This game style is really cute and it is a very well done job for a GJ !! the mechanics fits well the theme and the puzzles have a nice progressing difficulty, thanks a lot for the check points, after diying a lot in the very beginning it was a relief not coming back haha I see how this can be a full game! Great work! (: I don't know if I just didn't heard it or there is kinda not sign that the door opened (the first door) so I didn't notice and I was just there destroying my Q. Also if you neet to click on something to procced the dialog then maybe an "enter" or somenthing in the keyboard could be more convenient since we're using maily the keyboard to play (:

Thank you for your feedback! We are really glad you liked the game ^^ The sound of the door is quite low compared to others, we didin't realize it could be an issue. We will definitely change that sound as well as the click button as you suggested if the game gets further developed. Cheers!

This feels like it has a lot of potential to be a full game! It looks and sounds great! Very professional, great work!

Thank you very much for your feedback! It means a lot to us!

Great job with the presentation. The flying is a little wonky, but otherwise good job

Fantastic game, can't believe this is was made in such a short time! Caronte's insults added a lit of flavour to the experience, though it got a little predictable towards the end. Some sections where the floor just falls away could've used some indicator or warning, but what a game! Great work!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it. We lacked a bit of visual feedback for the player, we'll have that in mind for the future :)

Thanks for playing ^^

DANG IT NAVI!!!!!! X)))))

That's how I felt after a while when Caronte started to talk about every single detail XD. At the beginning of the game, that was a nice touch, but near the end, she litteraly explained me that I need to grab a KEY! X)))

Still, that was really nice! The game looks charming! The way the soul exits the body feels just right! When I tried for the first time I was wondering around and then I realized that the screen getting darker. That's a beautiful effect! It makes you feel like a spirit who's about to lost forever the path back to its body.

It was clean! I like it! :D

Developer

We kind of overexplained everything (oops sorry) we were afraid that the mechanics were a bit unclear so we tried to explain everything. And we kind of fucked it up xD. But I'm glad you liked it despite that ^^

Naaaaaaah it wasn't that complicated. X)

By the time I got out of jail, I had already played around long enough over there to understand how it works. Still Caronte's insults were fun tho! XD

Like "Dude! I didn't ask for none and you're insulting after giving me advice on your own! NAVI!" X)))))

That was fun!

Hey pretty cool game and very well made, especially for a jam! Great concept and theme to go with this jam. I like the idea of being able to leave your body and fly around and do other things. Also impressed that there was dialogue!! Although after a few minutes it was getting a bit tedious to have explained everything to me. Also, maybe I missed a clue or sign or something, but the ice bridge instantly collapsing was a bit annoying, and then it happened again later! That was a bit frustrating. Otherwise though fantastic job on this!! With a little extra time I'm sure you could turn this into a super fantastic experience!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for trying the game! Several people have told us the same thing about the dialogue, so we will definitley will improve it not only in this project ( if we further develop) but also in future projects. About the bridges, they were made so only the spirit could go through them unless they were made of wood. If you  had trouble with the wooden bridge we are sorry, it must have been a bug that we didn't detect. Conversly, if it was the demon the one that fell, that was supposed to happen because of the puzzle, but it is our fault that it wasn't clearly explained. Thank you for your feedback! We will keep it in mind ^^

the mechanic is really cool and the game looks fantastic, i would change for example, that Caronte dialogues stops you from playing, because when that happens too often, it can get tedious, maybe making the dialogs in a corner and letting you play while you read it, overall, awesome job guys!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for taking the time to play the game! We will absolutely take your feedback into consideration. Cheers!

I enjoyed the ghost mechanic a lot! However the dialog gets kinda annoying, specially considering how slow the text is typed.

Developer

Thank you for trying the game! Some people are refering to the same issue as you did, so we will definitely take it into consideration for other projects, and maybe this one if it goes into further development.Cheers!

The game is on a good path to be very good but it has some problems.

The mechanics are pretty clever and the levels are pretty well put together.

The graphics are also pretty nice, the little cube characters are cool (kinda get some meatboy vibes).

However I really didn't like one thing about the game and it's the dialog. It's not poorly written or anything, it's just that I hate it when you get interrupted every 3 seconds by a character talking to you, especially if it's to say what you have to do (really reminded me of fae on skyward sword telling you the solution to the puzzles). That makes the rhythm of the game frustrating, after each interaction with something you get 4 lines of dialogues to tell you what to do next.

Other than that the rest was pretty solid, hope this can help you improve the game :)

Thank you for your feedback! We will keep it in mind to improve the current game or even avoid the same mistakes in future projects ^^

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, we were a bit worried about people don't understanding how to play the game and we kind of overexplain everything. We'll try to improve that in the future ^^

Really amazing that this was made in 48 hours! The visuals are superb and the mechanic of leaving your body as a spirit is really fun! Great job!

The art and audio are great and the idea is pretty solid, the jump was a bit crazy but good job

I really love the art direction on this game and really enjoy how well polished the mechanics feel!

This game really has a lot going for it despite being a bit rough around the edges, I could definitely see this carrying on into a great full-sized action puzzler experience though! I really hope y'all carry on with this one!

Good job :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much :) This means a lot for us ^^

The art style in this game is so adorable! I love these little demon cubes! <3
The puzzles are fun too!

My one major piece of feedback would be that dying when the timer on your soul runs out feels kind of frustrating - it would be nicer if it just snapped you back into your body, or something along those lines.

Developer(+2)

Thank you for the feedback! We definitely will keep your idea in mind if the game is further developed ^^

Great little game I like the whole spirit concept

Developer

Beautiful and well polished game. The spirit concept is a really clever, and makes for some interesting puzzles. I really liked the style of graphics, it all blends together really well. Great music and sound effects as well. All things gives me sort of a Banjo Kazooie feel, it might be the laugh at the start. Great job!

My only complaint is that the "narrator" text scrolled in to slow. I wish that mouse click completed the current dialog, then skipped on next click, rather than instantly skip.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. We tried to fix the narrator problem but clock was ticking and we didn't had enough time xD

Submitted(+2)

The game is simply beautiful and the concept is really cool. It can be a little annoying to restart from the very beginning of each level but it is very fun to play anyway.

Developer

I'm glad you liked it :D
