  • WOW, what a fantastic game. Got to say that I loved so many things about this game, but the hero is obviously the ShotGuana! This is an incredible interpretation of the theme with execellent execution. The movement feels very well polished, and the fighting is complex whilst also maintaining a level of familiarity to games from the past. The artwork for the game is really well created, the finer details are all there! The music gives the fights a great level of anticipation for each next move! The GDD is thorough and very well laid out, the additonal use of graphics and inspiration really helped me get an instant understanding for your game. Your team have done incredibly, be very proud for what you have produced.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes!

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
YEAH!

Summarise your game!
A short RPG where a trucker and his dear friend (An iguana with a shotgun for a head) make a couple stops on a long dusty highway.

Move around with ARROWS or WASD, and press SPACE/E to do stuff and use your moves (In combat)

The game acts like a classic monster battler, except you control the monster in real time, moving around on a grid while the 'trainers' shout commands over your head.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The player plays as a shotgun monster in a monster-collecting-game world, monsters in these worlds are often used as the weapons. Used to settle altercations and break stuff, instead of resorting to physically attacking each other.

Looks and feels super polished, but I had a hard time making it past the first real enemy. Nice job!

Wow, this was made in two weeks? Short? And using love? What's not to... Love... ;) For a two week long jam yeah ok bud! There was so much! Pokemon, megaman battlenetork, shotgun, and trucker game. Y'all freaking cooked! Great art and music. Doing all the actions were just cool man.

GG great great entry!

I have not finished playing the demo yet, however, wow, I am floored by the amount of content I've seen so far. Playing it, I was impressed with how well it was made, making me think, "It must be short" or "It must end here" multiple times while playing. Yet, there continues to be new characters with cool new creature designs and more unique fighting moves to learn about. Absolutely fantastic job, well done. I would love to support a full release for a project like this.

Did not expect Megaman Battle Network from the title haha

Incredibly impressive for a 2 week game jam, this game feels done already. Polished to an absolute shine.

Hat's off, amazing work!

It's hard and very interresting to play. I love how the theme was implemented. The art is amazing too.

The game is insane,i really like the type of combat and love the details in the map.

This is such a good interpretation of the theme. I love the art direction, and dialogue. The idea of mokepon is very funny. My only criticism is that balancing aiming attacks and dodging attack is really hard while also trying to read dialogue and see what attack I’m supposed to do. I still think this is one of the best games i’ve played this jam!

Great game! The art direction and presentation is stellar. The battle system is unique and engaging and all the fights are charming and enjoyable. Really impressive work for a 2 week jam. Good work!

OMG! Crazy that the game delivers a fun and polished Battle Network style combat with tons of art and dialog! My favorite submission so far. Amazing work.

I didn't think it was so hard to be a Pokemon - I feel bad for making them do defense moves over and over now LOL. Great game and visuals! Wish I was better at combat to see the full game...! Great game!

Wow this is such a vibe, what a fun idea to be the pokemon instead of the trainer! Incredible down to earth setting with so many juicy details. I think my only issue was that sometimes in battle, the trucker would get stuck in a loop of talking about how amazing our defenses were, all the while our defenses were getting massacred and I can do nothing to attack. But… I criticize because I love the game so much. This is an absolutely amazing game, incredibly well polished. You guys should be hecka proud.

Wow the art is awesome - I love the color scheme you chose! The game is super polished and I think the mechanics are well implemented and easy to understand - that way, the battles are challenging without being frustrating. I also dig the writing. Great job!

love the active combat system. could use a bit more feedback on where the attacks going to come from. The red lines were sometimes not as noticeable when moving around fast. Apart from that, i really enjoyed how active it was and really captured the essence of being the monster
