I would have loved to rate this game, however I tried restarting the browser version several times, and the 2 enemies never attack, so I was never able to fire a single shot pressing the mouse. By the sound of the comments you have a pretty solid game going on. Hope you'll get to iron out some of those bugs mentioned - I'll check back in then. But for what it is worth, I did like the audio, visuals and bits of controls I managed to test.

Cool game. I like how you had to destroy each piece of the enemy, was a unique mechanic!

The first time I launched the game the camera was flipped upside down?? I was like “Why is my left/right backwards??” Not sure how that happened, but funny lol.

Bits I had trouble with:

- mouse sensitivity is too low for me, with no option to modify

- too much clicking (RSI inflammation)

But I saw someone else streaming, and I like the idea of wall-running at least

Developer(+1)

there is a in-game menu (tab) and a settings menu on main screen which allows for mouse sensitivity adjustment (vikfro also did that on-stream)

as for the clicking part - we should have allowed holding the button down for continually firing!

thanks for playing

Nice game! It had a good implementation and nice ambience sounds. If I may add a note, I had to focus a bit too much on aiming to be able to fully appreciate the entire experience, so maybe it would be nice to add some aim assist, making bigger hitboxes, or an autofire which allows for more efficient  pixel erasure?

I played in the browser on older hardware and it ran well. Great job with that optimization. A lot of times 3D games don't run well in the browser for me. The controls felt great and wall running, very nice job with that. The enemies being sprites where you erase away their pixels and being at war with the sprites was clever. Great entry!

What a nice smooth gameplay. Even wall running! Nice touch adding a storyline :) Great submission!

Nice work! Fun integration of the story, nice touch. The pixels slowly rising through the ground was very intimidating as well. Could be fun to have tighter maps to keep the intensity up. I found the double jump only on the rise a little difficult to get used to but I could probably clear most of the map otherwise in a single bound so probably for the best.

Fun  stuff! Great stylization~!

Given the feedback from you on my game, I thought this was going to be a longer game and had more thematic elements than "Erase the enemy". given that your game is about erasing the enemy's pixels I would suggest an Autofire, given how fast you shoot already. Another thing is that the hit boxes for my bullets and the enemies aren't very forgiving meaning most of the game was spent aiming than platforming or exploring the levels.
That being said visually it's a nice game and I love to see more from it. My biggest take away would be to make the game involve more Erasing mechanics rather than just framing "do damage" as "erasure"

hey there! I write critique points to help ppl evolve their game post-jam. I did not and do not claim that I do a better job in the critiqued aspects. the review is completely independent from my own game.

i feel like there could be a misunderstanding, so just to be clear: I gave your game a very good rating and you are absolutely on theme.

I thought the pixels were gonna kill me on contact but they just pushed me off the edge XD

One of the few games that kept me glued to the screen for a while! Great atmosphere, perfect music and good idea. No performance problem on web export, it runs @144 fps on my mac.

The enemies in pixels are very hard to hit! Nice submission!

Spawning on the first level upside down with invertcontrole was a surprise XD i discovered that you have no lock on the camera movement i was flustered at first. I'm not good at aiming so i didn't manage to go far but the wall running was well done. I also like how you need to explore to find the ennemy

Really enjoyed the game! Got a little tedious with the clicking of each pixel on the enemy, but I was very impressed with the wallrunning and the overall idea behind the "3D supersoldier for 2D army".
