Way less pizza than I expected. :(
Quite a neat little game, though! If it had a visible UI and was easier to see the enemies, I can see it getting quite popular - I had no idea there was a score or a timer until I paused.
Fantastic music and theme! Also loved the sassy comments that come up when you're hit. It was frustrating when I was unable to dodge objects that appeared too close to me and noticed some issues with blurriness. Also, I found the score UI accidentally when I paused! It would be great to make that more visible or have an icon that indicates this.
I will echo what others have said. Often I would either have sprites spawn on top of me or come in offscreen before I react and destroy me. Upon taking a hit, I would be either teleported to a different part of the map, or perhaps all the objects on screen would be reset, but either way it was quite disorienting.
I also agree that there is some strange blurring going on graphically.
On the plus side, the game has a lot of personality and snark. Kind of reminds me of Crazy Taxi from back in the day.
Pizza = instaplay
Fun little game, good work! I would recommend increasing the player's speed a little bit if you plan on expanding it further!
Fun concept and gameplay. Also was jamming to the music the whole time!
Chaotic fast fun! Also enjoyed the snarky dialogue
Never say no to pizza.
A great idea, love it ! Just 2 small problems(for me),
oh, thanks for the advise. i apreciate it.
I really enjoyed the concept of delivering pizza in space, that was fun.
I agree what other people are saying about the fairness with the items flying around/spawning, but for the limited jam time you've got a load of different hazards which act in fun and unusual ways. For a post-jam sequel I'd recommend looking into reducing mixels (mixed pixel resolutions), but there's not often time for that during a jam when you just want something to work.
The arrow at the top was perfect, it really helped me navigate around the space. I thoroughly enjoyed the art style and the world-building. (Pizza... in space? What's not to love?)
It's a fun concept. My biggest gripe is that stuff can come at you from off screen very fast and decimate you in a heartbeat. At one point i might have had an asteroid spawn inside my face. But aside from that it works well enough. It's a shame about the blurring.
This is a cool entry, I enjoyed the premise and now I want pizza. Cool artwork too!
It's fun and the controls are solid, but it feels a bit too chaotic at times. The pixels look a bit blurry in my screen, even when I try to zoom in. The music doesn't feel like gameboy music at all.
A nice idea but imo a ship is a bit slow. But solid base is there.
Music is not gb-ish at all but, well, it's a matter of taste and still, I liked that. Btw, you have a bug when upon death you hear both tracks.
oh, i didn't knew that, thanks for the feedback. i'll think what to do to the soundtrack bug.
Limited time, what can I say :)
Fun idea! got a bit turned around with navigation
THANKS, i appreciate it.
Wish there was some UI to help me keep score, overall a solid entry with good music and gameplay.
thanks for the feedback bro, i'll think about that on nexts patchs
really enjoy the concept of this game , music sound nice
but the blurry pixel art really break the art of this
fix pixels and it will be perfect ;)
thanks for the feedback bro, i'll try better next time about the blurry pixels, for now i duno how to fix it, but i'll think about it.
Graphics is pixel inconsistent (small pixels on player ship, bigger on background elements etc.), it really breakes the visual effect of the game - It do not look like something that would came out on gameboy, i don't feel that specific gameboy soul. But it sounds nice. I like the overal art and gameplay idea.
thanks for the feedback man, it helps a lot, i'll think better about it and take that as experience.
lack of GUI, something like score system... gets boring quick
