Game's Take on the Theme
The game uses a spinning wheel to determine how items are used against opponents. Pretty much everything in this game spins to some degree. haha

Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
Yes, Music is royalty free however (it is in the credits)

If not, please link to any asset packs or resources used here.

This was actually insane, one of my favorites so far! There's so many subtle UI details and sounds that add so much to the overall feel of every single action. My only complaint is that it felt way too random in the beginning when I still didn't have any unlocks. Maybe I just got unlucky and couldn't unlock the right stuff, but I think this might be because there's an overabundance of items that might be a bit too specific for certain builds. I feel like having more common items that allowed to rearrange the distribution of the quadrants would make the earlygame feel a lot better. Once I unlocked stuff like the paper weight and the skill that gives you more quadrants the game really started to hook me in!

Amazing work, really hope more people see this game!

Developer

oh wow thank you so much! Yeah, the game needs lots of balancing and better items 100%. I have been working on coming up with better designs and an overall better experience for the game and concept. Thank you so much for the helpful feedback!!! I hope that future iterations of the game will be a much more fun and engaging experience! Haha. :)

Aww only windows? Why are all the interesting game are only windows. Was following the game on discord. Disappointed that I cannot play it.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, sorry about that. haha. I don't have a mac / linux and due to some limitations with the text rendering framework used in it, I couldn't make an HTML build. :(
I am planning to do a massive overhaul on the game anyway, so when I get a new demo ready I would like to have a mac/linux and windows build for it (though i'll have to get some friends to help me with that. haha).

Sorry you couldn't play it! :(

It's very fun, the bosses are funny and it's very original :)

Developer

Thank you so much! :D

This was great! The visuals are fantastic

Developer

Thanks!! :D I've always liked the 'baba is you' style of art. haha. Plus that style has quick turnaround so you can focus on other gameplay / mechanics aspects instead of spending too much time working on art. haha. Not the best but it does its job. :P

extremely juicy & polished. i took the double or nothing and lost twice xP

amazing work

Developer

Thank you so much for taking some time to play it! Yeah the mechanics need some major overhauls before the double or nothing is more worth the challenge. haha.

Very polished feel to this one. Felt very satisfying to play. The only issue I can kind of see is the items, while interesting, didn't feel worth playing over a normal attack so I didn't end up using many of them. But the idea is very cool and with some more time and development this could be a really good game :D

Developer

wow thanks so much! Yeah, I plan to do a pretty massive overhaul on the items / gameplay after the jam is over. Haha. Thanks so much again! :D

Amazing work! I love the unique art style, the ui is perfect, the sfx are top-notch, the music is catchy, I'm really digging the buff system! I honestly can't believe how polished it feels.

Also i stacked my hp to the point i can't see it anymore lol.

Overall a really great game, i can see myself playing it in my free time!

Developer(+1)

Wow thank you so much!! Yeah the HP is a little bugged, its cause the 'lines' that separate the circular bar are too big for the amount of segments there is. haha. Need to fix that for sure! haha.

Thanks so much for taking some time out of your day to play it and give me some feedback!! :D

"Just one more Spin!!" this game was an addiction lol, perfect implementation of the Spin mechanic really fun to play and engaging to have the player hooked! very good <3

Developer

Wow thank you so much!! :D I appreciate you taking some time to play it!!

Really nice art, the game feel reminds me of Balatro!

I’m stuck though haha. Boss’s health kept growing and I have no way of dealing damage. image.png Got to round 14 though, think good enough:)

I feel like some of the cards didn’t have much use, but saw in another comment that you want to redesign some of it.

Overall really nice game, surprised that you did it yourself too!

Edit: Oh and the settings was really nice too!

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

Dang! Yeah that can happen. At that point basically the run is over. Haha. Yeah, I need to definitely do some redesigns on a number of the items, as there are too many useless or just not good enough items. I've got a good amount of changes I'm working through currently, so hopefully the next iteration will be more fun! :)

Thank you for taking some time to play through it and give me feedback!! :D

Looking forward to checking out spin overload!

I really love this presentation. The music and visuals are super well done and create an awesome vibe. Really cool take on the theme!

Developer (1 edit)

thank you so much!!! :D

Also death of a dungslinger looks so wacky and fun! Haha. Can't wait to check it out!

