How does your game fit the theme?
Other than the character names, everything is calm and business-as-usual at the Gobblin' cafe before our hero learns that the health inspector, Stormy, is coming!

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes.

Amazing game. the minigames are fun, work really well, story is cute, visuals are great. Reminds me of the critic from Ratatouille. Love it!

Developer

Thank you very much! Very kind :)

Lol i love your game, love the cute little green Goblin and how you have multiple mini tasks through out the game as the customers are coming. Excellent concept and graphics, good job guys !

nice art, funky music, but I got stuck at the spacebar minigame

Submitted(+1)

This was really fun to play! The art is great, I liked the music, and I especially love the wall-cleaning mechanic. Nice work!

That's a really cool game idea!

The graphics are reallly cute, except the inspector who is rightfully terrifying.

The tap minigame is a bit confusing, because when you spam it doesn't register, kinda unsure what's the proper way of doing it.

Developer

Much thanks!! haha

Yes, I want to add some things to clarify that mini-game in particular after the voting period ends.  Was a big fan of your game as well; I hope it ends up in one of the top spots :)

Submitted

Thanks! Hopefully both of us can get there. This is one of my BGJ favourites so far.

Such a nice pixel art and cool music! Fun mini-games =) Great job!

Very nice game! I liked the graphics and sounds. Minigames during Stormy's arrival are fascinating. The only thing I didn't really like was the game with the spacebar, I couldn't get through it for a long time.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! ^-^ Yeah, that's the one game I really want to overhaul after the voting period. I want to add a timer and a little fill-bar so you know how much you have to/don't have to spam space.

Submitted

A very cute game! I love the music! And you can really feel the adrenaline rush at the start of the timer ^^

A flaw I noticed with the sponge mini-game is that the character moves at the same time as the sponge. Other than that it's very polished and the characters are endearing :)

Developer

Thanks! ^-^ And yeah, I initially left that as-is to allow the player to complete games while moving to other games, but with the sponge one, it probably makes more sense to stop your movement.

everything was in place and nicely done!
loved the minigames and the reference to the game jam was top notch haha!
enjoyed it a lot!
i think it would have been better if the instruction of keyboard buttons were in-game instead of on the games itch io page though...
but i loved everything else about it, it was a simple game but pretty nicely polished!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! That's very kind. Yes, I agree. I would have liked to set up the buttons (and some other mini-game visuals) in-game beforehand.

A great little story! The minigames were pretty fun - I recognise the lack of an indicator for the button mashing one was due to the deadline, so that's fine. Although, at one point, I did clearly miss the green section in the timing minigame and still get a tick; might be something to look into?

Sprites and dialogue were lovely, too! All in all, good job.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, poor excuse, but I'll be sure to prioritize a little better next time ^-^ And thanks for letting me know; it's easy enough to make that timing game more accurate.

I like this one, especially the art style, it's astounding and memorable, also the gameplay is pretty nice. Keep it up. Now it's ur turn to try & rate us. Thank u

Developer(+1)

Wow, thanks! ^-^ And sure thing. I'll give it a go as soon as I have the time.

I liked the skill checks on each table, but the speed button mashing on the front desk, I don't like it so much.

Overall though I think you did a nice job on this game!

Developer

Yeah, that one really bit me in the pants, haha. Definitely going to add a fill bar once the voting period ends.

This game is next-level! The combination of smooth mechanics and stunning visuals makes it a real standout.

Developer

You're too kind. Thank you!!

Good job, I really felt the pressure :D

Developer

Thanks!

Really enjoyed the art and music. The minigames were entertaining, though some of them were a little tough to get right. "Are you a cop?" cracked me up. Great work! Congrats and good luck!!
