Great game, I had a lot of fun playing it!

I don't know if I got some bug but it didn't seem like I was actually playing, it seemed like the game was auto-playing a sequence rather than me playing it, and me clicking didn't do anything. When the counter would go to zero, there would be a brief audio of storm music, but it would cut out right away and then go back to the building phase, which again seemed like it was going on by itself without me doing anything.

Even having enough money, I couldn't build anything. When I selected the cheapest one to place it, I thought I was building it but upon looking closer, I think it wasn't me, I think it was just the game auto playing some sequence and whenever I clicked it most of the time nothing would happen, other times it appeared I placed something, but I think I didn't, actually and it was coincidence.

It's possible I missed something so I may want to try it again if I have time, it's possible I got some one-off bug or something, but not sure.

First of all thanks for trying our game and your feedback.

An error in some scenes might be triggering other errors, leading to a chain reaction of issues by chance. We would like you to play it again if you have time! :D

I think you did my mistake and tried building on the land, you are actually the villain and you have to build them in the water where the grid is.

The storm cut out because you didn't build any attacks so the attack phase was immediately over.

Sounds like it was my mistake then, I might try it again soon if I can and see if your tip helps.

Outstanding work! This game offers a fresh and fun experience that’s both challenging and rewarding. The level of detail and care is obvious, making it a truly great accomplishment.

Was a fun game! My only critique is the actual place-ables text would flash in and out so it was hard to read what they did, but other than that good job!

Awesome art style! I was really impressed by the meeples, how they grew over time, and how they built. I was even more impressed when I realized I had to destroy them. :D

While I was playing I wasn’t sure how effective the tornado was - most of my strategies involved placing leaves and as many squids as I could, just because they felt so powerful! That being said, I’m looking forward to experimenting a bit more.

One small quality-of-life thing that might be a quick win for this would be scrolling in/out, but that’s super tangential - and definitely a post-jam polish item.

Overall had a ton of fun with your game and think it’s a really cool idea!

Just incredible. I loved how we take control of who's causing the storm, not the ones affected by it. The gameplay is smooth, and the graphics are lovely! Great game

Loved! would love to see more

I really enjoyed it ! I don't get all the logic behind how you can or cannot place certains objects on certain parts of the grid but it's fun to unleash Poseidon's wrath on these peasants ! Kinda wish i could get a refund on the constructions interrupted by the start of the storms though.
Great work !

Are you sure you enjoyed it? I didn't get the logic either. To me I then noticed it's possible the game was playing a predetermined sequence, and you can't place anything. What I mean by that is there is an illusion of a game here, and the player actually can't do anything. I even heard storm audio and then it cuts out and just goes back to the sequence again.

It's possible I'm getting some strange bug though, but I don't know.

Uhm yeah i'm pretty sure i enjoyed it..? Weird question there my friend.

I actually did play the game 3 times to try to understand the placement logic, and each time the villagers placed the buildings differently. It also allowed me to try different strategies with the balancing of money to give a more useful review on something that hadn't already been said. In the end i even found the best tactic for me was to not bother with attacks during the first round to instead build leaves maker so i have a lot of money in the next rounds to use all the different powers.
The other thing i had to understand is that Poseidon is the one actually building the powers, so he needs time to actually get to the power location and build it once you place it . That's why you can't place things 2s before the storm otherwise it will just not be ready and you won't get a refund, hence my review.

It's definitely not a predetermined sequence, and the villagers have a random AI on the placement of their building that actually allows a replay that's not the exact same game. They don't just replay the same sequence rounds after rounds and place the building at the same locations each time.
Sure it doesn't have the replayability as a fully released game once you get the tactic but like... it's a game jam. I'm happy that i can even play twice (and here even more) and not feel like i'm going through the same exact sequence, which is not always the case with jam games.

Calling it an illusion of a game is quite the choice of terms, and i find it really harsh to use this expression to describe this project. It's actually one of the few games that i could remember quite easily in details without even looking at the game page.

I think it's because it's my mistake actually, I should play it again and check it, I think I might know now what I may have done wrong.

The real mistake I also made is I usually skip rating games if I suspect I might have overlooked something. Instead I accidentally assigned a rating to this specific game. Since the rating cannot be removed, right now I want to play the game again as soon as possible and correct my rating as soon as I can.

I think you are right as well, I may consider to check more carefully next time on some specific kinds of games where for some reason I may be more likely to overlook and think something else is going on than actually is, thank you for pointing it out and I may check on improving about this.

Great stuff! Nice graphics and sound! It would be nice if you could attack from the sides as well. Please rate my game :)

Thanks for playing the game. Actually, you can rotate objects by pressing "R" key. :)

Gonna give it another go ! Thanks!

I played this one yesterday evening and forgot to rate, great art, great twist on the generic genre and overall a very enjoyable experience. I might even come back for it for a bit more later :)

It's a wonderful isometric art.
At first, I thought it was a defense game, but it turned out that the player was attacking
That's new
I think octopus is the most efficient
It was fun

Cool game

Great game! I had fun playing it. I really like the idea. It would be cool if you could manually start the combat, first few rounds there is not much to do but sit and wait for the timer.

Looks neat! Nice project ^^

Really good game, interesting to play, kind of addictive) Also looks so good. And everything is so polished already. I'd only say it wold be cool to have more clear direction arrows.

Good job!

Took me a little bit until I got that you should ignore the houses and gor for the statue.

Liked the game! I like how in most games you protect the village, but here you need to destroy it!
