interesting concept, but it lacks what it needs to be mechanically interesting. I think if you made it endless that could cause some interesting problems.
Very charming game! Very pick-up-and-play.
I think the challenge could be improved with different shapes, like an L or T shape. Currently, I could just drop down any item in a slot, without having to think ahead much.
Also, I had issues with healing the hero, it seemed that they would still become unhappy when I healed them, since I'd have to drag out a piece of loot (the potion).
Still! The art is adorable and charming, and it was a fun and unique experience!
Playing as an inventory in this game is a unique and enjoyable experience, complemented by beautiful art and a well-designed UI. The concept has great potential for expansion. Good job!
I love that I got to play as an inventory! The art is so pretty and works so well with the theme and concept, clear and quick way to explain the game, and very clear and well designed UI.
I had so much fun, would totally play a full game with this idea and quality of execution. Amazing work!
Creative concept with very charming art to boot.
The RNG could be tough, but the charm kept true.
Good job!
Cool take on the theme. The idea's really fun I just wish you needed to take stuff out of the backpack more. I think it would be really neat if you expanded this and fleshed it out more. The foundation is really good. The art and animation is incredibly charming. Great job!
Interesting concept!
Amazing Game! One of the most creative ideas for a game I've seen so far. It is a bit short right now but I would love to see this concept expanded further as I had a lot of fun playing. Good Job!
Cool idea and nice visuals, would like it if the player requested more items (more of the in-out dynamic), and maybe give some feedback as to when an item will go in the inventory and when it doesn't fit (i got used to it, but it was a bit frustrating at the beginning).
Grid inventories are easily the greatest form of inventories in games, and this game takes the loot Tetris angle of some games to a quite literal endpoint. Loads of potential within this.
Good game! Visuals are top-notch, very cute.
Playing as a loot goblin (literally) trying to help the player progress is pretty original, and funny, especially when the backpack becomes full, and the goblin starts to stress out.
The only complaint I have is that the game is way too short.
This game has so much potential! I really enjoyed playing it and was impressed by the visual art. The graphics and design are stunning and add so much to the overall experience
I think this has potential, but I got quite confused while playing and there was a time I couldn't grad the items (but from what I'm reading here, it's because you need to grab the upper itens like a stack, isn't it?). Cool art tho. Hope you keep working on this project after the jam. Good try :)
Nice game! Has potential as a puzzler I think. Lovely art as well. Good job!
Nice art. Gravity is confusing and just felt like stuff was stuck like maybe a bug, without it being tutorialized. Overall pretty simple though, not a lot to do and a lot of waiting for the hero to do stuff. I was able to make it through the game just making a stack for each item and loot on the right.
very creative idea! there are some inventory-managing games, but I've never seen the game like this
I really enjoyed it, nice entry :)
Short, sweet, simple, and my adventurer made it out with a lot of slime loot!! Yeah, I didn't do that well of organizing but it can make a fun puzzle game with the systems put into place. I can suggest that rotation and some stacking could make things more interesting!! For the stacking, you need to make a row or a column of the same items to make it stack.
Thanks for playing, it's always great to be able to watch someone play your game in real time! Rotation was omitted on purpose, but defs worth revisiting the idea and I'd never even considered the idea of stacking - appreciate the feedback!
(P.S. thanks for pointing out that we had forgot to enable the fullscreen option :p )
Loved the idea, and the art style. It's a bit on the short side, but that's alright for a jam of course. I loved the gravity aspect, and only being able to use the top items - even though this could've been even clearer shown than the top arrows (e.g. showing a placeholder item while dragging, with an arrow from the top down to that item). My biggest complaint was that I could lose simply by having no red potions show up before the hero died. Great job!
Thanks for playing!
Better telegraphing for the drop system was definitely on the cards, just didn't get around to it - spend way too long just getting the system to work at all x_x
The red potion lose condition was also something we were aware of, but I couldn't implement an elegant solution in time so I just upped the spawn rate for potions and hoped nobody would notice! haha
Appreciate the feedback!
I can very much relate. This was also my first jam and there was so much UX that I wish I had gotten around to but I didn't even have my levels planned before the last 2 hours, and I was still unsatisfied with some functionality stuff! Haha, the panic is definitely an experience, but it was fun as well.
You did great for your first jam, love your idea. Certainly a lot better polished than my first attempt!
Very novel concept! I liked the application of gravity, though I wish there was a little more visual indication regarding what was currently locked in place or what panel objects were being placed in. All in all, very cool, and I love the art style!
This game is original, the 2D / Art/Design and D.A Is very cute and fit with the spirit of the game ! It's kinda fun to play but we'd love to have more items or more puzzle issues to figure it out . A little bit harder will be more funny i think so
