This is a very impressive game. The graphics were very immersive and the mechanics were great too. I liked the variety of the enemies, although the final boss was actually a bit easier than the previous enemies.

Story-wise I really enjoyed playing as the "bad guy", even though I felt a bit sorry for the ants. Wonder what happened to the ant in the middle of the rocks by the end.

Developer

Thank you for playing to the end and thank you kindly for your positive feedback!

As to the ant in the middle of the arena:

That is a good question! After a brave scouting ant had passed on to the queen that a RaGiNG cordyceps was headed their way, she has made preparations for a fight. In case of an encounter her personal antertainer would be tasked with being the shot caller in the arena.

Due to the antertainer's tendency to overuse cheap puns he had a poor reputation within the colony. This is why he was dropped off in the middle of the arena and tightly surrounded with pebbles. He won't be missed.

wonderful 5 stars! Thoroughly loved it.

Ran a little janky at times though, especially in the arena.

Ends a bit abruptly, but this was neat and had a lot more content than I expected!

I've heard of this fungus before and it's crazy! Interesting to see how you made a game based on it. Nice game. The intro cut-scene is a nice touch - really makes it looked polished.

LOVE the audio - that opening scene is sublime! Love the dialogue & artwork, amazing concept! Nailed it :)

I enjoyed so much! The story is well structured and reasoned to fight against fellow ants. The queen ant was tuned great for me. It was very difficult at the beginning but not at the impossible extent - it took me 4-5 times to beat it, which was satisfying. fANTastic job!

I had a lot of fun with this game. The gameplay is really polished and I like that there are several enemy types. The art is great, it looks really clean and the colors compliment each other well. I thought the dialogue was pretty funny too. Overall, this is a great game!

Super polised game. The last boss was quite challenging.

Really well designed, great theme interpretation, good story and just all round fun to play. Great job!

Love the story and the concept as playing an enemy from within-- the controls and mechanics are super ANTuitive (hehe), and the music paired with your little mushroom friend is so fitting!! I wish it was a little less linear because the world seems like it's built to be open world but nothing happens unless you follow the path, but other than that, super well done! C:

Developer

Thank you so much for your nice comment! Game dev is new to us and it is awesome to see our concept (and the puns :D) resonate so well with people.
And thanks for that feedback regarding the linearity, with more time we would've loved to hide some secrets. The stag beetle boss was originally intended to be in an optional area.

Oh my gosh the intro! The animation, and the graphics, music, everything! I I really like this concept paired with an insect theme. Loved the enemies! Art was gorgeous and I liked the story! The ant being ostracized for having spores was totally unexpected. Super cool project! Even little things like the ant that was trying to climb the flower to get to the aphid, lots of great little details!

I really liked that intro :3 Really funny and enjoyable game!! Nice graphics and music, keeps you into the history. Its kinda difficult for me, I cannot dodge from the ants attack xD I will keep trying until I can finish the game! And looking forward  to follow it if you do more levels from it! Really well done :3

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you enjoyed it so far! Maybe I can give you some tips if you want to come back to it :D You can try to circle closely around the enemy ants. Makes it easier to dodge. Apart from that you can use your dash (space bar) to dodge. While dashing you are invincible.

We didn't tell the whole story as we intended, so who knows, there may come more levels!

Wow! Nice! The first time I played, WASD wouldn't work, but I reloaded and got to play and it was really fun! Really nice aesthetic and I loved the sound design and creatures! Nice work all around!

Amazing art, so well animated feels professional. Nice crisp fast combat with a good escalation scale of abilities and challenges. And the adorable mushroom friend. The only issue I had was I got a little lost after the arena. The music and sound were nice and clean.
