Game Description
"El Cerdito Encebado" is a traditional game that consists of catching a little pig dipped in oil or butter, and whoever manages to catch it takes it home. But in this game you will be the little pig and you must avoid getting caught at all costs in order to earn your freedom.

How does your game tie into the theme?
The game is based on the customs, festivals and traditional games of my country. Music and art are representations of traditional Chilean festivals. And the mechanics are a variation of "Cerdito Cebado", a game that consists of catching a little pig.

First off, the aesthetic of this game is just awesome. Really captures the local folklore vibe, and the controls and mechanics are great aswell. Sound design is lovely, great work!

You got me, I had to keep playing until I freed the pig.  It was fun, and tough at moments but the art, music and animations were great, it has a lot of charm. Good use of the folklore them as well.

I really enjoyed this game! The music and the pixel art is great. My only critique is that I find it a bit too hard to get the key by making the people bump into each other.

Incredible game ! I loved it, the only thing that I would say : get the key is quite hard but it's a really good game, challenging :)

The presentation is really cool and felt very polished! The gameplay is a bit hard for me, all my pigs were sacrificed XD

Very fun game.

Looks great, nice transitions and smooth animations, the way you control the pig is unique and feels good, I wish the first level was a bit easier tho as getting people to hit eachoher is a bit hard for me but thats the only complaint, good sfx and music aswell !

Such a cute and fun little game - well done! I appreciated the theme and liked the Chilean music a lot. It was fun to run around, but I thought the pacing could have been quicker as it was pretty easy to out run the person at first.

A super cute little game! I like the animation of the characters running around. I like the increased difficulty of the characters and the change in layout. The concept was interesting and the mechanic of key mashing to free yourself was engaging. The music feels fitting and the sound effects hilarious. All in all great work!

The aesthetics of the game are really good, clearly you know what you're doing! I'd love to know what your setup for the pixel-perfect look is - I've played around with subviewports but never really got it right in Godot 4 :/

Anyways, this game just oozes charm, the gameplay is intuitive and fun, and there's a ton of polish. The leaderboard is a cool feature as well! Great job!!

Hey! The pixel perfect thing is a big topic haha, but basically in this case since the camera is static I solved it by placing the entire game inside a subviewport (which in turn is inside a subviewport container), and the UI outside the subviewport using a high resolution. Already in the subviewport I only activated the transparency and changed the filter to nearest. I didn't use pixel snap because I felt the movement was less fluid, but well that will depend on the project I guess. Thanks for your comment, you can talk to me on discord if you want to know more about pixel perfect topic :D

Wow, amazing game.  It's so fun! And so orginal as well. It kinda feels a bit unfair when they curve the trajectory of their tackle mid-air, which could be easily negated by adding a bit of invincibility frames when sprinting (it could be explained by the oil/butter making it easier to escape their grasps). But other than that, wonderful work. And the aesthetics of the game is aslo great, the transitions are awesome. Excellent game.

Pretty fun! I felt that getting caught was a bit too punishing, I had a hard time escaping when I got grabbed. Love that you can make the people bash in to each other, and great pixel arts!

Nice work!

It's really polished and really fun to play!

Really cool game concept, I've found it quite difficult to make the npcs hit themselves tho, but it's one of my favorites so far!

Congrats and good luck!
