great interpretation of the theme! The art was nice and the levels were very well thought out. Nice work!
The mechanic is interesting although I feel like the merging of the color was a bit underutilized.
However, your art style is absolutely stunning!
Lovely puzzle game with super original idea! I really enjoyed playing it a lot!!!
I'm in love with the graphics and the sound effects and music! It really felt like a very polished game. and loved the level design!
My only critique would be the controls. Personally (I really lack patience) I found that it was very tedious to move the mirrors and prisms one step at a time, pressing space for every square. Maybe press space once and then be able to move it as far and long as you want, before pressing space again, or I would have preferred to rotate them and to move them with the mouse, but the character is so sweet and cute, I'd hate to see her gone.
Plus at the last level, I think I found a solution that requires one less mirror, but maybe that is intentional:
Yup, some of the puzzles have more than one solution, glad to see you found one of the shortcut solutions! We gave extra resources to the player on some of them so that players would find different solutions.
Really nice puzzles ! Playing with the light colors is super satisfying, while the game's nicely polished. Great job on this !
Very good puzzle game. I had a tough time understanding it at first but I eventually got it. I had to get some help from my GF though! Not really great with puzzles. Art style is very nice too.
I like the mechanics but you can get rid of the "character" and just drag and drop instead. That way it is faster and easier to position these elements.
Stunning job.
The idea of joining together light is genius, IMO. The gameplay is solid as well, and the art style is simplistic and clean. I'd actually really like to see this become a full-fledged release, one day.
Glad to hear that!
I liked these types of laser-puzzles in older games too, and I liked them here too. I wish there was more variety in terms of the mechanics and I didn’t like that I had press space for every single action, moving a mirror took a long time.
Quite fun puzzles! I really like the SFX too, and the atmosphere is nice. I would've liked a faster way to push block in a long line, or puzzles where moving a lot of things wasn't required. There was a surprisingly good variety of puzzles based on very simple mechanics. Great work!
I really like this puzzle game. It's simple yet fun to play. The only downside is that the control such as you need to press space to choose the object. But, overall, it's a good game. Good job!
Yup, we have definitely received feedback on that. Surprisingly, while we were testing it, we originally had a more fluid tower movement setup, but people requested a slower highlight system. Definitely one of the weirdest things about this jam xD.
The movement felt a bit clumsy, especially when not using a QWERTY layout, but the puzzles were challenging enough and the concept is beautifully executed!
The art and mechanic is good! The puzzle is interesting too! The only complaint I have is the control, it feels a little slow to move things, especially when I need to move something a long way. Other than that quite interesting!
The look and feel for your game was wonderful. I wish a new mechanic had be put in at some point as the last few levels didn't really feel all that different. Of the mechanics in the game I also wish there was a faster way to move blocks as it felt a little slow doing it one space at a time. I thought the art and music were both on point with a special call out to the little tunes as lights mixed and hit targets. Great levels of polish overall.
Yeah, we had some interesting mechanics like semi-transparent mirrors and tinted glass but we couldn't make it due to time constraints. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
This is my only complaint, too. Long-range moving was a bit of a pain. Otherwise, it's some excellent Talos Principle-level puzzle solving.
Definitely the most thought-provoking and fair puzzles I've seen in the jam so far! Love the playing with lights thing!
I wish it was a little quicker to move and rotate the various reflectors and prisms, but that's just a minor nit-pick. Great game!
Hey there, bolshevik here. That’s an amazing game you’ve got there, the theme interpretation is risky but pretty cool ngl.
I loved everything about the game, puzzles were creative, art direction is on point and sound design somehow relates to the game’s atmosphere.
Again, awesome game, sad to see so little ratings of it.
I love the looks of this game!! great great job
I love the art and this is a really good interpretation of the theme! Great job!
Thanks!
Excellent presentation and a great application of the theme. I think a brief walk-through tutorial informing the player that they first select the object before choosing the type of interaction would go a long way in preventing less patient players from getting frustrated early on. Such a small thing though. Nice work!
i loved the concept of manipulating light and I can see this being used in so many more ways! keep it up!
thanks!
The presentation is excellent and it seems like a pretty solid light-bending puzzler, really impressive work for 48hrs! Nice job!
