great tutorialization, use of checkpoints and spooky vibes! I finished the levels and you finished a polished game!
This aesthetic is so amazing! Its dark and foreboding and the game mechanics make for interesting and enjoyable play :D A well designed and polished submission!
Thank you.
It warms my heart the game was well received.
Very nice level design! Someone watched Mark's videos on level design and it shows :P
Thank you.
Teaching the mechanics with the level design was a high priority for me. Happy to hear it was well received.
I liked the unique art style and the cool puzzle mechanics. The level design was also greatly balanced with introducing new stuff and difficulty to keep things interesting.
I really like this one, great job!
wow, you really ran with the mechanic. I love that it seemed like at every level I was learning something new
This was so cool! I absolutely love the art design. The mechanics were fun as well, especially when the finger stand and eye light extender (that’s what I’m calling them) were introduced. Great level design and platforming! I hope you keep working on this post-jam. I’d love to see it as a full game someday.
Thank you.
I am happy to hear you enjoyed it. I do not believe I’ll continue on the game afterwards (GM2 license expired) but I might reconsider.
loved the audio- n visual design!
one of my favourite games from this jam ✿
Thank you. Lovely to hear it was well received.
Great job! I like how the game is built on a grid but the grid is based on quarter-units which lets you be more expressive with the level design. Really smooth to run, the static-y aesthetic was lovely.
Love the aesthetic and the interactions between the hand and the eye with the super jump you can do. Good job! I also love any game that closes itself when it's done.
Really cool game! We had a similar thing in mind with the light and movement connected, it was cool playing your take on on it.
Really liked the way the eye can go sideways and the hand is narrow, really clever.
Well done!
Thank you.
Nice to hear that that mechanic was appreciated.
One of the best submissions in the jam, it expands right when it gets boring, it doesn't infuriate you like most puzzle games do to you when your stuck. Its a really clever mechanic that you have in this game that expands in ways that makes sense. My only critism is that when you quit the game and join again, it doesn't save your progress. But still amazing, I hope you make it into the video!
Thank you.
I am happy the game never felt stale. I really tried to making the progress of mechanics feel natural. For the scope for such a short game I felt a level save state was a bit overkill. I hope it did not bother you too much.
No it the save state really helps a lot! It was a thing I wanted to add to what I said but there's so much good things about it. The save state really helps especially for someone like me, who sucks a puzzle games.
Man this is a good submission. The static transitions when the level resets is super fitting. I love how the different characters are different in very practical and obvious ways. I also love that they need to stick together not because of some arbitrary meter or anything but just simply because you can't see what you're doing. Love it!
And you even have checkpoints! So thoughtful!
Thank you very much.
I feel the things I designed were really well received. This comment really warms my heart.
For a game built around static there is very little noise between the player and the star of the show, which is the laser focused controls joined together with level design.
Really love this game, I love the light up mechanic and the interaction between the characters. Really nice puzzles. A good amount of challenge without becoming frustrating. Well done
Nearly perfect game, my favourite one in the jam so far :)
Thank you. Warms my heart to hear that.
Very good! Memorable visual, solid mechanics, level design and controls, what is very important for platformer. Surprised how much you managed to fit in just 2 MB)
More levels and tweaking or adding coyote time (seems like there isn't) - and you'll get exellent game)
Thank you. Feels great to hear that the parts I focused on were well received.
The coyote time, and specifically additional levels, were cut to to time constraints. Sadly I never got as far to build memorable puzzles with moving platforms, nor implementing platforms which were only solid in light.
Man, despite its simple looks, the level design is absolutely brilliant. Above and beyond what I'd expect from a game jam game
Thank you.
I put a lot of effort into making the level design feel good. Makes me happy it was well received.
Hello! We like your level design and the progression of the mechanics! We also love your checkpoints (thanks) and think you went with a nice aesthetic for this game! It feels like you have a good grasp of your strengths as a developer!
Thank you.
Great to hear the level progression felt good, as I focused a lot on ensuring it felt natural (and the checkpoints helps keeping away the frustration).
I love the artstyle. It is very creepy and unique. The levels and gameplay were also nice. I like that one character is literally an eye and you need it to see around. Fun game.
Thank you.
The art style is a direct result of a phenomena called “programmer art”. The static helps hide this. I also appreciate you mention that the eye sees. It is a detail that I personally like as well.
Loved the shader effects and the idea about light my game had a similar premise but with zombies.
