I like how you have combined two genres here. Very creative!
The idea is unique and interesting and the art is super cute! Love the Start and end screens. Nice job!
Love how you literally joined together two game types, in addition to joining pieces together. Lots of fun. Speed could ramp up a bit more gradually, it got frantic for me very quickly, but still very enjoyable.
Thanks for playing! Agree with your suggestion on the difficulty :)
Incredibly clever game with alot of feeling in it, a lot of fun to play and work out, the art is lovely and I think this is an idea worth expanding on!
I'm glad you liked it! Definitely will explore this idea a bit futher
I like the art style. I like how you joined a platformer and Tetris together. Would be cool to see future levels incorporate having to make a Tetris to clear out obstacles.
Thank you! That's a great suggestion. Similar to what you said, I actually thought about making some collectables inside the blocks and do a match 3 to collect them. Definitely will try out those different mechanics.
This is one of my favorites. Art is super cute and the mechanic is clever. If only I could move the tetris pieces faster, it seemed impossible not to lose no matter how fast I played
Really neat idea, with the awesome twist of "joining two genres together" ! That's a really clever take on the theme !
Overally the game is enjoyable ! Graphics are cute, the game is simple at first but becomes harder, and I love the general concept ! It reminds me of Tuper Tario Tros, a (very) old Flash game that mixed Super Mario 1 with Tetris elements to create the platforms ^^.
Just one drawback : the controls are a bit unintuitive. Having to rotate the tetris pieces with the same hand that controls the princess (and not the pieces) was disturbing. Maybe "IJKL" keys for the tetris pieces would have been a better choice ? Or maybe the numpad (but rip TKL users...) ? That's hard to figure...
Thanks for playing! "IJKL" sounds like a good idea, also makes the right-hand control more symmetrical to the left hand
This was a really clever and fun game!! It was quite tough, in a way that made we want to try again and get better. I loved the art too, the game over screen was amusing! I want to back and give the princess a happier adventure.
Maybe there could even be a happy ending after reaching a certain score. Thank you for playing :)
hah this was fun! gets hard real fast. Got a bit confused on the controls but got the hang of it kind of quick
Very fun! And very tough lol. I kept trying to jump with the spacebar! Haha loved the art and music!
Really cool idea. It gets hard really quickly! I want to play this as a two player game haha.
Looks nice. Tetris ideas are fun <3
Thank you. Tetris is the first few things that came to my mind about “joined together “
Awww, I love the art. The game over art is so cute too! I chuckled every time I died. Great idea and execution!
Thank you for playing! Glad you liked my art :)
I felt like it was really really complicated but then I learnd I could attach the blocks from the side ^^
Nicely done, but I don't feel like the abilty to move the princess is used enough. Also, enemies don't hurt you, they are just like blocks, I don't know if this was intentional or not.
Nice game overall, could become much better with a bit more time and polish!
Thank you for the comment. I was thinking the bats are like the opposite coins, you squish them to get points. I do wish I had more time on this. The bats are actually almost added last second.
Thank you for playing!
Made it to 29!
Nicely executed for a jam game! Sure the controls and difficulty are not there yet, but that’s for the full version ;)
I also really like that the princess can float like Peach!
Thank you! I’ll keep improving it :)
The difficulty could be balanced a bit more (by that i mean "i suck, please make it easier"), but it's really fun, the visuals are hilarious and the concept can be a successfuly addictive game. great work !
Hey there. Thank you for your comment! It definitely could have some difficulty curves :)
this is a cool concept although my monkey brain struggles to do two things at once haha (and the art is cute!)
Thank you for playing my game!
I feel mixed about this game. Firstly, I can not tell whether I am just bad, or the game is difficult in such a way that skill is not really relevant. While I appreciated the inclusion of many pieces of various shapes as well as coins and monsters, these felt like empty additions. I say this because my main focus was always on extending the bridge faster than the scrolling. If I was unlucky, the delay from rotating several vertical pieces would often mean certain death, no matter what I would do. I liked the art, but this game has a hard time being fun.
Hey there! Thank you for your honest feedback. Yeah at first I thought it's a good idea to "join Tetris blocks together to make a path way" but realized so many challenges to address in the middle of the jam. Maybe there is a way to make it but I just didn't find it. 🤷♂️
Fun, but a little bit confusing controls
Hey! Thank you for the feedback. Yeah I agree the control is a little complicated. Maybe I could have made the control more focused on the blocks, and have less or no control on the princess. Or the other way around
