Love this game! Feels really polished to me, and the art and sounds are awesome! had to get used to it for a second but once I did it got better!

(PS: If you're willing to I'd love it if you could rate and give me some feedback on my game! I'd really love to see where I can improve for the future!)

I absolutely love this aesthetic. Not to take away from your actual gameplay, but your UI is impeccable. It does more than just convey information, it matches the energy of the game perfectly. Your game makes me miss my Dreamcast.

Love the artstyle of this one, it's probably the best art in the whole jam. The music is amazing, it fits the vibes the game is going for and it has that DJ feel. The UI is easy to read, doesn't take up much space in the screen, the 3D art is really cool and the 2D art is awesome, love the combat based around the beats and making moves, sadly my up arrow key doesn't work and I had to work with the mouse wheel, which isn't as precise as the arrow keys should be, but I also like that you can unlock attacks and to perform those attacks you need to make some moves in that order, that's really cool.

Gotta say it, pretty underrated gem.

Not having webgl probably held this one back quite a bit.

I just love it ! Well done for the submission, really solid.

I really like the concept! Using dance moves to fight is a great concept! the game on unreal looks well-polished as well! Good job!

Amazing entry! How does this not have more ratings! This is just a full ass game right here. I love unlocking the new moves and comboing them is easy to do and easy to see when it happens vs when you mess it up. Awesome work! Cool use of spin and the theme of the game fits well with the mechanics

It's a good game, with a 90's pop music feel, and a good balance of 2D and 3D graphics.

My computer is a bit slow, so it's a bit laggy, but it feels like a game from the PlayStation 1 era.

Thank you for making this game for me to play.

Hi There!

I saw your comment under someone's game and come here to rate yours. ;)

Very good game with very good graphics! Keep it up! I'm a born retrohead, I like vinyl stuff! :D

If you have time, please take a look at my project and rate it too.

I would really appreciate it!

Have a nice day / evening!

I liked the aesthetics of 90's. I see you will continue developing this game after the game jam, so let give it some criticism. Sometimes character doesn't attack when i press the buttons, maybe there was a cooldown i haven't noticed.  There is a need for more dodging abilities like dash or flips. Also there is no music during boss fight, it's necessary for the game like that, maybe dubstep or hip-hop. Good luck in developing.

Developer

HI, thanks for the feedback! We do tend to update this game a bit in the future so we'll this in mind when fixing things. There are dodge abilities when using the Space Bar though not sure about the no boss music playing. We have themes set for each boss so maybe there was some sort of bug that happened which we're sorry to hear. Thanks for letting us know however!

I really liked the concept is very creative, specially using scroll-wheel to spin the disc and attack, .it took me alittle  time to figure it out. The visuals and music  are excellent. Keep up

Only thing there is delay sometimes not sure if its my device or not

Funny game! The controls feel a bit unusual at first, but you get used to them. It’s really cool to see this mix of fighting and rhythm mechanics. The design is stylish, and the music hits hard. And that joke about "just sit around"... Let’s just skip that topic 😆

Great style, good job!

I found the keyboard input to be much better than scrolling the mouse wheel, it is very accurate and allows you to hold the combo waiting for the perfect moment to release the prepared attack (not sure if that was intended though).

It took me some time to get used to the controls, but after that the game turned from hip-hop battle into a high-speed slasher ¦3

Naomi bugged for me just standing and talking over the phone all the time, but probably that made me happier.

I love the UI in battle and the idea here is cool, just felt some slow attacks inputs and slow text speed.
Well done!!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, we're glad to hear it! There is actually a setting to increase the text speed in the Settings menu so that can help solve that issue.

Came here cuz koca told me to

Pretty fun, interesting visual style and idea for using arrow keys to input certain moves for combat. I do feel like it makes it a bit awkward sice you have so much time between attacks. Otherwise pretty polished game, can see yall put a lot of work in it!

Very interesting concept, is a cool idea that makes it feel like a demo for a bigger game with charming characters doing multiple different and unique scenarios.

The combat is in the middle of "easy to understand, hard to master" and "nice first steps of something bigger" with a unique combo idea that needed more variety (because I ended spamming moves not knowing when they will activate) and a little bit more of response because some attacks felt delayed or "floaty",with a slippery movement that feels disconnected to the attack moves.

Visually amazing with the low poly cel-shaded + street art aesthetic, with very appropriate sounds and jamming music that give that old 6th gen game kinda vibe.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We do feel that the game could use some refinement to make doing disc combos much more nicer to perform and eventually plan on mending some of these issues down the line on top of adding some new abilities to use (a lot of our ideas ended up on the cutting room floor LOL). Glad you enjoy the visuals too, we're especially proud on that and love that 6th gen aesthetic!
