Art and aesthetic were great, and complemented the game really well!  The character portraits reminded me of Stardew Valley's.

I enjoyed the chill gameplay and having as much time as I needed to sort out the best pairings.  Playing was intuitive and fun, I enjoyed it!

Loved the presentation, and the game play was easy to grasp and led to a gentle, fun, time :D

Very nice.

I think I saw one character who seemed to both love and hate painting. :-)

You guys did such a great job with the art on this! Really amazing how many unique characters you all have created!

Like others have said, it's a fantastic execution of a simple but charming concept. The only real note I have (which I believe someone also mentioned) is that it would be nice to have a visual indicator when a match is wrong :)

Oh also I came across a small glitch where one character both liked and disliked art xD

aside from that, nicely done!

Enjoyed the stardew portraits and the soothing music. Just chill and nice overall.

A lovely relaxing game. Nothing really to comment, it was just the type of game I was in the mood for at the moment.

I like this idea. So calming. Something I thought of if you wanted to add a bit more stakes to the game is requiring the player to submit their solution and give them a limited number of tries. If any connections are wrong they lose a life. A gentle bit of randomness would help with this too.

Either way, love it! I think you could easily expand on it and make it a fully fledged game with a bit of polish.

Wonderful! Very simple idea but imho well implemented, relaxing and fun! It felt like solving sudokus or playing minesweeper. Could be a great mobile game

A neat little game. Found it to be an interesting challenge, and it took me some time to solve all the levels. It would be nice if there was an indication what connection is the problem. I also think I glitched the game when I tried to connect two people on the same side. Lastly, there's someone on the second level (Marcus) who both likes and hates art, which is silly.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I thought I'd managed to patch the same side connection bug but it seems it managed to make it back in. Adding feedback on connections has been an interesting topic, it's hard to balance that in a way that doesn't allow you to bypass matching likes/dislikes by quickly swapping connections in and out. It's proved a requested feature, and I think I might have a middle ground for the post jam version. The art thing was originally an accident which we spotted, but we thought it was kinda funny and left it in as it didn't affect gameplay. It seems to be confusing people though so we'll probably take it out post jam.

This game was very cute. I love the references to other franchises like Celeste (I see you Theo) and the Stardew Valley-esque pictures

This one has a charming feel to it. Good start to an neat concept.

Cute little game!

I do have one tiny tiny suggestion. You know how when you select and unselect a person it plays a little guitar note? It'd be really satisfying if each character played a different note in key with the song. Doesn't really have anything to do with the actual gameplay,  just something to make it that much more relaxing. Loved it!

I really like this idea, thanks for suggesting it! I'll have a little play around with the sound effects and see if I can get something to that effect working :).

Nice game, pretty relaxing and beautiful art. Congrats!

It's morning at my timezone so this relaxing music was really relaxing. Also i like the stardev-valley like art!

I loved how simple but intuitive it was. Pleasant peaceful music with a nice art style. I did accidentally break the game at one point trying to match someone with a person and the same side (seemed to get me stuck with a connection that would not release or connect). A nice relaxing time overall.

Developer

Thanks, glad you liked it! I'm aware of that bug, it was patched at one point but it somehow managed to sneak back into the final version! I'll definitely get it fixed for the more polished post jam version.

Really nice, the art was very cool and reminded me of stardew valley :D Gameplay is fun and original as well!

Excellent, the only negative point I found was that I was a bit lost at first.

Glad you enjoyed it :). A tutorial would be nice, and is something that i'll definitely try to stick in the post jam build. We put some instructions on the itch page but understandably not everyone's going to check that, and they might be a little abstract without the game open.

It was soothing, Liked the celeste reference with Theo

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad someone spotted Theo's little cameo :).

Really charming! Cool art style!

Would have loved to see some more visual feedback on "something aint right here" when all matches are drawn.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I had a feedback in the works but I couldn't balance it well, you could just spam connections to figure out who was compatible without much thought. I'll see if I can manage to come up with something for the post-jam version.
