That was really good! I enjoyed kicking the die around a lot. I did encounter some funky bugs, all around lvl 4 weirdly enough. On the first playthrough, after going from 3 and picking up the new lasers, for some reason I lost my dash and couldn't use it at all during the first playthrough. The second had the dash-with-a-barrier bug that you seem to already know. The last time it wasn't too bad (I did get dash-bugged again but it's fine) but it seemed to take veeeeeery long for enemies to load in. Like, 15-20 seconds ish. Just had me kinda flowing till they spawned in.

Also, since I lost my dash a bunch, I found out some weird thing where, I think because of how the bump in front of you adds a little momentum to the die, if you bump it on a wall enough times, you actually could use it to launch it and I actually seemed to deal damage with it occaisionally. Obviously it's not ideal (especially against the big boom shooty boys) but just something I found if you wanna mess with it or not.

I'd say for future updates maybe different ship types/upgrades (things like max health, movement speed, dash changes, maybe even different types/amounts of dice) could be really cool and one-up what you have already. Very well done!

Developer

Thank you very much for the detailed feedback! Apologies for all the bugs you encountered. Looks like the barrier power was the true enemy! :P

I thought I coded the logic such that the dice would only enable damage to enemies when dashed into, so I'm surprised that you managed to deal damage without dashing.

I could be mistaken and it only happened once, I couldn't get it to happen again. It was also the same run as the barrier bug so maybe that had smth to do with it.

Incredible game! I had so much fun strategizing what ability ill choose to each number, the abilities felt satisfying, and the whole presentation of the game was great!

Definitely one of the best games in the jam!

Nothing much to say to this one. Probably the best game I played till now

I love this. Super simple controls, great look and feel. Unfortunately buggy - level 2 didn't work for me, either after restarting, first the dice didn't spawn then the enemies didn't either. Also had a big crash after level 1. Such a shame because what little I played was really really good!

I realy enjoy the art style and the creativity.

very interesting concept and idea.

Cool game, really nice polished and has also an amazing gameplay. I like the idea where you can upgrade your dice. Maybe a linux build could be useful for those who don't have always a windows pc.

The concept and presentation were really well implemented... Really amazing game!

it was fun! really well polished :) i kept kicking the dice off the board tho haha

You got the game feel down perfectly! The impact of each hit is extremely satisfying. The controls were a bit tough to get used to, but once I did, the gameplay was very smooth. The upgrade system was fun as well. Good job!

This is a fun game! Overall the amount of polishing you put on to it is insane considering it was only 48H gamejam! Really impressive.... downloaded it and will play it in my break later today again! 10/10 recommend!

I liked the sound and visual effects, it was fun to hit the enemies. But I guess there was a bug because my dice were going out of the area sometimes.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Sorry, the dice flew out of the arena! You can press ESC to restart your current level if it happens.

This game felt so smooth! I really enjoyed playing through it!

Juicy, fun, great audio, insane FX. One of the best game here.

Ideas of improvement : reduce the dash delay & add combo when hitting the dice while still moving fast. GREAT-JOB!

Developer

Oh my god, the combo idea is fantastic

Looks amazing, feels good to hit the enemies, gimmick is fun. Very satisfying to play! Great job!

This is a really polished game! The art and music are nicely implemented and flow well together. There's some balancing issues (heal is very op) but that's to be expected due to it being a jam game. The dash cooldown ended up being more annoying than anything as in this kind of game I want to be able to keep the dice moving around the arena at all times (it stops you from being able to midair combo hit a dice into an enemy and when you try the game feels unresponsive)

Some bugs:

- I knocked the dice out of the arena two different times when dashing into it. First was in the tutorial and second was on the second wave a big guy spawns. Second time I did it I noticed I was pretty close to the edge of the arena and I dashed the dice towards it.

I ran into a crash when trying to assign the second chain lightning to a slot (Variable Index [6] out of range [6]) Happened when assigning to both 1 and 6 pip sides and didnt try the others.

Developer

Hi! Thanks for playing, glad that you enjoyed it! Apologies for all the issues you encountered. Thank you for helping to identify them! I will try to fix them once the voting period ends :D

Wow! This game is unbelievably juicy! Seriously, full marks on presentation here. The power-ups feel immensely satisfying to use, too! Chain lightning is my favorite. I don't have much to offer in terms of feedback, except that it might be useful to have some key you can hold to stop moving in order to orient yourself momentarily. Fantastic work!

Really cool original game with fun, action-packed gameplay!  The VFX and SFX really make it something special! Kicking the die in the correct direction was a bit hard for me, but I think I just need to get good, haha. Great job!

It is really cool! The sound design and the graphics look very cool! The gameplay is also very good. The only suggestion would be to make the game possibly a little faster in sensitivity! Great game!

BEST OF LUCK:)

Beautifully made! This better get more votes than it has now. Original gameplay, Top-notch visuals & sound design (even though you didn't make it yourself, it is put together really nicely). Well done!

Visually, one of the most impressive looking games in the entire jam. Sound design is one of the most impressive in the entire jam. As for gameplay, the rocket league vibes are amazing. It's one of those difficult to learn, difficult to master, endlessly satisfying experiences. I loved it and I'll probably try to get better at it. Great job!
