Well done. Fun to play and looks/sounds amazing
Very nicely done. Had a blast playing your game.
top notch stuff <3 i really enjoyed this one!
It's amazing how complete this game is! Nice that there are different enemy types, and the lighting, music and sound effects make it very atmospheric :D
What a cool game, and so finished-looking. Had a little trouble until I realized I could just hold down the left mouse button, that was a game changer. Excellent array of enemy types and powerups. I was only able to play the browser version, so that may have caused some issues, but the camera/crosshairs movement was laggy. It also seemed like the hitboxes on the enemy were smaller than I expected and I kept missing when I aimed above the chest. But really, a fun and addictive game, congratulations!
Thank you for your feedback.
In fact, you're absolutely right! I double checked and the collider is a little smaller than the model.
Thanks for pointing that out, I'll make a correction once the jam ends. How did you see that? You tried to have a "headshots only" run? :)
haha apparently my instinct was to aim for the head, I wasn't trying for anything special and am not a trained sniper assassin, I swear
Very sharp looking game! The variety of enemies and how you have to deal with them is really cool, as well as the upgrades. My laptop had a bit of slowdown. Might be interesting to see how it runs in an exe as well.
One strange bug I ran into is at the beginning when says "Click to Start", sometimes after the game loads, the direction that the player fires is different than the crosshair position, but if I leave my mouse absolutely still after clicking to start, it's usually pretty centered.
Thanks for playing and for your feedback.
The issue you're pointing one is one I had too, while testing Web version. I though that it was solved... I'll have to check how to find a solution after the jam.
My pc is bad I play the game on 2fps :D
sorry to hear that. I’ll try to add some options about rendering, if I get this game to another stage
You. Are. A. Maniac. The fact that you pulled that off alone is crazy to me. I mean, of course you used premade Assets but even that fact doesn't change how cool your game is.
It was fun and challenging at the same time and those little Thiefs gave me a nightmare with their left-to-right movement. Really well done. The Boss was also cool!
I don't know if that's intended but the Wizards (when they explode) everything around them dies? At least that happened a few times. Also the Wizard smoke explosion doesn't fit the style of the game. But that's just really, really minor issues I've seen. :)
I also would've wished for different Power-Ups or even a Shop where you can buy upgrades (more arrow etc) but die to the lack of time during a GameJam that's just a wish. :)
Really, well done man. You had good gameplay, a cool Menu, even an intro.
Thank you for trying my game and for your feedback. It means a lot to me!
In fact the Wizards can drop randomly a bomb, which explode when you fire at it (if you had an extra shot at the wizard, then it blows the bomb). The wizards' ability is to resurrect fallen fellows, if you let them enough time to cast their spell.
True: the explosion VFX is awful: I admit :) . I'm not good at art and hadn't time enough to find a good asset or tutorial...
I liked the idea a lot and the mechanics worked pretty well, I think you did a nice job on it!
Well done! Nice premise and set up. Great job with the different enemies and power ups.
Really nice job on your game! The different enemies were fun, and the power ups added just the right amount of balance to sometimes equalize the odds but still provide ample challenge. I did find that there were certain angles where if the zombie is right on top of you at the front, the shots didn't register as hitting them. Well done on putting all of this together!
so fun! the graphics were super nice. the zombie/skeleton sound effects make me gag (aka they are the perfect sound)
Very cool shooter, I like the undead invasion vibe of your game :)
Very fun and beautiful game. You put together something here that worked smashingly together and I really enjoyed fighting off the skeletons. I'm not very good at it, but I liked doing it LOL
This was super fun. Also kinda good balanced. It is never too easy and in the end you need to have a good aim, when the first boss arrives and be smart about which enemy to shoot.
Good job!
Awesome game, I played this one on my youtube and gave my thoughts and feedback if you want to check it out. I really liked it
Thank you very much for the highlight! Also, thank you very much for the great suggestions!
Reminds me of old arcade games where you stood behind a plastic gun and kept shooting with a little bit of Plants VS Zombies thrown in for good measure. The placement of the camera and the main guy made it hard to know if something was chewing on me, but otherwise, pretty solid.
really nice and fun to play. I was successful in get the boss down. I hope there will be more after the jam to explore on this. the possibilities are nearly endless.
As it is my first full project with Godot and my first, Game Jam game, it was really intended to be a test. But, given the AMAZING feedbacks that I'm getting from all of you, I'll really think of making it a really full experience.
Thanks for your kind words
Very fun, and the story was very well written and effective! On browser the framerate really chugged for my older gaming laptop, but I managed to get to 45 after adjusting my mouse sensitivity :P
Thanks for playing!
All the element go great together - art, gameplay, music, sounds. Overall an excellent entry to the jam.
I especially liked the variety of enemies and their different behaviours.
Thanks for the kind words!
