Really cool and unique gameplay! I like how fast paced it is! The boss is really creppy, those twitches he makes is a nice detail!

An Ordinary Business Lunch's itch.io pageGame's Take on the Theme
A lunch themed boss rush using a Lazy Susan as the main game space. All mechanics revolve around manipulating and spinning the Lazy Susan strategically.
Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
No. The only aspect of the art that we worked on was the boss and his animations. We didn't have the time or manpower to do much of the 3D Modelling aside from the table itself.

really cool art style on this one and a great take on the them for the jam! this one is definitely worth giving a play through!
Loved your take on the spin linked to a shared element between the Player and the Bosses. At least for me, it created this ahá moment when forcing the boss to make them eat something rotten at high points of the business lunches.
My only issue was that sometimes was hard to see the icons over the foods and trying to know what were their modifiers.
Overall, a super nice entry. Great Job!
Sorry about the webgl issue, the game runs fine, I like the overal graphics and aesthetics, even in title screen we use the roulette, well made. I rate graphics, music, control, fun the most, all is great really, also, if you have some time, please, rate my game too, thanks!!!
I wasn’t expecting this, I really went into it, well done, I love the concept and it’s super cool!
I’m sorry for the problems you had with your webgl build :c
Really unique and amazing game! anything but ordinary, the game feels really nice to play and visuals look so good!
(PS: If you're willing to I'd love it if you can rate and leave some feedback on my game! This is my first ever jam and I'd love to see where I can improve for the future!)
It's a very simple yet very fun game. Gives me buckshot roulette vibes. Like the unique implementation of the theme into the game and the strategy element of slamming the table at the right moment to have the boss eat the rotten food and managing energy. I personally think that it's easy to forget you can throw plates, I only get reminded because the boss starts yeeting theirs at me, so I retaliate, I am more focused on the dishes and trying to give him the rotten food and me the delicious ones.
Thanks a lot for playing! This is really interesting feedback, because we were honestly worried that the opposite would happen where players would rely too much on plates and not slam bad food on the boss at all. This is just another thing that we'll be taking very deeply into consideration when balancing the game as we expand it. Much appreciated
Everything except an ordinary game ! Nice job you did on it. Would love to see it as a part of bigger game.
Hello! I had a lot of fun playing Your Soul Is Mine, and the secret maxed-out boss was an awesome touch to test my skills at business lunch etiquette. Props to the cheeky writing and solid gameplay mechanics!
I loved this entry. The art is amazing, and the story written and delivered perfectly. The difficulty was just about right for me. It took a couple tries for me to beat the final level, but it wasn't frustrating. All the music, sound effects and visually effects are really well done. The combination of emails and dialogue to convey the storyline worked quite well. I couldn't figure out what the ??? plate was for, since it just seemed to make my screen go black, but I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Awesome entry!
The premise is hilarious and well executed. The controls are snappy and really accentuate the feverish pace. Super well done.
Super imaginative! loved the game, amazing use of the spin mechanic, I was hoping that we had lunch with different individuals each time lol but considering the time we had you did an amazing job, this game could be a commercial game for sure, hope you guys keep working on it! Very Good!
This game is so much fun! Controls are so responsive that any mistake is entirely the player's fault. Visually, very easy on the eyes, and I really appreciate the highlighting of the plates when they are in front of you. Perfect implementation of the theme as well. I managed to beat the game with minimal changing of the turn direction and just pressing W/S at the right times, but I can see that someone with quicker reflexes or a speed runner would be utilizing A and D more.
I did not know this was proper business lunch etiquette, gotta be throwing some plates in restaurants next time! Well done and congrats on a game well made!
Easily the best use of the theme I've seen in the 100+ games I've tried so far. I loved the PaRappa styled animation for the boss. I loved the tone from the text and the music and the lighting and color palette.
My only critique is that the fights felt like they could go a bit long with any mistakes. I had a few rounds that felt like a war of attrition that was based on the enemy making a lucky mistake rather than rewarding me for effective play/not making mistakes.
This was truly amazing! The theme was fully utilized, and the game stands out with its unique gameplay. I managed to beat all the phases, and it was incredible to be on the edge of death. You're healing, the boss is healing—everything is super dynamic. In the end, it all feels so alive and thrilling!
The mechanic is definitely unique, I'm sure I've never seen a combat system like this. The game has lots of character and I love the art, especially when he's pointing the gun at you. It's fun to juggle all of the mechanics. I think that you could improve the battles by making them tend to be shorter rather than longer (by increasing damage or decreasing max hp) since the final one felt like a stalemate for the longest time. But apart from that, great game!
This game was so unique and fun. The boss design on this game was so good and in addition the idea of mechanics was so clean and exciting . nice work
