How does your game fit the theme?
Segments are joined together and rotated to solve puzzles. The idea of rotating joined circles is inspired by one of Fourier's contributions to mathematics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6sGWTCMz2k&t=6s

What. The. What.
I am genuinely worried for you. Doesn't your head hurts with that many brain cells inside ? How does a normal human being can think about such a geniously simple yet terribly complex idea for a 48h jam XD ? You madman/madwoman/madwhatever !
The concept is extraordinary, that's such a good idea for a puzzle game. Like the others said, it's really difficult to make the player think with rotations, and it mostly comes to trial and error. I have no idea how you could do a better job to make the player think, because this is such a unique concept... Maybe it would require a LOT of levels, with a carefully crafted difficulty curve, I don't know...
Nonetheless, I loved the concept. This has a HUGE potential. Congrats !
Wow, thank you so much. I really do appreciate your feedback. I promise, the feedback from you and everyone else is very motivating for me. I'm grateful for such a strong community of game-jammers!
This was one of my favorite comments during the Jam haha. A full version of Line Bender is now on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/line-bender/id1598044203
Why is this so addicting?? Simple good lokking game, with a very original idea! Fav++
I'm glad you enjoyed Line Bender!
I do really enjoy physicsbased puzzlers, and I must say that this is one of the most original ones I've seen in a long time! The pretty basic graphics do work very well with the gameplay, especially with that dope motion line.
The game is definetley very difficult, I guess especially if you're not familiar with Fourier's Circles (me hehe), but the gameplay loop was aslo definetley still fun enough to keep going! I do still think it might have benefitted from something that could make it easier for people if they wanted to, something like a pause function mid-try that could help people figure out where they're going wrong maybe?
But overall really enjoyed it, great job! :D
I'm glad you enjoyed Line Bender!
You bring up a good point that many others have shared as well. I'm not so certain about the pause function because it may affect the pace of the game, but you are certainly correct that many players will benefit from an optional way of making it easier. I'd really like to come up with a way to make the game easier for some players, without making them feel like they were robbed of a chance to discover a solution.
That's what I will be pondering for the next few days. Thanks for sharing your feedback!
Hope you'll figure it out!

Great game !!!
Took me a while to figure out the mechanics and logic behind it but once I had an idea the game was quite enjoyable.
Im not really good at it, and after the level with 3 rotating pieces I was just guessing, my brain couldnt handle it but its a great and interesting concept !!!
KUDOS
Awesome, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Really good concept and the gamplay WOULD have been good if it was easier to understand, and I wasn't just trying random things. I never get to learn what works and what doesn't. I just try random configurations until I get one that works
Thanks for sharing! I think you're right, but I also think that a big part of the game is exploring configurations. I think the next step is for me to figure out how to make the "randomness" feel more like "exploration". In any case, thanks for checking out Line Bender!
A full version of Line Bender is now on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/line-bender/id1598044203 -- I think gameplay is a little easier since the search space is a bit smaller :)
Cool concept, pretty stylishly presented :)
I thought you did well introducing the mechanics of how the game worked in the earlier levels of the tutorials.
My biggest issue was that I never really gained an intuition for how everything would behave, which meant I solved most of the puzzles incrementally by seeing how close each change I made got me to where I needed to be- as opposed to the more traditional approach of ‘thinking it through’.
But I think your interface was really well thought out. Having the arms quickly react to changes in the rotation counts instead of just making me watch all my failures play out kept this fun.
Thanks for sharing your feedback!
Many people have made that point about having to try and solve the game using trial and error instead of "thinking it through". What is interesting to me is that "trial and error" involves a lot of "thinking it through"! I think if I can somehow nail giving the player confidence that they are playing well by exploring solutions, then the players might not be so hard on themselves.
I appreciate that you and many others liked like the quick reactions -- that was one of the only ways I could think of making exploring solutions more fun.
Anyway, I'm glad you had fun playing Line Bender!
nice game.
As a mathematician I love the theme. I found the gameplay a little tricky, mostly trial and error. Maybe you could have a tutorial where the entire trajectory is shown? In order to build more of an intuition.
That's an interesting idea -- a trajectory might take away from the thrill of seeing a plan unfold, but it would certainly be great to help introduce the concept to players. Thanks for the feedback!
Amazing game! This concept is very unique and intresting and the puzzles are designed very well.
Great game, you got me thinking I was smart a few times, until I got stuck at one level and I wish I could have asked for a hint 🤣
haha no hints! I'm glad you had fun

What a thing to make a game out of of! Interesting, but takes a bit of trial and error in some levels.
This. Is. So. Much. Fun!
I can't stop playing!
Wow, great game! If feels really good to play, congrats!

I like these puzzles, the sound design is also very nice!

This is such a juicy game with physics, trail renders, SFX, I could keep playing it for hours!
Whoa, that was cool. I really liked the trail renderer on the ball as it was getting swung around multiple pivot points, haha. Made me feel smart when I found a solution even though it was really just trial and error on my part. But tricking me into feeling smart is great game design! :)
I'm glad you enjoyed Line Bender, but I don think I tricked you into feeling smart -- You must have had a knack for exploring in order to find solutions!

Amazing game with clever mechanics. Really love the level design. This game has a great difficulty curve.

Really cool concept, I hadn't really seen a puzzle like this before. It took me a few moments to figure out how to control it, but once I understood it I saw the potential of this. Good job!
I love the game but I hate Fourier! Noooooo
🤣😅
