Very cool game! The boomerang mechanic is neat and makes gameplay a lot more interesting. I like how you integrated it with levels and defeating some enemies (like carrots with shields). Puzzles where easy but engaging and also designed to work with the boomerang which I also consider a very good practise in game design. The music is simple, but sound effects are satisfying. Good job!

Cute little game! My only real critique is how the character jitters if you press up or down against a wall - if you press down against a wall while the camera is moving,  the character even starts jittering to the sides!

It'd also have been nice to have some kind of ending, or a highscore to keep track of, but it's quite a simple yet nice little romp as-is. I like how the start of each level makes sure you know what you need before letting you progress.

The boomerang mechanics are interesting and fun! Physics were a little glitchy but I think thats from Unity Rigidbody / Transform issues. Good job!

That was really fun! Great work!

This is super cute. The boomerang mechanic is interesting and made for some interesting levels as it progressed! Well done!

This game surprised me. The visuals & music are very pleasant.  The boomerang shooting mechanic & puzzle/enemy added a good amount of depth.

Honestly did not expect to have that much fun! The boomerang mechanic was really fun to use and I felt like I was improving as the game went on. It was challenging enough that it felt good to get passed each area. The graphics are really cute as well :) Great game!

This is one of the hidden jewels of this jam.

Fun game! Has a lot of charm and cuteness to it. The difficulty curve was very well done and mechanics were introduced in the puzzles in a great way. The color palette also deserves praise!

neat mechanic with the boomerang and using it to manuver around some walls to flip switches and such! suspending the boomerang above the little minibosses made them stand no chance haha. nice work

Nice take on the theme, who doesn't love playing as a space monkey? The bananarang attack was a great invention, it makes for a puzzle element instead of just non stop blasting. The move speed felt good too, which you don't see all the time.

The core mechanic is really neat, and you've made really good use of it. It's a bit too difficult (some parts seem to be impossible to get without being hit) but I enjoyed it!

Leaving the boomerang out to kill most enemies is slightly broken, but it was still fun :D

Well done! Cute music, slightly difficult controls.

Fun puzzle design. The controls were a bit hard to pick up but once I got it, it was interesting. Good job!

Cool twist, hope you take part in more jams!

I liked the puzzles which rely upon boomeranging the projectile backwards to curve your shots. One thing I noticed is in areas where the scrolling stopped, if there is collision at the top of the screen then the boomerang hits it and is destroyed, whereas if there is no object past the edge of the screen the boomerang comes back. But from the player's perspective, both look the same especially on your first time through a level, and so it makes it feel inconsistent whether the boomerang will bounce off the back of the screen or not.

Also, I'm not sure if its meant to look like the boomerang is spinning when its coming back, but it looks like visually there are just two boomerangs, slightly offset, as they return to you. Could be a visual glitch.

Fun game! My fave parts:

-the cute feel and accompanying track
-the unique shooting mechanic
-mouse boss!
-the welcoming mid-range and consistent difficulty

Thanks for the game!

I really like how you taught the boomerang before the game starts! Cool concept, reminded me of a warioware minigame.
