Woah the pixelart is really good and I kept playing trying all the possible combinations, the hints were really good it is a fun game!

That was fun! The nothing ending was really the cherry! Loved it!

Amazing art, and simple but fun mechanic!  The hints were useful but not to the point of spoiling the game, good job. Bonus for replayability!

NOOoOoOooooo!

What a unique concept, loved everything about this!

Loved the joke ending!

Submitted(+1)

Was interesting, I liked how you have to play with different combinations based on what Jack says.

He acts like he's hungry but when I feed him nothing he's happy. Sure is full of sass and has the picky appetite of a toddler. Great art and audio. Good job!

Thanks for playing!

The sarcasm on his no-food easter egg ending doesn't convey well enough via text.   If I could go back and change one thing I'd try to make that ending more clear.   He'll get fed either way though.  That's why he brings you back after the fake credits to be eaten.

The approach to the artstyle is incredible, one of my favorites of this jam for sure!

Submitted(+1)

well, this kept me hooked for a stupidly long time! Great graphics, music, eav sample, controls, and works on hardware... amazing effort!! Almost full marks, somehow..?! Haha 👌🏻

Submitted(+1)

Great pixelart, nice animations and the "No" scream was very well compressed 👍

Submitted(+1)

Youwza! Nice game!

The music definitely makes the atmosphere tense. However Jack should consider accepting the milk for building strong bones.

I had a lot of fun with Candy Curfew!  Played it all twice to make sure I explored the whole neighborhood.

I love this game!

This is the first game i've rated 5/5 on everything. There is just something about it that i absolutely love, I think its the replayability and also the art of Jack. I can't imagine how long it took to make the SFX for the word NO if you did it by hand. If you release a cart, let me know! Bravo!

Edit: Also jack you sassy bag of bones, how can you have any ice cream if you don't eat your chicken?

Developer(+1)

Wow!  Thank you for the kind words!

Submitted(+1)

I like the ending a lot

Submitted(+1)

Wow I love this. Saw your other comment about that the "menu" he wants is randomized each time, that's great! Super funny, great entry

Jack is creepy AF. "NO!!!!"
I did get a hang after my 5th guess, but this didn't stop restarting and trying to figure out the solution. Looks great, very spooky!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!   Can I ask you a little more about the hiccup after the 5th guess?  I'd like to try and replicate it for troubleshooting.

Did the game get stuck completely or just start running slower?  Did it get stuck in the "no" animation or later on during his feedback on your choices?

Thanks again for playing!

Submitted(+1)

I tried to recreate it but no luck!

He cleared the table, said no and then just nothing. No problems on second go though!

Developer

Thanks for the reply!   I had one other person get a weird hang after the title screen, but it seemed to go away on it's own as well.

Didn't ruin my experience at all :)

Submitted(+1)

Super hard, super addictive.

Submitted(+1)

Great job! Jack may be a picky customer, but I enjoyed the puzzle of figuring out his preferences
