This is easily the most polished game so far that ive played! it is reminiscent of snipperclips for thr nintendo switch and ibb and obb. Controls feel very responsive and smooth. i got stuck on level 4 cuz im not good at puzzles lol. Overall very inspiring that you made this in just 1 month!

Developer

Thanks a lot Kayla!

Interesting idea and looks really polished! I kept hitting the underneath of other platforms while jumping, though maybe that was just me. Good job!

Developer

Thanks, Sea Bunny Stories!

Really cool presentation, doodle aesthetics is probably my most favorite graphics style. Levels are fun and engaging to solve. Although I have some minor complaints and bugs:

1) Wish there was an indicator where the block will be placed, because otherwise it is too easy to drop it somewhere you don't want to

2) You can't pick up block if they are directily under your feet, which sometimes softlocks the character

3) Music turns off when you restart the level

4) The text in the tutorial is hard to read, with my bad eyesight I could barely see button labels even in fullscreen

5) Wish where was a faster way to restart the level

Aside from that very enjoyable game, fascinating that it was made in 1 month!

Developer

Dear Illarn, thanks a lot for your feedback about our game!

These are all things that will be polished, fixed, and updated in the next version of the game to improve the overall experience of the game!

Glad to see more people using Godot, that's always a good sign! 😄

The game's quite enjoyable, it kind of reminds me of Snipperclips for Nintendo Switch, and I think that if you develop this prototype even further, you can make yourselves a place in the market, good job!

I have to admit that I'm not a huge fan of being slower while jumping. I've developed quite a few platformers in the past, so I'm really strict in the gameplay aspect of this kind of games, but I also understand that the main focus is cooperation between characters and resolving a puzzle. Nonetheless, my advice is to refine a little bit more the movement system of the characters, make it feel a little more natural while jumping, so you can take the next step in quality 😊

You have done a very good job, keep improving guys! 😃

Developer(+1)

Dear Polanski, thanks a lot for your feedback!

We found Godot a very versatile engine, surely it will have a big role in the future!

For sure we will continue improving" We are planning and trying to understand how to fix the movement and controls of the characters to create a better experience for the player.

That's great! I hope nothing but the best for you guys! 😄

Really well made game! I’m very impressed by the level of polish you all were able to pull off in a month’s time. Having made a very similar game, it was super fun to see another take on this type of puzzle platformer!

Developer

Hi Anders, thanks for your comment!

Surely we will give a try to yours

Really good. A masterclass in elegant game design with exceptional polish and refinement.

I love the one-page tutorial.

Thanks a lot, Plexsoup!

Lots of charm to this one. I really appreciate the level of polish and the art direction. I felt that the actual movement/platforming aspect of the game could use some refinement, but a really great entry for the jam!

Developer

Dear Jacobtydrake, thanks for your comment.

It is highly appreciated.

Jump and movements will be refined in the next version, so stay tuned!

The art is super pretty and the vibe of the game brings peace and relaxation even for a puzzle style game, good gob!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks a lot, Ivan Gamez! Our game is surely not a frenetic one, glad you like it

Fun game and great aesthetics. I didn’t make it very far because I’m not great at platformers and kept failing to jump when I meant to, but it looks like the levels are well thought out.

Developer

Thanks a lot Paranoid Budgie

Love the hand-drawn aesthetic, the overall vibe, and it's definitely a solid brain teaser.

My critique would be that the platforming could be a little more generous to the player (bigger colliders and more jump power, plus 'coyote-time' air hanging, as some suggestions). This would prevent the frustration of making a small keypress error and having to reset the puzzle back to the state it was at before. Not that that happened to me of course *cough*

Looks like you've got a lot of players rolling in! Don't let any negativity get to you, all those pings. This is a great, complete entry and your team deserves to be proud.

Developer

Dear Lanyard, thank you so much for your comment.

Also, your suggestions about the improvement of the platformer are appreciated. The platforming will be polished in future updates.

Beautiful game, very good ideas, overall it's very very good!

However, sometimes I stuck myself and I just have to restart the level (for example, I no longer can grab the cube because it's under me)

It's sad, because it just happens when I try things.

I think you could resolve my problem only by giving us the ability to grab cubes right under our feet. This way, my problem is no more :D

Anyway, good job overall :)

Developer

Thanks, Emilien for your comment!

We will surely work on the game trying to find technical solutions to fix these strange situations

A fun and polished game! I really enjoyed the art style, the whole hand-drawn doodle style works really well. The animations were incredibly smooth and fluid and I loved how the tutorial text was incorporated into the backgrounds. The level designs are creative and the soundtrack is fun. GG!

Thank you so much Miru, your comment is highly appreciated.

Very fun and had a unique concept. Definitely one of the best games I've played for the jam so far. Great job!

You made a pretty polished experience overall. For some reason, the movement felt better with a controller rather than with the keyboard.

I genuinely loved the death animations (how the eyes rotate in the opposite direction than the body). :D

In level 5, the spring on the moving platform keeps clipping through it and then it is impossible to finish the level (see screenshot).

Developer

Dear Envilon Script, thanks for your comment.

Regarding the controls, we will surely polish them and present to the players an updated version.

Regarding the bug related to the spiring clipped with the moving platform, we are aware of the situation, and we are working to solve the issue

i like the game, I had some problems with the player movement, but I had a lot of fun :D

Thanks a lot Lucas1550!

So cool. I love puzzle in this game. The controls are too hard and I found some collision bug, but overall is really nice game.

Developer
