Found all the parts, the locator was a nice touch.
That final minute, was tense. Really firing off my gun as I desperately tried to survive.
I flew off Noggin. Solid game mates.

How does your game match the theme?
Its set in strange version of outer space where planets are Noggins :)

I liked the atmosphere a lot! Couldnt find any of the parts, no luck, but have a lot of fun anyway. Nice work!
I also found a bug: for some reason, the correct font (as shown in screenshots) was not loaded, it shows a ugly Times New Roman. :P
Cool little game! I was confused about how the radar worked at first, but once I figured it out everything else felt intuitive. I like the sound effects for locating an item!
That said, when restarting the game one of those survival wave crabs didn't despawn, so I started the next round by stepping on one. That or I got REALLY bad spawn luck for that second round.
If I had any critique, aside from the too-small text everyone else mentioned, it's that the items were placed a bit too far apart for my tastes. Walking around the outermost edges of the map because all the items were laid out in different corners was... a bit much. Especially when I started ignoring enemies and the "enemy approaching" sound got spammed over and over until I took them out, or when no enemies appeared at all so I was just wandering an empty wasteland.
I like the visuals and designs, especially those slime enemies (they remind me of Grimer and Muk!) and the little robot guy giving you tips at the ship! Really nice work on the sprites!
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the game, the music and alien sprites were really nice. I had issues with the font being hard to read, but I know it’s getting fixed and I’m happy to hear that. Great work on the game, it was fun!
Cute art and solid music in this. I found the font hard to read, which made it difficult to work things out, but I got it eventually. I also found myself wishing I could move diagonally, especially when fending off attackers, but the mechanics still work well. The atmosphere is great (even when it runs out :) ). Good work!
Diagonal movement presented technical issues as well due to the limitations of the engine. It has a tendency to not allow you to turn while you are moving in some cases. It is possible to work around this in construct but the time investment would be fairly significant and one we could not afford with just one developer working on the mechanics.
I'm glad you like the music! I really want to explore the gameboy chip more. I discovered during this jam I prefer working with it over the 2A03 which is what I'm more used to. For my next project, I'm going to do a little more experimentation I think with the wave channel in particular c:
Very cool and unique art!! I struggled a bit reading the text, but had a really fun time playing this game, great work :)
Really good looking game, gameplay is fun, enjoyed shooting monsters and the music is very atmospheric. It took me along time to realise there are some coordinates provided in the top right corner. Wandering around without any hint was getting boring. Maybe it would be easier to understand those clues if the font was more legible.
I liked the game , position hints are fun additions to finding parts than just providing both coordinates. Presentation of game is quite good, though I wish the text was more readable.
There's that feeling of being lost at night in Minecraft and you only have the coordinates of your house
The intro really does add a lot to the feel of the game! It felt trippy, aided by the pastel colour palette.
Maybe it was a bit too easy to find the ship parts... but it would have been daunting, nigh impossible, to search without any directions...
The aliens were well scary at first, but then I realized I didn't have to kill them but could just outrun them, which was less fun but at least I didn't have to kill them!
I did like the recharging blaster mechanic, and the fact that the shot came out of the blaster slightly off-center. Nice attention to detail.
Music meshed nicely with the game, and the sound effects were spot on.
Great jam game!
The "storytelling" and cinematic intro really make your game stand out. The game boy vibes are really strong and I love these kind of "hold the line" finales, took me by surprise. Great work!
Great concept for the theme, this is a nice zany take. I love the cinematic opening. I thought the minimal size text was interesting. The enemies really freak me out when they make that noise, yikes!
I really enjoyed this one, I would definitely play an extended version of this that went to different planets.
Great ending too, very satisfying.
That last stand sequence at the end was pretty epic.
You crafted a very special atmosphere even with all the GB limits, outstanding.
