Really cool and original idea! I especially like the style you came up with, and I love the graphics. Very simple to understand but harder than it looks to master.
Thanks for the nice feedback!
awesome game! I wanted to keep playing after I won and all in all it was quite fun.
Thanks a lot!
This is really awesome! the art style is unique and creative, the controls are fairly intuitive once you understand what you are supposed to be doing, but most of all this is just a really interesting and cool idea for a puzzle (strategy?) game. There's a surprising number of little interactions and strategies you can learn from playing a few times (Like leading the priests into you to kill multiple or stranding yourself from being careless).
You could definitely build off this into a finished game if you could come up with a few more interesting mechanics that you could spread over multiple levels. Great job!
Thanks a lot for your detailed comment! We are currently working on a post-jam version and intend to add a few more levels in which we would like to introduce different transformations (with different mechanics)!
The idea of being an actual curse is quite original. Took me awhile to figure out the controls and what to do in general. The art is charming and music fits the visuals. However, the skull got really annoying really fast, it feels like he never stays quiet for more than 4 seconds. Overall a fun little game!!
Thanks for playing! Yeah, maybe the voice over would have needed a bit more balancing, sorry about that!
Very cool idea, I loved the sound and art, especially the sounds, great submission!
Thanks a lot!
Very cool entry! It took me a sec to get the controls but was super fun once I did. I really like the dynamic of turning people into werewolves and then having to get away from them before they kill me. The art work set the tone really well. Originally I thought the townsperson would die if I stayed on them too long but I think you can just chill on someone as long as you want? Maybe having the people spontaneously combust after having the curse linger too long would add some extra urgency? Awesome job on the submission!
Thanks a lot for playing! At the moment, you're right, there is no urge to change of the person you are possessing but you're idea is really cool! We might add something similar in a post-jam version!
Really love the look and feel and the sounds. Could use a little more hand holding but it was fun :)
Thanks for the nice comment! Indeed it is still a bit tricky to get the hang of at the beginning!
We may work on that in a post-jam version!
Cool idea of becoming the curse itself and moving around to infect other people. Great art, music, and voice acting too!
The controls and movement were a little difficult to understand but I was able to at least get 6/6 once to clear a stage.
Thanks for the nice comments!
We may publish a post -jam version to polish up the rough edges in the future (among which clarify the controls).
An awesome interpretation, a neat style, a funny narrator, and a fun gameplay loop.
Well done!
Thanks a lot for playing!
Unique concept and great use of the theme and the visuals were also very nice, great work!
Thanks a lot!
I really enjoyed this. Great aesthetics and interesting idea. I think some work could be done on how smooth the user interaction feels, but otherwise very cool
Thanks for playing! Indeed, we may work on a post-jam version to smooth things up.
Great game!! The art style as others have mentioned is next level. I love the cut-out style and the way villagers bump into each other!! The visualization of the curse and the targeted victim is really well done + dialogue UI and audio are really high quality to match. Great entry!!
Thanks a lot for the nice comments! The art (both visual and audio) took us a lot of time and efforts so we're very happy to hear you enjoyed!
This is a clean 5/5 from me - amazing graphics, great sounds and music, simple and accessible controls, clever and engaging mechanics, original gameplay, perfectly sticking with theme and overall just great fun!
Epic first jam entry if you ask me :)
Thanks a lot for the nice comments!
Great art! I'm glad I got to play your game. Super creative use of the theme and a very fun core mechanic. Simple controls with lots of room for strategy.
Glad you enjoyed! Thank you for playing!
Amazing looking game. Also fun to play - I like the wiggly pointy finger. Tried to play fast and loose to begin with and got nowhere but managed to win by playing patiently (and also got to hear more of the great voice-lines).
Would be nice if we could subtly influence the villagers before turning them. Sometimes I got stuck waiting in the corner for a villager to walk back towards the exorcists/other villagers.
R.I.P. Beatrice's dad.
Thanks a lot for playing! Indeed, it is sometimes frustrating to be stuck in a villager without any options
One idea we had to give the player more mobility was to enable the ability to possess corpses and transform them in zombies!
But we did not have time to implement it. Maybe in a future post-jam version!
OK. So the HTML games only play in Chrome based browsers. Clever mechanics. Took me a while, but I did get a victory. Nicely done.
Thanks for playing and thanks for the heads up concerning the HTML version. We used Godot 4 (that's maybe why?).
What a fun game! The mechanics are simple, yet the game can be quite the challenge at time. And all that with just two buttons! Nice work, people!
Thank's a lot for playing!
Super fun, I liked the way that the villagers were both a resource and a challenge (after turning them). Very well done. Also wanted to mention, I love the art.
Thanks a lot!
