Did not expect this to work as well as it did. Switching between seeking out and dodging rerolls was really dynamic and fun. The driving felt great and the effects going on outside the map were trippy and cool.

Perhaps some kind of nitro charged by hitting rerolls would encourage players to hit them even if they're a high number / give players that keep getting unlucky and having to reroll a chance to catch up? That might suck in execution though lol haha.

Great work.

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it. :D Some kind of boost mechanic sounds great, will definitely research something like this!

i really enjoey it. i like how it is balanced because in front you have so many dices. Great job!

Thank you for playing! :D

Surprisingly fun. It has the mario kart feeling of hoping a good roll to make sure you get far.  And the simple design of having to dodge more if you are in first then in the back, having a built in difficulty curve/catch up mechanic is amazing. I do think that better steering would allow you to keep your roll for a longer time if you are skilled in driving. Currently there is little time to enjoy your high rolls. Also the level select really shouldn't be random, as I went from white to blue back to white, which was a bummer.

Developer

Thanks so much for checking it out! Currently, all the obstacles are randomly generated, sometimes you can get long streaks where you can keep high rolls, sometimes not. I suppose it fits the random jam theme in this way. As far as map selection goes, it was only a last second implementation to give some visual variety, will definitely make some kind of level selection screen later on!

Dang, phenomenal game.

I'd be impressed even if this wasn't a jam project, but the fact it was made in 48 hours? Mind-boggling.

Developer

Thanks for playing! So glad you like it!

This is simply amazing! I can't believe you turned the idea of rolling dice into a racing game and it came out this good. the game visuals are wonderful! great job.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! And thanks for the praise! :D

Clean and satisfaying presentation of an amazing game that intertwines with the dice theme smoothly and cohesively. Great experience I had with your game. I hope to see Speedline one day on Steam :) Kudos to WushyLubedLegs and Slustica  for this high quality work.

Thanks so much for playing and thanks for the incredible praise! We plan on developing this idea further. :D

Great game! So sad when you accidentally hit a re-roll when you already have a 6 and wind up with a 1 :'(

Developer

Thank you for playing! And yes, I feel your pain. :D

Especially right before the finish line. :'''(

I love this. Took me immediately to a spiral around all the racing arcade games like wipeout, re-volt etc.

Nice choice of music. Fun mechanics while not being too easy and still rewarding. And finally the visuals which are lovely x) Twisting of the map and all the details.

Good job!
PS: The countdown is brilliant!

Thanks for playing! And thanks for the kind words! :D

Wow I am extremely impressed by what you made here! The visuals are simply amazing, the game cleverly balances itself out using the dice rolls and the fact that you're faster when you have a good roll makes it harder to avoid dice again. It's just really clever design throughout the game system. Nothing not to like here :)

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! :D

It's incredible how you make the dice mechanic actually work with the game and have it benefiting from it as a re-balancing mechanic. The visuals are really impressive and overall cohesive looking. Great game - not just as a jam game but generally polished!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and thanks for the kind comment! :D

This must be the most natural rubber band catch-up mechanic I've ever seen in a racing game. Super clever and definitely my favorite out of the games I played so far.

Developer

Thank you for checking it out! The catch up stuff was purely incidental, the game just balances itself out somehow. Some races are chaotic, some are slow, fast... Depends on the roll of the dice! :D

Submitted(+1)

Well done! The idea is great, the game is genuinely fun to play, with good visuals and a great soundtrack! I like the little touches like the triangles appearing more often when you get higher speeds.

Thanks for playing!

Such a fun and creative concept! The presentation is just amazing and the game just feels great to play... Nice work!

Fantastic! I love this concept! It's so interesting how the laws of probability turn the re rolls from power ups to obstacles depending on your current number.

If you have anything below 3, you want to grab a re roll as soon as possible but thanks to your speed, it takes longer to reach it. 5 or 6, you're avoiding them at breakneck speed, hoping you don't pick one up and wind up with a low number. At 4, you aren't exactly sure, there's a 50% you end up with something worse then what you have, and going any faster might make it harder to avoid the pick ups. The way that works in this game is so interesting!

Really great job! The graphics, SFX, and music were top notch too!

Developer

Thanks for checking it out and leaving this glowing review! This was totally the intended experience! :D

Yes so far thats the best game ive played from this jam. I love such kind of neon graphics and the racing gameplay was unique and very fun. I wonder if its possible to make the start a bit "faster". It can take a while until you get to roll as the ai grabs everything.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you like the style. The start definitely needs upgrading as well as the AI bots, but there was only so much we could make during the jam!

Submitted(+1)

This was so much fun to play! Only point of criticism is that it get's a bit repetitive after a few levels, but other than that this is very well done

Developer

Thank you for playing! The plan is to add more variety later with more interesting visuals. :D

This game is simply amazing. Definitely one of the best racing games I have ever played complete with outstanding graphics. It is a shame I can't rate presentation 6 stars, really. VERY well done!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! We hope to bring this presentation to mobile devices too!

Very impressive! The countdown being the dice on your vehicle is pure genius.

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing!
