I was able to beat this game. it is well polished overall and was a good experience. Definitely held back back the control scheme, have parry as a main mechanic bound to the c key meant the left hand needs to special coordination to move and parry.
I did notice that a lot of games don't play as intended if anything is mapped to right click on webgl since it does strange things, so maybe it would be difficult to resolve but would be great if you find a nicer way to make it work.
The art is brilliant, all the feedback is there, nice and juicy. The monkey's idle is a little stiff though, may need some squash and stretch, just a little to add to the feel.

I would never in a million years have expected that the monkey game would have by FAR the most satisfying hack and slash combat of the jam, and honestly just from any game jam game I've played in my 3 or so years doing jams. I'm actually stunned by how fluid and impactful the combat feels.
Pretty good. I like the bosses move set and design although I am more into Pixley art styles
I absolutely loved the camera work, the movement, the hitstop, the vfx, the bosses, the dash. Every action you can do as the player felt good to do, and everything complemented each other so well. The tutorial was really well designed and the bosses were all well-telegraphed. I think the theme could have been incorporated into the game a bit more but I was really sad when it ended because I wanted to keep messing around with all of the movement options. An absolute blast.
Daaaamn, this is an incredibly high-quality project! The animations, moveset, camera work, and effects—all executed at a top-tier level! It's rare to see this kind of polish in a game jam, and it's clear that a ton of effort went into it. Absolutely amazing work!
Cute art style! The combat feels nice and the animations are great. But like Arstotzk said there's a bug where the character animation freezes and the attack effect keeps triggering, the bug usually triggers when doing the final combo attack on the boss. Overall a really fun game, well done!
Good game! the combat is awesome. has a nice control and nice visual feedback. Really well done!
Amazing game. Sekiro but monkey :D The combat is cool, I liked that all attacks can be parried and even a web ball. Perhaps I had some kind of bug, but some attacks seemed to multiply, this happened both before and after the stager. Such an attack could remove half of the boss’s health, looked like a regular attack, the character animation froze and the attack effect appeared 20-30 times.
How funny the final banana combo is !! I really enjoyed this game so far, juicy combos, good bosses behavior, straight forward and comprehensive level design, I will replay for sure !!
Pretty cool game, you play as monke and kill monke guardians with a big banana, good art, well designed bosses, and nice music, great job!
Great game! I really liked how satisfying the heavy attacks are and the executions. The boss behavior was also very enjoyable as well, and when you get the hang of parrying and dodging their attacks it’s pretty fun! Good job on the game.
