Neat idea! The orange color palette looks great. The enemies seemed a bit wonky too me, like their hit boxes were larger than they looked like they would be.

Hmm, interesting. The rolling movement is quite fun!

A lot of the enemies seemed to be invisible? I kept taking damage when nothing appeared to be on screen, and a lot of bullets seemed to impact something invisible.

The art is pretty good. That title art is killer!

The audio is quite imbalanced. The gunshots are louder than the intro music, and the player damage sound is VERY loud, peaking at +1.9 dB!

All-in-all, good work. Congratulations on the submission!

Love the concept and it controls nicely but it needs more game! XD

Some aliens seems to be invissible and I get killed by thin air. Also the hurtboxes may need some adjustment...

Cool concept tho

Nice graphics and music.

I think it would be best if the first enemies who appear take fewer shots to kill; later waves of enemies can be tougher.

Diagonal shooting would have been a great option, too.

The game ended very abruptly for me--I think I beat it, but I just got the credits, no narrative about what I accomplished.

I created the music so I appreciate that you liked it. More of my projects

It's nice to see a game not set in outer-space in this jam!

The pixel art for the title screen was amazing. I do wish the game had a bit more iframes but beside that I enjoyed my time.

I think overall it might play a little better if bullets fired less frequently but did more damage. Fun game and great title art. Bonus points for great secondary theme interpretation

Nice game, but sometimes I’d get repeatedly damaged by an enemy by running into them… probably needs a short invincibility after you get hit once

I'll join in the chorus praising the title screen!

That title screen animation was slick. The roll mechanic was cool too. The gameplay though was quite basic in nature. My playthroughs were ended by death to invisible bandits and death to the credit screen.

Great title screen!

Nice game!!! It's very pretty and it feels like the mini-game you have in stardew valley

The cover art really dragged me in, and the controller was smooth. I didn't understand the theme until I read then question, and I found the game's camera odd. It felt fun to shoot the other guys and has a game boy feeling to it. Round 'em up cowboy! 🤠

That title screen is great!  The game seemed to be a little glitchy.  Sprites seemed to get offset from the triggers or something so I couldn't shoot the enemies and would be killed by invisible outlaws. The game was fun and simple though! I enjoyed it.

Awesome title screen! I'd like to give mine a coat of polish before I upload a post-jam version

Great art! 5 stars for Gameboy soul, felt like I was playing a ROM, fun small game!

Very nice graphics! Felt like a native game boy game 100%. I love the roll mechanic :)

I like the idea, and your relation to the theme is funny
