alright soo
i couldn't jump over any of the gaps in the web version
the widest jump was shorter than the first gap at the beginning
so then i tried out the downloaded version and it worked flawlessly!
i ended up finishing the game, it was really nice.
although the level was a bit short!
the shader effect when you get hurt looked really cool, but it seems like something that wouldn't be that easy to get working. so maybe it was misallocated effort?
i feel like you could've polished the response to getting hurt, by placing the player in some spot that is definitely safe. when i touched a spike i'd get flung upward and land on the spike again lol.
i like the atmosphere that you created with the sound, however i think it would've been nice to hear some music too.
and lastly the art is ok, i really wish there were some cool tiles for the ground, but the important part is that the game is working, and your totally is
not only that, it was even fun!
the different effects were really interesting, especially the flashlight mode, or whatever you might call it.
good job!

Like the idea) There were moments that looked unreal to overcome at first, but managed to get through) (years of playing platformers were put in a good use :D )
If you will be updating this game I would suggest to add some speed to the character, cause it feels like he don't want to go anywhere and you force him to :D But anyway it's cool that you finished your game and submitted the finiahed product - great job!
Hey, I really liked the concept. As others have said the controls/ jump distance could be tweaked to make the game a bit easier. On the flip side, I was weighing up the cost of taking damage and hoping to roll a moon jump so I could have an easier time making it across that large gap. I feel like having that decision was a highlight of the core design for me.
Soloing a game jam is hard, and you did a fantastic job. Well done!
Well done on finishing this! It must have been hard to not have your teammate.
I like that taking damage re-rolls you to an effect. I can see that expanded, the moon gravity was great. It might be tricky, but I can imagine if you had things like moon gravity, shrink, grow you could create a level where your route through it changes depending on what you roll.
Physics and movement could do with some refinement
Nice job
So right out of the gate, I want to say I completed the game, it was engaging. From a gameplay perspective, as others have said I think the controls could use some tweaking (with platformers it is hard, I am in the same boat and need to tweak my controls as well). However, I really liked the idea of changing the effects in play based on whether the player had been hit. I think it is a super cool twist and I enjoyed it, and the challenges/perks it introduced. I also want to say I really really like the checkpoint system. I think the checkpoints worked well, and it was smart to activate them if the player gets stuck on a spike. I also really liked the visual effects you had when the player is respawned on a checkpoint, it was a nice touch.
Regarding the way the game looked, everything was very clear and it was never hard to understand what was going on on screen. It was also super helpful that you provided information on what current gameplay modifiers were active. The game also sounded pretty good, minus one odd transition, but seriously everything that needed a sound had one, and that further helped make the game clear. On the presentation side I really do not have feedback, it was all very well done.
I am very impressed that this was built by one person and congratulate you on a job well done. thank you for sharing, I had fun playing your game.
As other have said, if you have the opportunity to update the game, I think the controls are the main thing to rework. Liked all the different and unexpected effects!
Nice game! I liked the different effects, moon physics was the favorite one. I guess the movement felt slightly slogish, longer level with more velocity could've been quite fun.
I really enjoyed the completion melody, perhaps there could have been something similar for during the game.
Good job!
Simple and fun game with enjoyable platforming. Although I didn't feel like what effect you had impacted the game in a meaningful way. Other than that great game, nice art and good job on finishing!
This game is really really fun I thoroughly enjoyed it, even if it was short.
Nice short game! I really liked the effects and idea, it was a bit confusing at first but then great fun! Good Job!
I liked the idea of changing effects, but I think you should work on movement, it was a bit slow and hard to control. I actually don't have an idea about improving the game itself.
Great work! The platforming did unfortunately feel a bit stiff, but I liked strategically getting hit to change status effects. With more effects and puzzles that could be solved in a few of the different effect modes, I think this could be a really neat fleshed out concept!
Nice game! I like art style and hard gameplay) And also, idea like mine, but in 2D xD Btw, cool work, dude! :D
Wow, liked the game so much actually! (4/3/3) (+1 for linux release :D)
Very interesting take on a platformer. It was a little slow going through the levels and took me a while to understand how effects were driven. Great entry to the jam!
Nice you went for the "brutal platformer" too! Love this kind of games. Obviously it's a bit simple at the moment but there is potential if you keep polishing and expanding on it. I know others already said that, but maybe you could increase a bit the speed of the character movement. Nice entry :)
