Description
A prog rock/jazz fusion inspired theme for a junkyard stage. Specifically one with various electronics whether damaged beyond repair or easily fixable!
I took the light and dark aspect of the theme and interpreted it in various ways, including the use of alternating "bright and dark" lead instruments, and using chord alterations in a similar manner every other measure for varying brightness and darkness.
In terms of the level, the idea of finding perfectly good electronics in a junkyard also gives me the idea of light piercing the dark, a diamond in the rough!
The lo-fi effect and retro instruments were inspired by the junkyard direction I took. I had fun just experimenting without much pressure and working with a 7/8 time signature. Really enjoyed the concept of this jam!

7/8 Time signature is a really cool thing to experiment with! Overall, what a creative entry and a funky one at that!
The glitchy opening also got me checking my audio :D the combination of an uncommon time signature with the glitchy sounds may be a bit too much if you don't expect it. In my case I stopped listening to the music and started listening to what was going on, which briefly pulled me out of the experience. Not a bad thing per se, but something to keep in mind.
Other than that little nitpick, cool track :D definitely taking the theme to a different direction compared to most others I've listened to so far. Good stuff!
Yeah I actually removed some glitchy sections before the final version because I thought it might have been a little too much lol. Thanks!
Hey, I like the chilliness of your post! (This is the only publication that made me feel relaxed)
Thanks!
Really love the sound and feeling of this track! Feels retro in a nice way! I could listen to this a lot :)
Thanks!
Seriously love how the rhythm emerges from that intro. One of those tracks that tastes better the longer you chew it.
Thanks!
Loving the instrumentation for this. Really catchy motif, and swingy, laid back and energetic vibes all around. That tremolo at the end hit hard! Cool work!
Thank you!
everyone's mentioning the 7/8 time signature but i have to as well i fear... composition on funky time signatures is difficult, and you've done very well! i'm loving the jazzy chord progression and could def groove to this! great work!!!!
Thank you! I had a great time working on the progression so I'm glad you liked it!
7/8ths is a lot of fun!
Nice work. Definitely captures the right vibe.
Thank you!
This was very fun to listen to, love me some 7/8 i loved that little plucky synth in the background that popped up occasionally to do arpeggios, it gave it some fun extra character to the offbeat fun sound you already had going, and i think it matches well with that lil theme you gave with it! Very fun :>
Thank you!
Vibe is on point, really chill and groovy! Some of the sounds feel like they are from the Soundcanvas module (especially the bright square synth lead), really great blend of sounds.
Thanks! Yep, that lead is from Soundcanvas!
Unpredictable interesting track) 7/8 fit very well, great work!
Thanks!
I thought my player was lagging, you got me at the beginning, pretty unique rythm, pretty fun listen. I enjoyed.
Lol my brother listened and thought his Bluetooth connection was messed up at the start too. Thanks!
I always love the use of unusual time signatures and combined with that glichiness, it makes the track really unique. Great work!
Thanks!
Really funky! I like the glitchiness, and pairs well with the unique harmonic approach. It's cool to listen in and hear different effects on each synth. Not to far from cyberpunk comes to mind actually, lovely vibe!
Thanks!
The 7/8 time signature really compliments the glitchy style as it feels like the song itself is glitching without forcing you to make the glitching noises happen all the time which is great!
Thanks! Yeah I just wanted to sprinkle the glitchiness in at a few moments.
Love the glitchyness and groove! I feel like it would be nice to take a bath in comically blue water listening to this music, idk if that makes sense?
This is a lot fun to listen to, great work!
Thanks! Yeah ngl I can kinda picture that lol.
