I think walking could have been a bit faster and I was rather confused at multiple times on what I was meant to do. Really cool atmosphere. The props and general level layout feel "full" in a good way. Sound design was nice too; I liked the humming fridge a lot for some reason.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback and the huge compliment! I'm glad you like what we came up with to fill the world!

Maybe I,'m just stupid,  but this game was quite boring, and the painfully slow speed of movement plus almost invisible ground and walls with the flashlight were a large part of that. It made finding the various clues difficult, and the lack of indication for when to zoom or not made my playthroug  unnecessarily annoying. Walking up and down and up and down and around and back up before realizing I needed to zoom in while walking around to confirm that there was no boat-despite being able to see the lack of boat light clearly without zooming- completely killed any enthusiasm I initially had.

Atmosphere and sound design was good, but the gameplay and lack of scares/tension ruined it unfortunately.

Thank you for your feedback!

If any consolation, I got stuck at the patrol  bit as well. without clues of what to do.

Yeah, that was a bit weird. I could see the boat light the first time without needing to zoom, so I got stuck there for a couple minutes until I realized you had to  hold the zoom on it to confirm. Then it happened again for even longer later when you had to not only zoom, but walk around while zooming to confirm the lack of a boat light. Felt completely unnecessary.

And I couldn't even see most of the clues in the lighthouse. Whatever made the character freak out in the bathroom was totally invisible to me as the flashlight didn't light up the wall at all. I don't even know if something was on the wall/mirror It was very selective with which materials it would actually light up. I liked the visuals and atmosphere,  but the bugs and annoying zooming stuff, plus the slow movement and lack of scares unfortunately made it not worthwhile to me.

I love the psx graphics. I watched a gameplay vid because it wasn't clear what to do sometimes.

Developer

Thanks for checking out the game and the feedback! Sorry for the confusion!

I really likd the walking sim game as I've made the same ! I liked your game art style more! Really superb work

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! Don't put your own game down, we're all part of one walking sim fleet :D

Me love a good traditional atmospheric scary walking horror game. Pristine graphics. Just thought the movement could be faster (or less stairs...) and perhaps the final cutscene a bit more intimidating. Also perhaps the real evil were the stairs we walked along the way. Awesome job on this, really impressive to put it all together in a week.

Developer

Thank you so much! We're glad you liked the game...and yes...the stairs. My secret inspiration was a medieval watchtower which is a pain to walk up and down.

The only critique I have is I felt the movement was a little slow but other than that this was a great little horror game.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Maybe the lighthousekeeper was indeed too relaxed...

Great job at delivering an old school horror game! The torch scenes had me nervous and the atmosphere was tense. I had no idea what was going to happen :) Great work!

Thank you so much! We're glad you liked it!

Super sick game! Visuals are awesome and really add to the experience. Sometimes I got a little confused as to what to do, but the vibe was really cool.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked the flavor of the experience!

Love the atmosphere, however after the lamp broke, I could not figure out how to continue.

Developer

Thanks for checking out our game! When the lamp breaks you probably went downstairs and tried to repair it, right? Take a moment and watch the sea first, there might be something out there in the dark.

I really like the atmosphere. The PS vibes are great. Sadly i also got stuck a little bit sometimes. Maybe an indicator would be nice if you still need to do stuff upstairs or downstares. Like if you want to go down but still have to do stuff it says something like. "Maybe I should check the light first". But really great game.

Developer

Thank you very much for the feedback! We hear you! Sorry for leaving you hanging there, the character did have a lot of inner dialogue but at times apparently not enough. Also the stairs were the true enemy all along...

I like the chill atmosphere, however I was confused on what to do though

Fantastic game, love the visual style you have here, the only real problem I had was the rmb zoom being a bit too slow so I missed one of the prompts in the first day. Love it otherwise though, great audio!

Developer

Thanks for playing, and thank you for the feedback! Your game rocks!

Excellent aethestic and audio design. The soundscape make it very immersive. It's a bit confusing some part and I get a bit lost, but all great

Developer

Thanks for playing, and thanks for the feedback!

Cool Vibe. got stuck tho didn't know what to do after the lamp broke

Developer

Thanks for checking out our game. You probably tried to repair the broken lamp immediately. You might want to go outside and watch the sea first...

Beautiful. Aestetics, sounds - a top notch work.
The only problem is that at some point it leaves you in the dark about your next steps (i had the same problem as stealthnachosgames)

Developer

Thanks for checking our game out and thanks for the feedback!

you did a great job on the atmosphere for this! i got to a point where i had interacted with everything and couldn't figure out how to progress. it said to fill out a log but i couldn't interact with the book beside the radio. there was nothing to see out on the water after it told me to zoom in. maybe i was doing something wrong but just wanted to let you know how it was!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback! Yes, you are supposed to watch the sea...and walk and watch it some more. Sorry there was feedback lacking.

Submitted(+2)

i managed to finish it, turns out i just had to hold zoom for a bit longer. i really enjoyed the rest of it, great atmosphere!

Developer(+1)

Ah, this is great news! Thanks for giving the Lighthouse another go! Hope it delivered :D