Wow!  this game is super sleek.  I really love the visuals and the audio design for all of the interactables in the game!  And I really appreciate attention to detail on making such an inuitive control scheme.

Very nice work!

Developer

Wow thank you so much! That means so much! :D The controls could use a few more things here and there, but it works mostly how I think it should. haha. Thanks!!

Well made game. Some more bg music would fit perfectly tho

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, most definitely. I would probably like each boss to have their own music / theme, just didn't have time to focus on it for this jam. haha. Mostly definitely though! Thank you so much for giving it a moment of your time to play it!! :D

Submitted(+1)

Very clean polished game. Feels balatro inspired but is unique enough to feel interesting. If i had to nitpick I'd say some of the items feels like a bit of a waste especially when they take one of your precious slots. Overall great job and feels like a strong contender!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Wow thanks so much! Yeah, I have a decent sized 'purge' list of items I need to re-design or completely get rid of for sure! Thanks so much for taking some time to check it out!! :D
Can't wait to check out battle tops!

I've commented before the voting period started and even after it's still a banger. It's casual, it's simple, easy to understand and very entertaining. I can stay playing this game for endless hours because of how replayable this game is. To me this game is perfect! 100/10

Developer(+1)

Aw thank you so much!!! I had a blast with Catsino! Roguelite/likes are just such a fun genre. haha.
Thank you so much!! :D

This is my favourite submission right now, after tested approximatly 40 games. Intuitive, polished, fun to play, fun to win (and loose!), well balanced mechanics. Definitly gonna be in my top 10 at the end of the week !

Developer

Thank you so much! That means a ton!!! :D
Can't wait to check yalls out in a bit!! :)))

First impression: This game feels incredibly polished! The animations, visuals, and music are top-tier! The core idea is great—at times, it felt like the odds were in my favor, but I still had a blast playing. Definitely one of the highest-quality games in this jam—I’m glad I spent my time on it! Huge respect to the dev!

Developer(+1)

Wow thanks so much!! :D Yeah, the wheel has a slight bias to the player towards the earlier encounters of bosses. I plan to mitigate that in the future with just a better selection of items and buffs, but for the jam It was way too hard and ran out of time to really craft the items better. haha.
Thanks again so much! Can't wait to check out Deep and Deeper!!

Submitted(+1)

Love this one! I definitely feel like the odds may be skewed in my favour, and there were some times where I didn't fully understand what was going on. But it is all explained when you hover over it. Cool game with creative use of the theme.

Developer

Thanks so much! Yeah I may need to do a bit more pacing with the item activations, since you can sometimes get like 4 things to trigger all at the same time, but I may make that as some kind of 'option' since once you kind of know the effects, its a bit slow to wait for them all to trigger one by one (I originally had that, but changed it. haha).
Definitely something I will keep in mind should I develop it out more! :D
And yes, the wheel favors the player for the first few encounters of each boss, but tapers off. I think I will redesign this aspect with just overall better item selection / buffs in the future. haha.
Thanks so much for taking some time to play it! :D I really appreciate it!!

I'm ready to check out Delirium too! :D

Submitted(+1)

Wow. Feels very polished and full of replayability!

Saw parts of this project during development and it turned out really good. Like REALLY good. I'm saving this to play later for sure.

Great job and keep it up!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!! :D it definately has some issues in terms of balancing, and to your other point also the AI. It was my first time developing "card game ai" and in the end the bosses just arent super challenging strategically, but more random. I think nailing out the AI would feel more "boss rush-y" but I totally agree. :)

Anywho, thanks so much for taking some time to check it out!! :D I can wait to play revolving chambers!

Submitted(+1)

Maybe think about showing the boss' intent every spin. I think it would involve more strategy that way!

Developer(+1)

Absolutely! Yeah, I'm going to be moving the bosses moves to well before the spin so you can strategize a bit better as well. haha.

Submitted(+1)

I think you've got something really special going on here. The vibes are immaculate, and I am amazed at how great the UI feels to interact with, which is so important in games like these. Great job and I gotta say I will be checking out your other stuff as well.

Developer

Wow! That is so kind of you!! Haha. I generally enjoy doing UI stuff, so I'm glad it felt good. Still room for improvement but I think it's going the right direction. Haha. :)

Can't wait to play orbital decay! It's one of the first on my list today! :)
