This is a 5/5 creation! so innovative and inspiring!
you’re too kind, thank you so much
I need to keep this game in mind. the puzzles so neat and clever
I was hoping you would narrate the whole game Bennett Foddy style, like in Getting Over It :D But the music was great. Very creative mechanic with huge potential. Reminds me of a game I made before a bit. Hope you'll continue. Fun game.
I actually tought about it, would’ve been fun indeed. Thank you so much!
The mechanics are easy to pick up and understand, overall had a good time trying to solve the levels! And the music was very relaxing too. :]
Thank you very much!
Nice job making this on your own ! Cool concept with great puzzle potential, reminds me a little of the world in Braid where time moves as you move. You might want to remove crouching when the jam is over, it's broken (character sinks in the background a bit) and it serves no purpose
I’m a huge fan of Braid, you can’t understand how happy this comment made me.
I really liked the concept very much as it made the game enjoyable! What it needs is a bit more art and some better UI , but all in all Well Done!
Thank you so much! I agree, needs more of its own style, what I came up with feels like a bunch of random assets.
Really good concept, had a lot of fun until I inevitably got stuck. Can definitely see myself playing this as a full game after it gets some more polish. Good luck!
Thank you so much for your kind words!!
Puzzle platformers are always the best. Got stuck at the gradient size increase level. Couldnt get the height to be just right
I love ‘em too! The first gradient is very precise indeed, I should’ve placed an arrow on the correct size to help a bit
Nice guitar ! awesome ^^
Got stuck on the "progress bar, didn't manage to have the platform at right high (one time too high and cant jump on hit, one time too low and cant catch the Key ...)
nice take on the theme, and great Pixel art!
Well done
yeah the first bar level requires some precision, so sorry for not making it clear, I should’ve put a sign on the correct height. Thanks for playing and the kind words!
I got stumped on the level with the windup robot, but I just gotta say I loved your little intro voice over. Solidarity in making unique music for our games this jam!
thank you so much! yeah this robot is messing up the game 😭
I love this mechanic omg reminds me why i love puzzle platformers. The levels were really well designed, always felt like I had to learn a new mechanic, and by the end i felt like I was a pro at it B). The music was such a pleasant surprise too!
thank you so much!
That's such an interesting mechanic, very cool! Couldn't get beyond the level with the robot thingy though
damn robot, so sorry
I really enjoyed the background music. A very good solo dev project.
thank you very much!
Super creative mechanic! Level 3 in particular looked intimidating, but very satisfying when finished. Got stuck at the robot though :( At first I avoided it, it looked dangerous :D But then I rode it, then got stuck? yeah, some hints would be great!
Background music is fire! <3
Thank you so much!! Robot is being a pain for most people unfortunately
Really clever mechanic executed well to create some super engaging puzzles! I think a bit more cohesion in the art style and overall aesthetic would be great but a really cool little demo
I agree, someonelse commented on that, it doesnt make much sense a knight walking in a world with random scalling green blocks. Thanks for playing!!
Fire soundtrack!
thanksss :D
Interesting game mechanics that are actually relatively intuitive and well-suited for the theme. The disclaimer and your own attempt at music is charming although I think it was very gracious of you to put the mute button in lol. The jump sound being a string pluck was cute at first but that was not muted for w/e reason and a bit annoying over time. Wish you had time to put in some more interesting assets for the blocks. I couldn't figure out how to get past the 4th or 5th level but I think if I played around more it'd make sense. Good job!
Thanks for the kind words! The music gets muted but not the SFX for “hurried programing” reasons xD basically music played in a “global” script while sfx was scattered all over the game through different parts of the code, making it hard to mute everything.
Thanks for trying it out and playing all the way to the 5th level tho!!
That makes sense and a pretty common way to go about things. If you look into creating a master mix bus, you can put all the sounds under one fader you can have control over.
Really loved the music disclaimer at the start
thanks xD
Scaling the platforms based on player position is really smart, nice game !
thank you so much!
I didn’t expect the precision platformer. Nice job!
thanks!
I feel your pain regarding background music (this year I didn't even have any sound, lol). If I tried what you did the players ears would be bleeding. Not the case here, it was quite pleasant.
The game itself was also fun, even though I also got stuck at the robot levels. The first one because I didn't realise that that specific bar goes all the way up, because it only goes halfway unless you're back att the door.
The second one I for a while ended up in that frustrating position that I knew what to do, but couldn't execute it with the timing. That one would for me personally have helped to have controller support. Since you're using Godot it should be quite simple: just add controller buttons for the actions in input bindings.
Thank you so much! Yes, the robot levels are frustrating some people, I should’ve made things more clear with some subtle hints I guess.
