Amazing, I had a game idea some time ago with doors and infinite worlds exploration but it didn't work out, so it was nice to see your game. Your approach was really unique and atmosphere was awesome!

I would suggest having some indication where will door lead, like arrows or -x or +y above the door, or something like that. Even tough i got it latter, it was quite stressful to play with time on your head :D
And if possible some indication if that door will lead to green or blue room, i know that there was a minimap, but I felt like there was no time to look a it and then try to figure out where should i go. So, overall my suggestions are just addition of clearer indication which would help players to not feel overwhelmed. But it is just my opinion since I am not that great at these games, other player might not agree with me.

Overall, idea was unique and whole game play was really polished. Good job for a very strong entry!

Thank you for your suggestions! The rooms names are already written over doors, and I figured that would be enough for indicating what room you are about to go into, but I will try color coding the names, that may work out greatly!

More quality of life is planned post jam, thank you for playing!

really chaotic and stressful in a good way! great job :) 10/10 would get a 0 star rating again (I am so bad at this game even though i played for an hour)

Developer

The tasks will get difficult to get right all at once, focus on what you can handle! I am glad you enjoyed it for that long, thank you!

Fun and chaotic game! I love the sound effect, the run and door placing SFX are amazing

Developer (1 edit)

Ive spent a lot of time for the sfx, thank you!

Extremely creative game with a lot of charm! Definitely the sort of thing that takes some time to get used to, but once I was in the zone on it the game was very enjoyable and no less frantic.

Developer

Thank you!

Some of the requirements like the X and the Y positions were hard to understand, but I still had a great time playing the game and running around rooms to do various tasks the game is asking me to do. Great job on the game!

Developer

Yeah, I think if I had named X and Y to Row and Column it would be alot more clear. Definitely doing that post jam, thank you for playing!

Such juicy animations! Kind of difficult to understand though...

Developer

Thank you! It is a bit tasking on the brain yes, but after you realise you are not moving the doors to rooms, but the rooms themselves, it starts to click. So as I have heard though, I hope you enjoyed it regardless!

Really well done style and idea! I feel like I'm too stupid to get it though and the timer is making it hard for me to figure out haha

Developer

Thank you! The time is tuned for that period where you grasp the mechanics rather well and can go a couple of cycles, its supposed to get overwhelming after a while, focus on what you can do! People usually get the hang of the game in a couple attempts, why not try a few more runs?

Love the simplistic yet detailed pixel art visual design on this one. Quite confused on what to do but once I get it, it becomes a tricky puzzle game to complete. The sound design is very interactive on the feedback. Love my man Jeff.

Developer

Jeffrey is usually less gloomy, hes a bit upset right now though because he is on a rather tight schedule. Thank you!

The pixel art is really charming!

Thank you for playing!

Developer

Im glad you enjoyed it!

This game has an awesome aesthetic and I love the idea for it. Although I don't think I was any good at it, and it seems like a very skillful game. I think if there was more a tutorial I would have a better time but otherwise this game is awesome!!

Developer

I figured people would try the games mechanics since its the first things people usually try, but adding at least an indicator to the door rack showing its interactable or a bunch more tiny things like that without too much hand holding could benefit the game. Thank you!

Submitted(+1)

Oh my, I kinda undestand how its working, but still couldn't solve the task. The execution is very good, well done!

Developer(+1)

Yes, the game is a little complicated to figure out, since you gotta learn how you are moving rooms, not doors, but Im sure you can figure it out in a couple of runs!

Thank you for playing!

What a creative idea. I think you should have taught a little more in the beginning so that the goal is better defined, but overall it was interesting. Good job.

Developer

I figured letting the player loose would make them learn for themselves, since pressing A on the door rack, placing it down and picking it back up are all things people usually try first, but I maybe I could have indicated door rack was interactable at least

Thank you!

Very cool game! the idea is very unique and well executed and the art is really nice. I don't really have criticism for this, Good job!

Developer

Thank you!

Impressive ! Great concept and art direction ! Both chaotic and clever. I'm definitely going back to this one

Developer

Im glad you enjoyed it!

The concept is very cool ! I could totally enjoy it but sadly, I am too dumb to succeed in this type of games. It is very well executed though, and eventhough you used assets for the sounds and music, you used them correctly (really like the slowing down of the music when you lose).

Conclusion : very charming but I am dumb.

Developer

It is indeed very tasking on the brain, but most get the hang of it after a couple runs, why not try one more?

Thank you for playing!

Pretty chaotic and fun concept with easy controls, but there is a room-gym combo where you get stuck and a loop.

Developer (2 edits)

If it is related to the navigation, yes, you can detach yourself from the rest of the hotel and get stuck with only 2 rooms, but its not difficult bridging back to the big mass by entering the direction of your choice, grabbing the room you just got out of and carrying it to the side you want to go to, rinse and repeat. You can always reference the map for help!

If its related to the ratings being stuck in a loop and keep increasing/decreasing forever though, I have no clue, i dont think that can even happen since i loop over an array with a limited number of entries while checking it

Do you remember how you produced it and maybe try produce it again? It may be you not grasping the mechanics that well if its the former!

Submitted(+1)

I really like the chaos of running and placing doors around. The art style and music complement it really well. I think it's a super creative idea and connects to the theme in an interesting way. The mechanics and controls were a little confusing at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was pretty fun. Congrats on getting a game submitted!

Developer

Thanks so much! Im glad you enjoyed it!

Very funny game! I enjoyed my time with it and the quirky characters and music (even though if not custom made for it) really add to it

Developer

Thank you! As I have said in another comment, the game idea and the music were suddenly dawned to me after thinking for a couple of minutes, shocking how well they match together
