I enjoyed this quite a fair bit. The aesthetic was really interesting and lends itself well to the game. More visual feedback would be nice though. The enemies surrounded me but I could not tell if I was taking damage that well or not. Overall very enjoyable.
Really enjoyed the presentation of the game
Wow my two favourite toys/games :D Great job with this game it was fun
Very good entry, I do love the core idea of your game!
I'll just point out a few things, but first I must say I overall enjoyed playing the game a lot! I would have really love to have a bit more feedback (screenshaaaaaake on explosion for exemple :D ), and also I found the D20 use nice but really hard to use well.
Nonetheless, those points are minor problems, and this is definitely a pretty solid and pleasant entry, congrats to you all!
This is quite a fun game to play! I love the art style and the music and the mechanics feel really smooth and enjoyable to play.!
This was a lot of fun! As a DM myself it was impossible for me not to instantly click this haha. I enjoyed the dice mechanics spawning multiple enemies, just like how I might roll for casual encounters like with goblins or something. I also enjoyed the D20 nuke, although I wish I could launch it while I was shooting more reliably.
I did find that the overall gameplay was quite easy and for a while I thought it was impossible to die. Actually I did find a way to make it impossible to die by clumping up a bunch of enemies and just wiggling in the center of the cluster. I can then place D20s off to the corner and get an arbitrarily high score.
Overall a well executed submission!
Interesting approach to jam's theme, liked it)
The only game where you are not afraid to throw a D20 :D
Got one die stuck on its rib and not spawning enemies, but then, when there was a horde against me this die suddenly unstuck and unleashed 6 more monsters on me :D That was a funny experience)
Neat game, reminded me of Gauntlet. The 3D models for the goblins looked really good, and it was fun to explore the tabletop. Could use some fine-tuning to get the feel right (the d20 bomb in particular felt pretty unresponsive) and I was hoping a big boss monster or something would appear, but otherwise it was pretty cool!
You need a volume slider or a mute button the music was way too loud as a defualt. I enjoyed this game and I'm very appreciateive that the movement worked on controller because it meant I could play the game even with a laptop trackpad.
I spent some time looking for an exit or an objective, and I wish you could knock the dice piles over and fall off the table, but it was a good look of a game that could be really good.
A fun little shooter! Aesthetically it reminds me of wii tanks (this is a compliment even if it doesn't seem like one). I feel that with some changes this could be a more fun fast paced game! maybe even a roguelike or something.
Music's waaaaaay too loud. xD It's a nice idea, but I think it could do with being a bit faster with the movement, and once you've got the hang of it there's not really any progression.
The presentation on this entry was great, overall everything felt polished. The music was good (and is now permanently stuck in my head), the d20 is a powerful tool yet takes some skill to use to its fullest extent, and the world map has little details that make all the difference in establishing the "D&D" style. Overall, it's a well put together game, and it's fun to just run around shooting goblins.
I really liked the board game aesthetic, really worked well with the dice theme. The shooting felt nice and it was a pretty fun game. Some reviews have already said this but I also think the gameplay and especially player movement feels a little too slow. It might also be a bit helpful to have more player feedback and juice, since in the beginning I wasn't sure if I was just missing enemies or I was hitting them.
This was a really cool entry and there's a lot of room to expand on this in the future!
Pretty fun game, the mood is very cool and make the overall expericene very nice, need a bit more touch with the balance
Nice work all! Around 7000 score I used the goblin head glitch to jump out of the map, thought I was super cool -- And then I realized there were doorways I could have taken out of the map anyways. Solid game!
Intresting and the production value is huge for a jam (even though you where many). Don't really see how the theme fits though.
I like the concept! hope you will continue improving the game after the Jam!
I like the idea, i think it would work way better if the movement speed of the player would be way higher, aswell as the enemies movement speed to compensate, bullets also should be faster, and it def could use some extra juice on the shooting and explosions, as they feel a bit week rn, but i think the concept of having a solider commit warcrimes in dnd is pretty good
Awesome concept! Not sure if there was meant to be damage, but I found myself to be invincible. Would love to see more enemies, or other means of progression!
congrats on finishing a game with such a large team! the music is really well done. i would've liked to see more progression, as the game is kind of easy and slow-paced in its current state.
