Game Description
Take care of this plant and make it last. Someday, it will die too.

How does your game tie into the theme?
Even if we take care of something with all our heart, someday it will die. I wanted to recreate this false sensation of control for the first weeks of the game, only for the player to see how. even if he tried his best, the plant would die.

Thought I was the only one who had the idea of plants in my game. Super nice graphics and the message really touched me🥺.

Nice game! I liked the art style and music a lot.

Good message, doesn't mean I have to accept it! If I never press the accept death button I never lose! HAHAHAHA. :-(  This is really nice though I like it a lot.

I love the message of this game! The music and the art fit the vibe very well, and though the gameplay is a bit repetitive, it feels like a nice look into the mundane tasks in life that we care about, and how they affect us. Good work!

Great calming and relaxing atmosphere in the game! It was sad to see the plant die after 24 weeks. Would have liked to see other options in the game like maybe opening the window for sunlight. Great job on the game!

The atmosphere of this game is really relaxing and it feels good!

My first plant died after 7 weeks, while my second made it to 25 weeks. The summer heat got the better of her!

I wish there were more accessories after a certain point, but considering the time we had to produce our games, I consider this idea very promising!

Thank you!!! At first I had light and temperature management, but due to the production times I had to let those go. Thanks for the comments and for playing the game :)

The atmosphere is quite good and I like the idea. I find it difficult to grip the jug, but at some point I realised that you have to grab it from the front or something. Sometimes you have to wait a long time for objects to move back again. I managed 9 weeks on my first attempt and 20 weeks on my second. Unfortunately there is only the option to water the plant. You could have done so much more, such as repotting, new soil, changing the light conditions, changing the water hardness, fertiliser. The concept is simple, but it has potential. Unfortunately, too little content for me.

At first I had light and temperature management, but I had to let those go (I am a solo developer with fulltime job and wouldn't have finished the game on time otherwise). But thanks for playing it and for your comment!!!

Loved the game, didnt really understand the controls in the beggining(probably bc i always watered it), but still, great game.

Thank you very much!!!

I love the theme and message of this game, it's a beautiful story. Also, I thought my plant was gone for good, but then something weird happened!

Jokes aside, this was a great experience. I loved it :)

Developer(+1)

Should I report that as a bug? hahahahah

Thanks for the comments!!!

Love the message, art style. The music is incredibly relaxing. Did you all compose all of the music? Are any of the instruments real or are they samples?

Feedback:

The controls were a bit difficult.

  • Sometimes I would click to drag and it would not register the click.
  • Single clicking to select an object would be nice!
  • It would be nice to not have to take the moister meter automatically remove itself if I click on the watering can.
  • It wasn't super clear that the can couldn't be used twice in a day.

Overall, wonderful job and very relaxing! Great job!

Hey Britt! I'm Chaz Cisneros, the composer on @NanaGameDev's project. The instruments are samples with extensive tweaking of filters, sidechains, mixing and manipulation of the MIDI to get it as real as possible. I'm glad you found it relaxing!

That's wonderful! Yes, very relaxing for sure!

Developer

Hi there!!! The music was composed by Chaz Cisneros :)

Thank you very much for your appreciation and your improvement comments, I'd love to improve the controls in the future <3

I was just watering it every day. Then little flower buddy's appeared and I was very happy. Then I didn't water it for one day. The flower buds, gone. I almost cried.

I loved this one, great job!

Developer

hahaha thanks!!!

That's a cute little game, I didn't notice the other tool till around the 20th week, I was just watering it based on seasons, and it lived up to the 27th week.

Would have liked to see more variation, other plants, etc, but I think the scope works for a jam.

Congrats on the submission!

Developer(+1)

wow, that's a fine intuition for watering the plant! hehe

Thanks for the feedback. I would have loved to add more things to the game (actually in the beginning it had temperature and light management), but the scope was limited. Thanks again!!

Felicidades!

Cute and chill little game, I think I dragged and lost the hygrometer at some point in between weeks so it was hard to gauge how much water the plant needed. The soundtrack was really nice as well and fitting the simple yet charming graphics. Good job on this project! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! I am aware of that bug and I'll try to fix it :) I'm glad you liked it!!

Somehow lost my moisture meter at around week 8, so I was just going on faith until I lost at week 23. Surprisingly emotional for such a simple game, I really got attached to the plant.

Thanks for the comment!!! I'm glad you liked it :)

Cozy vibes! I wish I could've saved the plant though :(
