Nice dude! I’m like the most badass farmer in the world, jumpin over spikes and lava and stuff!

It's pretty basic, but for a first game it's really well made. I've seen a number of games in this jam that were made by people who have experience that I liked a lot less than this one. The premise is clear from the start, you implemented the theme very well and I didn't run into any bugs or glitches. You can really be proud of this, I hope to see more from you in the future. Stay awesome!

Very calming and nice concept! I could see playing this if art was a bit more appealing

Developer

This was a solo project. I had to rush the art to get the game working. I will work on this game later and completly redo the graphics

I really loved playing this game. Such a simple yet fun and well-executed idea! The only advice I would give is that I wish there was more of an indication of how the boxes would grow/shrink, as some grew taller, some grew wider, and I couldn't know which was which without trial and error. But maybe that's something you want to keep in your game, who knows? Great job!!

This works really well, even with simple graphics! The concept is simple but well executed, well done :)

a really cool game .GG!!

Well done on the game. I got 31/50 fertilizer before calling it a day. What would happen while playing the game is that I would lose track of where I had been and as such struggled to find more fertilizer at certain point, spending minutes just wandering around. Its also frustrating that in some sections you had to go in blind. Realise you missed stuff, and had to backtrack. Maybe a fast travel system to explorer places + a minimap would solve these issues.

On a more positive note, you got a pretty good feel on the movement. I liked the look of the game as well, and the music was nice. At some point you also introduced differently shaped scaling object, which were cool, but also a tad confusing, since it looked like it was scaling but moving instead.

Overall well done, it is a neat game, but the open world concept did introduce some challenges that weren't quite resolved in my opinion. Congrats on your first game, hopefully this feedback is of use!

Thank you for the feedback. After the Jam I will work on it.

pretty simple idea and mechanics, but made into a really great game by the amazing level design, nice job! (also nice music)

Treebro! I remember playing this when you tossed a link in discord before voting started. I really like the “open world” vibe, makes me think of Guacamelee!

My Treebrother! You are my goat! Love you

I've read on the discord that it's your first game, that's really amazing! Keep up the great work!

Developer

Thank you!

Really well done platformer! The basic scaling mechanic works really well and lead to some very fun interactions. The movement felt quite easy and seeing the tree become massive gave me a great sense of satisfaction and progression.

Nice idea, it can create some interesting dynamics. One thing is that jumping can feel a bit awkward when you're on the very edge of the platform. It looks like when you're standing on the edge, the character is slipping off.

cute game! the world turned out to be much more labyrinthine and full of secrets than i expected :o

Game runs smoothly, and overall is a nice and simple platformer game with some good level design! Well done! I would like to see more features added in future updates!

I was surprised to see you explored the mechanic a bit and thought of different ways of how to use it! I also enjoyed how the game has some level of exploration. Very well done.

enjoyed it! the character is pretty cute, and though the style is simple i think it works really well here. jumping felt pretty good, just needed a little time to get used to the character stoping instantly when letting go of the buttons mid air.

Didn't enjoy the control.
