How does your game fit the theme?
Blobby needs to attach itself to anchors to move, as we know, blobs can't walk and can only move by attaching themselves to anchors

This is really well done, I love the mechanic and I appreciate the mouse icons that spawn by the anchors- they make it really clear how to play and what to click on. Nice work.
It was a last minute change I made to the anchors, I'm glad to hear it works well
What a fun grappling game! I thought the hand drawn look in-between levels was very adorable and the actual level design was very fun and had just enough challenge that made it enjoyable as well as the progression each level felt nice.
Thanks a lot!
Very fun! Good job!
Thanks!
Fun experience with a great artstyle. It was a bit finiky to control, as the hitboxes to click are a bit small and requires some dexterity, making it feel like it required a lot of tries. It's really easy to forget that you can slow down the game, as I forgot all about it while playing. Great level design for the jam!
Thanks a lot for your feedback :-)
Much more fun than I expected!
Good to hear :-)
loved it!
I'm really happy to hear that! :-D
Fun game with a cute aesthetic :)
I was actually impressed with how intuitive the mechanic is!
Thanks!
The most fun swinging concept game I've seen in this jam by far.
I was gonna say how the game should be made a bit easier, but then I read the other comments and realize that I did the thing without the slow down ability. xD Which honestly wasn't that bad of a challenge so if you continue working on this I might suggest some sort of hard mode without the slow down.
The two things I think really need to be improved is the art for the different types of terrain, it was hard to tell them apart sometimes and know what they do at first.
The other would be to increase the hit box for the anchors, because on those larger levels it would become so small it was kinda frustrating.
Other than that, great work!
Thanks for your feedback! You're the first one to ask for a hard mode ^^
I'll keep good note of this if I continue developing it.
Definitely loved the raw art for UI. Great concept , had fun swinging. Just one point that I found can be improved - The distance between anchors should be such that the player can quickly click on the second anchor after clicking on the first, cause everyone is not a flicker in fps games xD.
Thanks for your feedback! The clickability (size and spacing) of the anchors is something that I hear a lot so that's something I'll improve if I continue developing it.
I love the idea and the mechanic is really fun, but I found 2 main problems. The first is that the slow down makes everything so easily and in some levels I found it so important that I dont understand why that is not the default speed, I can get that faster makes it harder, but I don't know if this games needs that.
The second one was that the clickeable areas of the anchor are too small in my opinion, is really hard to not fail, specially when you need to be fast, if they were a little bigger it would make the game way better, not too much, just a little bit.
Still, I enjoy the game and like the idea a lot. Good Job!
Thanks for your detailed feedback! The speed and size of the anchors are things that I'll definitely tweak if I continue developing it after the jam :-)
I loved the hand drawn UI, and the grappling puzzles were pretty challenging.
Thanks!
This art is awesome haha. Definitely on the difficult side to get things to line up nicely, but it was very easy to reset the levels, and they weren't long individually so it didn't feel too tedious to keep retrying.
Thanks for your positive feedback!
Actually really nice, love the art, love the momentum based gameplay, etc. Some of the levels felt overly difficult, and I wish the range for latching on was larger
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind if I continue developing it after the jam.
Fun precision mechanic and I like the scribble art, especially the icons.
Thanks!
Great game, good implementation of the physics! Very nice
Thank you :-)
fun game, good momentum and the addition of a second rope really maximises the potential.
Just wish the correct angle was a little bigger on some levels and the anchor hot boxes were a bit bigger
Thanks for your feedback, I'll keep it in mind for future improvements :)
The level design is great. I had a lot of trouble trying to beat some of levels but they were definitely the fun kind of challenging. The base mechanic and the way it's used are really cool, I feel like the fact you can grapple multiple points is sorta useless tho unfortunately. Since you can't decide which to ungrapple from it means you just end up ungrappling from all of them rather than the one you wanted to.
I feel like making it so you could ungrapple from them specifically based on which one would definitely help that. Another thing though, which was very much helped by the time slow, is the accuracy you need to hit the anchors throughout the levels. I feel like maybe making it a little easier to hit them could help? Just to help avoid times where you just barely miss the grapple.
One.. "bug" I did run into though was a little "bounce" sometimes when I would ungrapple or be grappled that ended up with me dying basically every time it happened. I'm not sure if that was intended or just a side effect of the physics but it was definitely kinda annoying... but once I figured it out I managed to get past it.
For a first jam though, great idea, great mechanic and pretty awesome execution. I'd definitely be interested in seeing more levels!! Especially with those bouncey blocks! Which I honestly thought were going to be falling blocks.
Thanks for your detailed feedback, it's very helpful!
For the ungrappling, it is possible to ungrapple specifically one anchor by clicking on it again, the space bar detaches all anchors, I admit, it is tricky to pull off when swinging at high speed... I made some levels that would use it more but they were too janky to be in the final version.
For the difficulty, there are definitely some level that I would want to tweak in the future (eg. level 12) by adding space, make them a bit more forgiving and maybe add a trajectory line when you swing.
I haven't seen the bug during development and testing, if you can tell me how to reproduce it, I'd be happy looking into it.
I'll definitely keep you posted if I continue developing after the jam :-)
Well done! I liked the grappling mechanic as it felt satisfying to get right. Overall this was a good entry to the jam. :)
Thanks for your positive feedback :-)
I like the concept and the art, and found it fun to fling myself around, even if it does need high degrees of precision to succeed in some cases.
Thanks for your feedback, I'll probably tweak some of the hardest levels if I continue developing it after the jam ends.
I liked it very much. The game has a very compelling and fun gameplay loop. It has a very simple yet very unique and charming art style. Thought I think the game's normal speed should have been decreased a little, as I found myself holding the slow time key the whole time after 3 levels. Maybe even the slow time mode could be slower to give player a bit more precision.
But this is only a minor complaint, the game is very good
Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it, it's definitely something I keep in mind if I continue developing it after the jam ends :-)
