Such a well-made game! Everything feels great. Unlike most shooters, the enemy actually predicts player movement. One of the best games honestly.

This is excellent! The visuals, the effects, the chosen music, it all fits together really nicely and the game plays great, really cool interaction between defense and offense and it's super clever that you gain more energy for your attack by absorbing shots while in defense mode. The one thing that'd be cool is to have your attack launch with a bit more force when first sending it out, give it a bit more oomph. But, all in all, this is an excellent game, really fun to play! But, man that last boss is tough, haven't managed to beat 'em. Great work!

The game was very fun to play. It is very polished and the visuals and SFX nicely fit together.
The only thing I'm not entirely sure about is the boss fight. For me it was very heard and I haven't managed to defeat him even though the rest of the game was very easy for me.

Simple, fun, and incredibly polished. My only problem is that the boss fight discourages the style of play that it seems the beginning of the game encouraged

Wow! Just wow. This entry is awesome! From polish, to sfx, to gameplay, to the BOSS TITLE INTRO! That moment was awesome.

Two gripes though: The boss is really really hard, so not having a checkpoint soured the experience when I died to it. Also, It feels like the orb should deal damage as you pull it back towards the player. I got used to it not doing that after a while, but it would still be neat.

Absolutely loved it! The neon, the music, the satisfaction of smashing through the unsuspecting enemies. Managed to kill the boss on my second try as well. Amazing job! This is definitely something I can see myself playing outside the jam. (and that subtle sound effect when you're about to run out of energy is such a  great detail and adds so much polish)

I really liked the dual purpose attack/defense mechanic. Waiting for your time to strike was a lot of fun, as was being surprised by a wave of enemies when you're just about out of power. Also, the graphics and sound were great! It was pretty much the definition of juicy

Really fun and the challenge ramps up nicely! I didn't make it to the boss but enjoyed the duel mechanic a lot. Nice touch on having to pick your sphere up if it runs out of energy. If you continue to work on it, some more variations in enemy attacks that force you to use the defense more could be interesting.

Nice job all around!  I had fun playing, and the game looks great.  Consider adding a combo-system.  It felt great switching between defense and offense, and I think a combo system can introduce a nice rhythm to the game as well.

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! I considered adding some kind of scoring system to the game but I put it near the bottom of things to do and by the time I would've added it the time was 3 AM and I just wanted to sleep. Happy to hear you enjoyed my game!

Great mechanic that fit's perfectly with the theme. You could have added something that stops you from camping in the base but great work!

Thanks for the feedback! I initially though the punishment of not being able to actually destroy anything would be a big enough deterrence from camping, but when I got some playtesting feedback from a friend with around 12 hours left (but I also needed to sleep) he also said I should add some kind of hazard when combined. Ultimately I just didn't want to add another enemy type + polish it that late into development but I might consider it sometime later!

Great game, I can see lots of time went into designing mechanics. Can get repetitive after a few minutes, but otherwise great job.
