The sprites and music are great! It took me a while to understand how to use paper, but after that I had a good time. I'd love a score counter, and/or the game being faster the more you progress.
I don't think I have experienced any bugs. Good work! :)

How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
You go to a old mansion to play rock, paper, scissors againsts ghosts

I like the idea and the art looks great, the gameplay seems buggy though and I was left confused on how to rock-paper-scissors these ghosts without dying after 20s but what can you do. still though it has a lot of charm to it, again the art is great and the audio is nice. overall it's definitely flawed but still enjoyable.
Yeah, we got a little bit rushed and that never helps projects so we had to try and make it as fun as possible (which made the game buggier than expected, so sad). Thanks for the charm part, I always love drawing for projects (and reading comments like yours too!). Thanks a lot for playing our game!!!
It wasn't until I died a few times I realized the skelatal hands were also playing Rock paper scissors. Some of the interactions felt a bitty buggy or unresponsive and I go stuck in an infinite loop towards the end.
That all being said, the sfx music and art are all phenomenal. Its a cute concept with a great design
It's an interesting idea and really nicely made sprites. It seems to be a bit buggy as it often doesn't seem to accept the right response correctly making the fail sound and taking damage (or at least that's my impression). I also managed to get locked in "combat" while looking around with no ghost around, resulting in the hamster moving on with no more ghosts spawning. I can't seem to finish the game even in multiple attempts.
The music is nice even if a bit repetitive. It's not exactly a game you would find in on a GameBoy on it's own, but could easily be a stage or mode on a bigger game.
Solid entry.
That was cool! The mechanics are a little confusing, but otherwise competent. The soundtrack is creepy, the art is proficient, and the character design is exceedingly charming!
The sound that plays after choosing an option is quite loud compared to the other sounds.
All-in-all, good work!
i really like your game idea and the atmosphere created by your great pixel art and spookie soundtrack, but there is something i don't understand. Most of the time when i do the right attack (ex: scissors vs paper) it doesn't play the "good sound effect" but the "wrong sound effect" and the hero takes damage. Is there something i missed?
This game looks very nice but I couldn't figure out how to play it :/
The first arm that hangs from the ceiling is a paper, so I choose scissors, but I still lose... then I also lose because I passed by what looked like a cabinet with hairs (?) sticking out of it? No idea what to make of that...
if that's some sort of bug that get fixed, let me know and I'll try again ^^
I streamed your game, heres the Vod if you like to watch
The character design is so expressive! Excellent presentation overall, congrats!
Like the visual design of this game a lot! I am in agreement however that it'd help to have some more clear audio/visual indicator of success vs failure when it comes to each face-off.
The flashlight effect was cool and the graphics were fun and spooky. I think I was pushing the right buttons to play rock/paper/scissors, but I got a sound that made me feel like I was wrong every time. Showing what the ghost played against me would have been nice. Or maybe showing how many times I had lost somewhere on the screen would have helped. The main character was really cool looking. You should keep it and use it again in future games.
I'm a bit confused by how the move is supposed to work. I was using the arrows to direct the light towards the hand, so I couldn't really press the arrows to play paper. Also the sound effect seemed to indicate that I chose the wrong move every time, yet I could still continue playing
