How does your game fit the theme?
The game is about protecting a village from harsh storms, by nurturing trees when the weather is "calm".

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. LorinczAdrien wrote the code, SaroltaMihaly created all the assets, beside a single sprite, which is linked in the credits.

I saved the village! I like the emphasis on the calm aspect of the theme. It was nice and relaxing. You get the player to create a tree that is strong and resilient, and you leave enough time to make it your own unique, beautiful tree. The art and audio are also very nice!

Great game!

Hee-ho. Meditation game. Very nice

Developer

Thanks for playing (meditating with us :D).

Very creative aproach of the theme! I loved the puzzle element of the game. Maybe you could add a sound when the timer is going low? Also is  bit weird holding right click instead of left.

Overall great game!

Thanks for the feedback!!

We've noticed that it really depends on how people use the scroll wheel, if they use the index finger for scrolling than it's comfortable, if not than they prefer left click for grabbing :D.

We should have added a configuration option for that, also great idea about the notification noise, you can get lost in placing.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Super cute! I read the controls and then instantly forgot how to grab branches and still won :D

I've said the same to my colleague :D

Thanks for playing!

Cute game! I love the intro and the mechanic is definitely unique. Visuals are also very charming. I think the initial difficulty could be harder, as I just sort of placed branches to reach the edge of the circle and didn't really learn the mechanic. Nice that there is a diffulty setting in Options but you could definitely have it start on the medium setting.

Great work and hope you enjoyed the jam!

Wish we'd have more time for balancing :D. In retrospective, the difficulty options should have been placed there, we just didn't have time to make it pretty :(.

Glad you enjoyed it, we had a lot of fun too!!

I love the tree monstrosity that I've made to save the village hahaha. I have really high hopes for this one. It's very polished, the art style and the sound effects work flawlessly with each other. The color pallet also adds to the feel of the game. Really enjoyed the game. Really hope to see this game getting featured! Wonderful job people.

Developer

Thanks for the kind words ❤️!! We're glad you had fun!

Also, nice profile picture :)

Nice cozy game!

Beat the game two times with some crazy looking trees! 😅

Developer

Glad you had fun! The bigger the score, the crazier the tree :D

What a lovely relaxing game ! I forgot i could actually rotate the branches but i still beat the game on normal difficulty with the ugliest tree layout imaginable hahaha (might go back later for the hard mode)
The concept is really cute and the atmosphere feels really cozy, good job !

Developer

Thanks for playing it, we're glad you had fun!!

We've also noticed that if you try hard on scores you get the ugliest trees :))

Modern storybook vibes! Pretty art and calming music. The instructions were clear and an interesting mechanic concept.

Unfortunately, I can't rate this one because It is impossible to right click and scroll on a trackpad and prohibitively frustrating on an apple magic mouse, which is all I have access to at the moment.

Developer

Thanks for taking a look! I'm sorry we could not provide some rebinding options.

Also you're game is absolutely amazing!!

I really love the concept of this game!

It was lovely to play, though my mouse is a bit fucked so I had trouble rotating the branches (but that's on me haha) I would love to play it again to relax!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it!! (also mouse goes brrrrr)

I enjoyed the game, it has a nice art style (reminds me of "A Little to the Left") as it's very soft and cosy. It was a fun little game and I'll be trying again on the hardest difficulty (I played on the middle).

I didn't like the right mouse button being the option for selecting the branch as it's not the normal button used for interaction and it did throw me a bit and I failed the first attempt as I lost time with that so personally I'd say switch it or perhaps add the option to allow people to choose.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

From the random sample of testing we did with friends 1/4 said the same thing, we wanted to add an option to switch the branch pickup key, but ran out of time :D. It seems some people find this combo uncomfortable.

Thanks for the kind words.

This is the first time I’ve given a 5/5 for both innovation and theme so far. The game is incredibly unique, with an amazing atmosphere to match. Well done!

Developer

Wow, thanks a lot!!! ❤️

Hope you had fun!

I like the vibe of the game. The premise and the story.
Art and combine mechanics are cool. Music and sfx is chill and nice.
Very cool entry!

Stop by and check Stormflow as well!

Love the art and the music! Great how you can combine 2 similar pieces to make a bigger one! Good job :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! That core mechanic actually came later in development, it was fun to implement as well 😁

The art looks great. The idea is there. Great work, Good Luck!

Really cool concept but I would have loved if it was just a bit harder. Also the branches movement with the mouse are a bit janky. The art is very good tho.

Developer

We didn't have much time for balancing, but there's a difficulty setting in the 'Options' menu. That may provide more challenge.

Regarding the mouse movement, did you find the bindings annoying or for example the rotation of branches was janky? (Some people prefered using left mouse button instead of right)

Thanks for playing our game

Submitted(+1)

I think that the left mouse button would be a better for the selection and as for the rotation I think that it would be better if the rotation  of the branches snapped.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for the feedback!

(My co-creator also said the same about the mouse button, should have coded an option for it 😶)
