I like the sense of humor of the game! And the game has all sorts of cool details, like the shadows that the player casts and the way the head moves to the sides. The controls get some time to get used to them, but I like the idea, and how it fits the overall theme! The art style is also good, and the animals that roam on the screen are also a cool addition.

One quick thought: have you considered letting the player control the swing with the left and right arrow keys?

very fun idea, I love physics based games like this, took me a bit to get the hang of it but when you get that it launches you in the direction your feet are swinging in it’s a fun challenge. I was confused by the controls at first, I thought Z/C for swinging your legs meant like for swinging them left and right, when it only swings one way. I liked the little rat things. well done :)

Developer(+1)

Totally understandable, I see how that could be confusing. Thank you for the feedback!

Neat idea, but I would love an indication as to where I am going to launch myself. Right now it's very confusing!

Developer

Totally fair point, a directional indicator is something I'd like to add. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

It's a nice idea, but the controls seem a bit counterintuitive to me...

Congrats on the submission, especially given your short time :)

Developer

Sorry the controls didn't work well for you, but thank you!

Ragdoll indeed awesome :D

I really like the style and sound design, and the concept is really cool! I did struggle with getting used to the controls so I couldn't get far, but it was still fun, especially to perpetually spin the legs and see how far I could fling dude lol

Developer(+1)

Sorry the controls were too challenging to complete the game but I'm glad you enjoyed what you played! I had planned to add an alternate control scheme if I had had more time in the jam but it didn't pan out, thanks for the feedback!

Really fun game. Was really funny slinging myself off the building at top speed. The achievements you can get, and the clean art and ui really make it feel like a game I could've played on the NES or gameboy. Really cool!

Developer

That's high praise, thank you! I'm glad the retro aesthetic came out nicely in the end as this is the first game jam game I've done where the art was primarily my own. Thanks for playing and collecting the achievements!

I got to the top 🥳🥳 Very fun short game with simple control scheme. Took a sec to get into it but some jumps where you yeet yourself up just feel great. And if you dont pull of a good jump it just looks hilarious. :D

Developer

I'm really happy the comedic nature of the game connected with other people! The difficulty is definitely up there but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This is so, so delightful.  The "simple" controls instantly create so much comedy as I get flung everywhere, immediate difficulty/mastery curve.  If i had one suggestion, it might be to help me visualize where I'm gonna get flung - some kind of arrow, perhaps.  Really nicely done!

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words! Adding more visual indicators is a good idea, and might help people who have trouble visualizing the results of the complex physics. Definitely something I'd consider adding in a future version!

Lots of cool climbing games in this jam, I found it a little hard to figure out which way I was going to swing to but had a great time once I got the hang of it!

Developer(+1)

Happy you were able to get the hang of it!

Submitted(+1)

Lol, this was a very fun Getting Over It-like. Bonus points for the unique interpretation of the jam theme xD

Developer

Thanks Tj! That was definitely part of the inspiration, yeah. Your game also had a super unique take on the theme as well!

Submitted(+1)

Very unique and fun physics! I think it could be really good with some music and more sfx

Developer

Definitely. Music and more sounds definitely would've been something I'd prioritized if I'd had more time. All of the sounds currently in the game I added in the last hour before submission. Thanks for playing!
