Ooooh it can become a very good game if you put time and effort into it after the Jam! I love the hands and the whole creative idea behind it <3

Very interesting take on the theme and you made good game. :)

This is a really awesome idea! I love how polished the game is already! A mini in-game tutorial would have helped me land better, but once I worked out how to play, it's great fun! My best score unfortunately happened to be when I got a similarity score of "NAN", so there may be a couple of bugs to iron out but overall, great game!

Developer

yeah, most of the bugs got fixed within an hour after this gamejam version, but i uploaded it like 2 minutes before the deadline haha

The concept reminds me of that one Futurama episode where Bender keeps commissioning larger and larger statues of himself, except this is much more wholesome! I liked carving, especially after I read that you could charge up the pick to clear a whole chunk, but the resolution of the game is preventing me from seeing or ringing the bell. Do you know if there's something I can do to see it?

Developer(+1)

thank you so much for the comment! and yeah, the idea for the story is that you get requested larger and larger statues, but i didn't have time to actually implement a story, so now you just get 3 different sizes of statues

Ahh, you can move the camera with WASD. the resolution of the game is set, so there shouldnt be a problem seeing it!

I guess I was just blind to that part of the instructions! Thank you for pointing that out.

Really cool demo! I enjoy carving out questionable things!

Really cool concept you got going on, well done!

Its so simple but i love everything in this game. Its relaxing and occasionally funny when you accidently break the entire thing. I could see myself playing this game during breaks as a time killer. Hopefully the dev behind this would create a polish full game because I'd definitely buy this from Steam

Thank you for the praise  <3

Yeah i'm already working on the post jam version, and i definetly want a "zen mode" where you kinda just chop away at statues without any time limit or scoring

This reminds me of old DOS games or something like that. Definitely a nice game! One small nitpick though: In the blueprint, there's a height shown. But I have no idea to how much that relates in the game world! You could maybe add a ruler or something (or something else entirely) to show the scale of the game screen.

Also a funny bug I noticed: If you destroy the first block completely, then the game gives you such a bad score it loops around to giving you an SS rank!

all fair points and thoughts I already have in mind for a post jam version!

yeah, noticed that one last second too. Most of the bugs got fixed within an hour after this gamejam version haha

thank you for the comment and the compliment <3

Love the art style! The most unique game I've seen so far!

Submitted

As was already mentioned, the art style is great, well done! And the game itself was really fun to play, but I got a bit upset that there's time punishment. I wanted to do this slowly and with full immersion XD. Great game!

Unique execution of the theme. It felt good to play and looked great too. Nice work!

I didn't get how to make the bell ring, so i wasn't able to finish te level :(
But anyway - this is a great concept and a very good, not-so-obvious catch on the theme!

Very nice art, sculpting simulator is a rather niche genre so you may be on to a winner here!

Would be very grateful if you tried our game!

Submitted

I didn’t expect to come across a sculpting simulator, but I am pleasantly surprised. The art was great, the concept was novel. I did run into perfromance issues at the start of each level, and it seems I got softlocked at the beginning of the 3rd level.

I loved it ahah, the pixel art is great, great color choice and nice concept!

little tip, add a restart button (if i didn't miss it maybe) because every time i messed up i needed to refresh the page AAAAH im not a patient person but i liked it lol

Developer

Ringing the bell will give you a ranking on your current statue and give you the next order

The idea is that as time goes on, these are going to be requests, and you need to live with your mistakes. and the further you go the more tools and other stuff you unlock to help you out in later stages

Submitted

Ooooh i missed a lot then, yeah i read about the bell but didn't find it at first lol

i'll play a bit more to see what i missed!

The pixelart is so good, reminds me of WarioWare minigames! Great game!

Developer(+1)

That's such a compliment! Thank you so much!

I think that the idea of the game is very good, and the pixelart is also very good!!!
Well done !

(If you want to you can check out our game too)

This is really cool! I managed to finish one but I placed a bunch of supports randomly and got a lower score haha

I like this Idea, keep it going!

I'm terrible at this haha but i think the mechanics are uncommon and have a lot of potential!
