The music was a perfect choice for this game!
Thank you!
The main mechanic is fascinating, and very satisfying/rewarding once mastered. Very well polished and solid game!
Thank you, it makes me so happy seeing you experience our game the way it was intended. Glad you noticed the polish and found the spring mechanic fascinating! <3
P.S. For an extra reward for players like you who've managed to master the mechanics and want to push their skills to the limit, there is a secret at the very start of the game, to the left of the title screen ;)
I really like the “stick” ability. Adds a lot of variation that makes the game even more interesting.
Great game! Can’t wait to see what you make next year!
Thank you so much!! That means a lot, glad you liked it! <3 The game you made with hippie343 seems really interesting, good luck!
If this isn't at least in the top 100, then the world is broken. I wasn't sold on it at first, but I got hooked as I played and learned how to control them properly. There's a lot of speed running potential for a game like this. Phenomenal job!
Oh wow, what a compliment :) Thank you so much for your encouraging words!!! The experience you had with the game was exactly what I was going for and it makes me so happy seeing someone notice the speedrunning potential; personally, I felt the same during testing :)) Thanks a million! Hope your game does even better than mine! <3
Controlling was hard for me, but thats a great game! Loved the idea, and the implementation feels very accurate (physically) ! Nice job!
Thank you!! I'm glad you noticed I used the actual formula to make it as true to real life as possible <3
Nice graphics and overall cool game, well done :]
Thank you, glad you liked it!!
Nice submission! Controls are a bit frustrating but using to characters at the same time it's really hard to tweak. Congrats for your game!
Thanks!
Ah the controls and that spring frustrated me a lot! Nice presentation and mechanics though.
Thank you!
Cute game with nice art and music. The gameplay is also fun but is very frustrating. It's difficult to get the slimes where you want them to be which impedes some of the platforming. Great entry tho!
Thank you, glad you liked it overall!
The best one of its kind I've found! Others don't do much with the link, nice to see one that does!
mine does :P
Aww, thanks glad you found it unique! <3
nice game and cute artstyle.
Thank you!
Nice level design! Good job!
Thank you, nice to see you noticed the effort that went into it ;)
I loved the art and playing around with the mechanics but some challenges felt a bit tedious or frustrating at times.
Happy to hear you liked the art and the mechanics. I have to admit it's a bit challenging:)
This was really fun. Thanks for making it!
Thank you for playing it. Really glad you had fun!
Really nice presentation, Movement was a little frustrating at times though. It looks like a puzzle game but requires very precise timings with some difficult controls.
Thanks for your feedback! I tried to make a mix of a platformer and a puzzle game but seems like ended up making something with exponential difficulty :) The presentation is the work of PaperBarber, my teammate!
Super neat! I loved the visuals and really enjoyed the puzzles, though it did get a little frustrating at times, especially when resetting. Overall, great concept, and great execution!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
Pretty fun! I liked the springy-ness of the characters, it felt really good to swing them across the levels, but I got kinda bogged down when the spikes came out. The way they kept resetting just a bit behind where I was last stable and the fact that they didn't reset in a "sticky" state made it kinda frustrating to get back to where I was.
I finally got hard-stopped at the first button/door area because the blue guy got through the door and the red guy got caught on the spikes. The door came down, the blobs reset, and it was impossible for me to move forward because the crate was juuuuust too far away to reach. Maybe just keep doors that have been opened up?
Thank you so much for your constructive feedback, it's more helpful than you think :) I knew about the first bug yet couldn't figure out a neat solution within the allocated time frame though your idea makes perfect sense now that I think about it. For your second point, I didn't encounter the bug during playtesting but I understand it now, thanks. I will fix it as soon as the jam is over. Glad you liked it despite all the bugs <3
There are a lot of games in this jam were you have to control 2 characters or things connected by a rope or a chain or something similar but using a spring for that connection creates some interesting interactions even if it also makes it a lot harder to control. Overall pretty fun.
Thank you, glad you found it unique and enjoyed it!
Getting over it. That's the vibe I got from this game... X)
At first glance, by reading the description, you'll think it's just a game using an overused concept. But the controls tho! Man it feels GREAT!
Yeah, that's though to control but I think that's the point. When you mess up and go backward, MANNNN does it feel frustrating. But when you succeed tho. That's straight up gold!
I really had fun playing your game! :D
Thanks for the comparison :D though I can't tell whether or not it's a compliment lol. It makes me over joyous that you liked how the controls feel. And yes you got exactly got what I was going for! Easy (or maybe not so easy) to understand yet hard to master :) I'm glad you had so much fun, thank you for your kind words <3
By the way, if you would like to push your skills even further, there is a secret at the very start ;)
"secret"
O_O
Wait. Really??? X)))))
Alright then. I'll try my best! X)
The controls felt a little strange at first, I kept forgetting which character I was in control of. But once I got the hang of it, it felt satisfying to slingshot the slimes over obstacles! The physics of it seemed really cool. Good job!
Thank you, glad to hear it felt satisfying after mastering the controls :)
