A storm of enemies, in a stormy weather.
Enemies spawn less during the storm so it's calmer, and spawns more during the storm.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Mostly the code, and some assets. The rest are free assets.

cool graphics, I had some trouble with the camera
My feedback is basically the same with a lot of people: The Camera. But other than that it was a pretty cool game overall, great work!
Nice work! Idea is cool. To improve, I would work on the UI to make it look better, and maybe adjust the camera and the fighting, because it felt a bit clunky. That's still a nice achievement to finish this for the jam!
Really nice polish and feel on the game, not having a thumbnail really hurts the amount of ratings you are getting which is a shame because the game is quite fun!
Nice game! The tornado ability was very cool and satisfying to use. The camera felt a bit odd but was still manageable. Overall, great work.

Cool game and simple. Camera is a bit of a hassle but I managed to find some way to make it work.

This is a cool game! I liked the music and the tornado ability feels cool to destroy enemies with.
Two pieces of feedback I have is the mouse sensitivity is too high, it would be great to have as a setting, and there isn't much feedback when the player takes damage. The health bar ticks down, but it would be good to have an animation, sound effect, or some hit pause when the player takes damage. You have the animation, particle effect, and sound already for when the player attacks and damages enemies, just need to apply some of that to the player taking damage! If you apply some Hit pause to enemies taking damage and make them flash white or red for a moment it'll make the tornado ability feel really meaty!

Not sure you need to have camera movement, this is a closed little arena, a fixed top view is perfectly fine
Other than that, it was fun to play.
The camera is holding this back - you should probably just remove the vertical motion from it and fix the cameras zoom distance / angle.
Once I figured out how to not have the camera be terrible it was much more playable, cute character, mostly worked well.
Camera was clunky, but I like the look of the character and everything. Its very reminiscent of PS1 era games. This could be expanded to something more that just a wave fighter if you so desired. The tornado move is very cool.
I appreciate the work you put into this jam, but there were a few issues with this game. The theme was pretty loosely connected, and the design was pretty minimal. Thank you for submitting!
Unfortunately hard to play. The camera controls are really hard to handle properly. Nice moody music. Was not able to get very far as I kept dying.
I dont think it fits the theme really well but besides. The camera is moving weirdly i think if you fixed it the game would do much better. I really hope you continue making games as this is pretty good.

I donn't feel like this game fits too much the theme as a whole, yes there are storms but it doesn't feel like "The Calm Before The Storm".
The game does feel unfinished and thhe camera is inverted by default for some reason.
I don't see a clear goal in the game, but maybbe i missed somethhing.
Gameplay wise it works, just veryy simple.
Hope you had fun making the game !
Nice game, it does fit well the theme. The only thing it's the player view that is a bit hard to control.
