How does your game fit the theme?
An Elder's Quiet Day perfectly embodies "the calm before the storm" by contrasting the peaceful routine of a clockmaker's day with sudden, intense flashbacks of his traumatic past.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, I made all the code, all the art and music myself from scratch.
I used some CC0 sounds from free sound for sound effects.

The graphics are pretty good, but you can also see the missing part of the hand. I had to read the description for the controls, and it made sense why both left and right mouse had to be used. The storytelling is also great but imo lacking in terms of gameplay. Good work on creating a nice and simple game!
Nice alternate take on the theme. And an important message to remember in our times.
Good job overall!
Thanks for your detailed feedback, that means a lot! Your game is probably my favourite in the jam so far.
Lovely concept and I think it fits the theme well! I love the tone of it and I like that the game has an underlying message. Would love to have a few more puzzles but great job nonetheless!
Thank you Scoopsy! 🙂
Nice take on the theme and good art and storytelling, well done !
Thanks a lot!
Nice artwork and a pretty good storytelling. Using the theme to bring in a message on PTSD was something I didn't expect. The audio is really nice as well. Overall a great job!
Thanks a lot Epsilon!
Had to scavenge my home for a mouse to use the controls, but I'm glad I did. A great medium to evoke a powerful message. Well done!
Thank you! Yes I've realised I have to add trackpad support to my next game, I completely missed it. Thanks for playing!
I really like the concept you presented here. Very short, but a clear and meaningful message, with the emotional context really well portrayed
Thanks a lot! :)
I felt sad after playing this. I have PTSD too, but from a different experience. The gameplay is very impressive and delivers a powerful message. Nice artwork and story-telling!
Thanks a lot for your kind words!
I liked what I could play, but I'm afraid that was not very much. On my browser, holding right click and moving the mouse is how to do a bunch of shortcuts, like reload, previous page, or next page, so it was hard to actually interact with stuff in the game.
I got past the clock section and then to a bomb but that is about it :L
To reiterate, though, I enjoyed the graphics, music, and what little interaction I could manage. Good job, but next time when doing a web game I would urge only using left click as a mouse input.
Thanks for the feedback Alex. Yes sadly I got blinded by my own computers and using a mouse. Next time I'll be sure to at least implement alternative ways to press the buttons!
Thanks for playing anyway, I'm glad you got to see the bomb!
pretty fun game. I like the hand with the tweezers. all though pressing left and right click at the same time on a macbook touchpad I couldn’t figure out haha. gotta use an actual mouse
Hi, yes sadly I didn't think about macs and other people who don't use a mouse. That's my bad, next time I'll be sure to add different keybinds! Thanks for playing and thanks for your feedback!
Great game concept and very impressive gameplay. Always wanted to try fixing the clock - so much fun to play. One problem is I'm using a macbook and have to find a mouse to play it. If I can press two keys to do the same work, like left and right arrow keys, that will be more friendly for mac users.
Thanks for the great feedback, I should have thought about that! Thanks!
despite being so short, this game had such a powerful message; the artwork is lovely and this is such a unique take on the theme!
Thank you! :)
A lovely short story told in only two scenes
"You never know what the other person might be going through..."
Quite short, but a with a powerful message. Thank you for this game.
Really good artstyle and nice message at the end. Congrats!
Beautiful game, both in art and in idea
Thank you!
That's a way to send a message, didn't expect that! Very touching theme implementation.
Good work!
Thanks a lot Enweave!
I was intrigued by the description you gave because I also went for an emotional turmoil as the storm. I really like the concept and I wish there were more available clocks to made to unravel more of the story behind of the character. Keep up the good work! You can check out my game as well if you like story-based, puzzle games :)
Thank you! Your game is beautiful but I'm too dumb for it! :)
I was sure not expecting that! That was a real storm!
Thanks Austin! :)
the music is relaxing, and art work is pretty good. In the game you can feel the story behind the clockmaker.
Thank you!
