Very easy to get lost in but I think that was the point. Really enjoyed the core gameplay, it's well put together and having each enemy be more susceptible to different types of attacks made it a lot more challenging in a good way. All around really solid game, nicely done!

How does your game match the theme?
The Game Takes Place on an infested Space Station, which is the level the player explores throughout as they journey to get keys to unlock the bridge and face the hive mind that took over the station.

Very fun game! Great graphics, very good music.
Also, thank you for the map. I would have been quite helpless without it. Even as it was, I got lost and failed to find the third key. :)
I must say that I couldn't really tell the difference between the three weapons. I assumed they were light, medium, and heavy attacks, but I could not tell when or why I should use one instead of the other. So I just mixed it up randomly.
May I ask how you constructed the pseudo-3D environment? It looks really good.
Obviously Dave has explained the fake-3D enviroment, but with regards to the weapons, it came down to Combat being the final big addition and they were supposed to feature accuracy differences in exchange for big damage chances but hit-chance never got added in time, alas. It's certainly on my to-do list for a post-jam update, as well as redoing the station level to feel more coherent and room-based than winding corridors.
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Love the art style and concept of the gameplay, but I find myself only looking at the map display while I play to figure out where I am. If you could find a way to fix this then it would be a fun play!
I'm loving the vibe of this game... its been a while since I've played a 1st person dungeon crawler
Wow, this is quite polished! I liked figuring out the best shots for each of the enemies. Great work!
I enjoyed my time with this game, especially the enemy designs and overall theming. The layout of the minimap is disorienting, but I was ultimately quite immersed in the overall "feel" and atmosphere.
This some really well executed old school dungeon crawling.
A tiny arrow showing the facing direction in the map would help a lot, along with a big map screen. Really cool atmosphere, congrats!
Very cool game! Nice art. A bit labyrinthic (I think I was lost cause I couldn't find the boss for the god of me). But I liked that vibes! When you don't know what's waiting for you on the next corner. Nice music too!
Congrats
Very retro experience! The artwork and music were both very on point.
This game has great potential! Art is great and music is amazing! Gameplay is well paced and variety is really good for this limited time!
I just needed to have a big map to see where should i go next, i was really lost after a while (which was thrilling in it's own way!)
I gotta say, this game inspired me! so thank you!
Best wishes
I enjoyed my time with this but also got stuck on the boss and couldn't enter combat, other then that was a great little experience!
Great presentation all around, and it fit the theme well. The combat could use some tuning but I still had fun. The only issue I had was the final boss seemed to appear, but I didn't/couldn't enter combat
Great idea. Art is great, conveys the dungeon in a low resolution. I just couldn't finish it, feel like I explored a lot of the dungeon, but didn't find the end boss. The random battles seem a bit too easy. You can just pick random attacks, then heal, then random attack. Also I think the health bar isn't working.
For the map screen rotating the player icon to the facing direction would help a lot with navigation.
Also some way to tell the player the general direction to go. I don't think I go to the boss/bridge monster people are referencing.
I got stuck on the bridge monster too, I love the whole vibe to this game, great job
Rad, old-school inspired game. Amazing sprites, cool story and theming.
The gameplay was a lil hard for me to grapple with, frequently accidentally healing myself when checking to see if I needed to interact with something, but I also have not played games like this before, so it was new! Also encountered a bug at the bridge door with the key where a screen-filling monster wouldn't leave the screen until another fight started and couldn't be fought.
Sick game, love it.
Yeah, that monster was supposed to be the game boss and unfortunately they are kinda broken following you around, you need to find an item to fight it. The best thing would have been making a special room for it but we ran out of time. I'm glad you liked the rest thou, hope you had a nice time playing it!
Totally loved this, music and art are great and an old school dungeon crawler is such a fun idea and well executed.
