This game is super polished and is very fun. I could totally see this being expanded into a co-op game where one player cant be spotted and the other just plays the game as usual with no talking super unique execution of this idea of being the game engine and the audio was great. Overall fantastic job. :D
A very nice interpretation of the theme, really liked the idea.
The mechanics are simple but clever, and the game is fun to play and controls well. It was a little bit on the harder side for me, as I don't usually play games like this, but I really enjoyed the gameplay.
Really loved the dual purpose of the potions as I could use them either on me or on the player.
Also the small touch of music getting louder when You're closer to player viewport and quiter when you get away is a neat addition.
Nice and clean art style, looked like something out of a story book. I liked the camera work you did during the tutorial, also how you explain everything with text was nice. I would remove that skip button and instead keep the instruction displayed as long as the player's not following it. once the player follows it, instruction's gone. I liked the controls as well which are fun to play. Good Job!
Feel free to hop into my game as well, and share your rating and comments if you have the time!
One of the most fun games with the most unique ideas for the theme I've played this jam. It's a very simple mechanic to pick up but it's still really challenging, I couldn't quite beat the clock in my playthrough. I like the art and music a lot for the theme of your game. Great work!
I played your game on stream here:

This was a neat concept. I really liked that the garbage collector was a slime. This was a neat justification for doing the cleanup work.
Such a unique and great concept! Really liked the difficulty on this one, like you get obsessed trying to protect the player but you'll end up dying to the monsters but if you keep running away from the monsters, they'll end up hording the player. And also I suggest like adding a pointer or an indicator where the player is like if the player isn't on the screen anymore. But other than that, it's a really fun and challenging game. Well done!
This was a cool game, and had some unique gameplay. Difficulty was well balanced imo. The only thing I would change is maybe explaining what each potion does in the tutorial.
Ha! What a wonderful concept. I really liked the pun of calling it the garbage collector, and I loved the spawning in animation for the enemies being the unity object symbol. The hero was getting stuck since all the enemies were crowding around him but having him track the items was a really smart way to get him out of the way so I could chomp on his leftovers. Very smart!
I'm glad somebody liked the grass effect. First, I thought I would do it the proper way by spawning and deleting sprites. But then it would take some time to write, it would take so much memory (and that is something we don't wanna do to our poor little Garbage Collector XD), so I faked it with custom shader.
Very nice game! Honestly had a lot of fun and very addicting to just keep going :) Well executed and fun idea! Would love to see a polished version of it!
This was super cool! Really liked the idea of being in the game engine and the gameplay was good fun, kept wanting to play again
