Love the style. The concept is interesting, but unfortunately I found the movement a bit clunky.
I've been told the movement was clunky before. I'm sorry that you had to see that. Thanks for playing though.
Super cute looking game! Good job :D -Kaylee
Thank You, Kaylee :).
Hello, I really love the visuals of the game and physics-based mechanics, but the game was, unfortunately, a bit frustrating. It looks like the second weight at the beginning of level 2 was sometimes falling on its own, so when I finally managed to do the first jump, I couldn't continue and had to restart the level.
I'm so sorry about that. I couldn't quite perfect the reset system :(. I hope it wasn't too frustrating though. Thank you for playing.
Very bizarre game in a good way. It almost felt like a dream. Love the artstyle and physics based mechanics. Though there are things I will complain about. I’ll start by saying I got stuck trying to figure out how climbing works for a good while. The restart button being in the menu is a little annoying I would prefer R key more. And it might be my skill issue but I just couldn’t complete level 2 and got stuck at the swinging platform section. I was slipping from those platforms every time I just couldn’t get past that section. All in all good game but the things I mentioned make it a bit frustrating.
The restart button on R is a good idea (if only i could've had it beforehand (T-T))
Wdym you don’t have R key?😅
The first jump was confusing to me, I didn't know it was a physics based game and I kept jumping before the little ball comes :D, but after that it was really fun! The art is cute and I love how there's little stuff around that doesn't add anything to the gameplay, but add a lot to the environment! On laptop the grab wall to climb is a bit finicky to work with. Great game!
Much appreciated :).
Very nice idea! Cute art, cute story concept, and gameplay was fun. I had a bit of trouble getting used to the climbing but once I got the hand of it, it was all good! Also love the climbing sound :)
Thank you. All sfx where made in house.
LMAO Thank god you put that restart button cause i kept falling the first minutes or so ahah once i figured everything it was fun to play ! The visual is very clea, good job !
Much obliged :D.
Flinging yourself using physics is satisfying, but i wish there was checkpoints ><
Sry I should've added more checkpoints :C . But thanks for playing.
That's a good game, I like the art and transitions
Thaank you for playing :)
An interesting puzzle platformer, nice work on designing the professor.
Thxs-a-lot
Overall I really like this game, especially the art style. I also like all the little intractable elements. Those really made the world feel very alive. However, I think the restart button should be a bit more quickly accessible. I did manage to complete all the levels, but i did forget that you can pick stuff up with lmb.
Thxs for playing.
I really love the story and the art style, I think the idea of playing as Professor Ant is incredible.
Unfortunately I suck at platformers and the second jump was already too difficult for me. I would have liked Professor Ant to move a little faster and I think if you land in an area that is a dead end (or a loss) then the restart should either be automatic or faster to access at least. I do love that you took the time to decorate these areas though, it really adds a lot of character to the game!
Sorry about the reset thing it was meant to work as you described but I couldn't double-check to make sure it worked.
Neat idea, and a very cute artstyle! And physics puzzles were pretty clever!
Though, while I understand that it's difficult to UX properly during the gamejam, more tooltips and 'easing' player into more advanced mechanics would help a lot.
Thanks for your consideration. I kinda underestimated UX a little. My bad.
The swinging platforms are evil.
>:)
Cute art work!! i really loved it
Thanks
I was stuck at the first jump a little too long, which is one of the reasons I'm not an ant professor. Cute interpretation of the theme :)
Yeah, the first jump is meant to show the player the limits of their jump for future puzzles. thxs.
Love the little Professor Ant character! The game had some cool physics puzzled that I liked, unfortunately I got stuck at the wall climbing part where after I had fallen down I couldn't use the wall-climbers anymore.
Yeah sry about that. It's rigged so that you have to be walking into a wall before it detects it (at least I'm assuming that's the problem). A mistake on my part :P.
Fun!
I'm glad it entertained you.
CUTE!
Thank you
Nice concept, the character is a little clunky to move though
thxs for the feedback are there any parts you particularly liked or disliked
When you jump, when you touch the ground your horizontal speed reset
yeah youre right i guess it flew over my head while i was making it . My apologies
