I've finally played your game, title buddy! and I have to say that the aesthetics and gameplay intrigued me a lot, but I got stuck on the mushroom puzzle.

Submitted

Hmm... I think I need more hints.

Submitted

Very well done art style. I think I just accidentally figured out how to do the first puzzle. Second puzzle was very difficulty. Great job on the game!

Submitted

Really promising idea, specially on the puzzle and aesthetic aspects. Really needs sound, though.

Submitted

Great puzzle concept, also love the 1bit artwork and esoteric vibes. Solved the first puzzle, didn't manage the second. Very much enjoyed playing though.

Submitted

Good job, your game turned out to be pretty interesting, idea with monochromatic visuals looks unusual and instantly catches the eye. Now, that jam has ended, you can keep on adding more puzzles, to make the game even better!

Submitted

The second puzzle is really engaging and hard. I spend like 10 minutes trying to figure out the puzzle. At first i was confused on what i have to do. But eventually it occurs to me on what you want me to do, although it was still not really clear how to make it possible.

After trial and error, and getting this to the "right" place (no spoiler lol). Then it was very very satisfying. Really cool concept! Too bad it doesn't have any audio or music :(

Developer

Glad to hear!

The second puzzle is definitely on the harder side. I sure pulled my hair out designing it. Probably wouldn't put that early in a full game!

I had plans for audio, music, and ambience. Unfortunately ran out of time and opted to focus instead on polishing the puzzles and visuals.

The style is unique, and the gameplay is very innovative and outstanding; after completing the game, I look forward to more content.

Developer

Thanks, Doge!

Amazing puzzle  game! I loved the mushroom puzzle! needs sound to be a perfect 10 but great starting point.

Developer

Yep. Would have loved to add music and audio. But alas, time is a lost sock.

Submitted

A really good game, i loved the idea. The second puzzle gave my brain a workout, but i finally did it XD. Great job!

Kind words, Kireth. Thanks!

Submitted

Very unique and  satisfying puzzle, presented a nice challenge and would sink my teeth into more.  My graphics card crashed my machine while playing and still I had to restart in order to work out the last puzzle. Fantastic!

Developer

Thanks, Eldritch! Glad you enjoyed the puzzle. I pulled my hair out designing the solution for it. Lots of moving pieces.

Submitted

I love it! Best game I've played in the jam so far. Haven't figured out the second puzzle yet but I really want to go back and try to finish it.

Love the rendering style too! How did you do this? Is it a post-process shader?

Developer

Thanks Vizaxo! Yes it is a dithering shader applied to a viewport.

looking forward to playing yours tonight!

Submitted

Nice! I'll have to give that a go. One of my goals this jam was to write a shader in Godot but I didn't get around to it in the end. Hope you enjoy!

The art is so cool, and the puzzle was interesting to solve (at first I thought sextant is 3x3, probably some frames around items would help). Good job!

Developer

that’s a great idea. Thanks mora!

Great puzzle game, really cool visuals too!

Submitted

i loved the puzzle mechanic! first time i've played something like this! the visuals were awesome too!

Developer(+1)

Thanks Goncalo! I really enjoyed your interactive film project! Cozy, funny, and weird!

Submitted

Haven't solved the puzzle, but really liked how unique the game looks. No idea how your team made this dithering effect. There are probably some hints that I missed, as two stars on a spyglass.

Submitted

I liked the puzzle aspect a lot. I didn't get that last puzzle, but I was sooooo close I could taste it, unfortunately had to move on to other games. Very intriguing puzzles though. nice submission!

Submitted

That was very cool. It was very satisfying to solve the final puzzle

Developer

Glad to hear! That puzzle took forever to design. Every time I thought I had designed a meaningful solution, more logical problems cropped up, or the third trader would be come skippable.

Super cool puzzle with the growing mushrooms and awesome art! Is there no sound? Otherwise this still very cool.

Developer

Thanks Palin!

No sound. I had some plans for creepy ambience, music, and nonverbal vocal sounds for the traders. Unfortunately I ran out of time.!

I really liked the monochrone 1-bit shader and the puzzles were very fun!

Developer

I'm happy you liked it.

The dithering effect was a nice shortcut to making 3d look nice and it fit the aesthetic we were going for.
