I LIKE IT! My best time is 68.7s !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your thorough review :)
This gives off some serious "Getting Over It" vibes lol Fun game, although frustrating :) Only two things I have to say about this game:
1) I found the rolling sounds to be kind of loud/irritating
2) The difficulty ramps up a little bit too fast. Maybe ease the player in a bit by introducing each mechanic by itself first, before combining them and making them more complex. Specifically the section with the 5 spinning records was a huge jump in difficulty.
Otherwise, great game! Had a blast playing this! :)
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy the game. And thank you for your comments! I'll surely take them into consideration if we want to continue developing it
The gameplay is so simple yet so efficient & fun !
Great work !
This is a lot of fun to play, wow! That one sequence of 3 records is some real Getting Over it energy though. lol. Chill sound design made it even more fun to keep playing I think. Nicely done!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. Exactly our goal when we were adding the sounds.
I was stuck with these 5 spinning records for a couple of minutes... Still had a good time. Fun game! Good job! :)
This has big flash game energy and I am 1,000% here for it
Very fun, feels like good old Algodoo games
This was hilarious! I can't believe that evil moon stole my limbs, whats the deal with that? We need marble boy's backstory and an explanation for this vicious violent feud between him and the moon.
Good job, funny game and fun gameplay too!
The moon stole marble boy's limbs because he's evil! That's why he did that, glad you enjoyed the game.
The concept is great, a one button game with a very unique mechanic, I haven't seen anything like it!
The thing I would tweak a bit is the jumper with the clouds, they seem to push you higher or lower depending on how long you press the key, I think it adds an unnecessary challenge as this part seems to be more about timing than precision jumping. It would also be nice to have a restart at checkpoint key/button to shorten the wait to restart a challenge.
Hey! I'm glad you enjoyed playing the game! The clouds part was a bit buggy so with the 48 i had it was the best i could do, tho i agree with you it can be tweaked a bit. As for restarting, you can't restart at a checkpoint but you can restart the whole level in speedrun mode!
My favourite puzzle game so far this GMTK jam! The idea itself was neat, I like the way you kept introducing new gameplay elements while making the jumps more and more challenging, and the humor throughout was great as well. 5/5!
Thanks! I'm glad you had a good time playing it
What a tricky game! I included it in my GMTK compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
Thanks for playing the game!
Thank you for introducing me to this game that I would totally have missed otherwise :)
Thank you for introducing me to this game that I would totally have missed otherwise :)
This is really cool. I don't think I've seen anything in the jam so far that's quite like this. The only things that stood out to me were that having to time un-sticking on the first launchers (the ones on a timer) was a little more frustrating that I would have expected, and I wish the boss did more in the fight. Otherwise, I really liked it.
It reminds me of the Screwball Scramble games, with only one input to get through an obstacle course. Which I always liked as a child. So it atleast made me a bit nostalgic. Great level design, just the floating moving platforms that were a bit annoying.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed playing it. I agree, the floating platforms could have been a bit forgiving
Love the deceptively simple mechanic, and how you apply it to many different puzzle types, great job!
Just a little more polish would have been perfect though, as there were some clipping through the tiles at times.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
I agree that there were some rough spots when it came to using physics, hopefully we'll polish things up later
Really clever idea! Keep working on this one, and it’ll be a really cool game.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it
Gameplay feels great, also I am horrible at it.
Thanks! And also no worries, it doesn't take much practice to master :)
Really fun gameplay, I got my limbs back in 384.7 seconds!
I'm glad you liked it! After playing a few times in speedrun mode, you'll find your time decreasing drastically
There was indeed a definite feeling of skill progression as I played it, which was great.
I like it! Clean, polished game with a fun sticking to mechanic :D
It was much more fun than I had expected, good job!
