How does your game fit the theme?
I reversed the Monster-Taming genre roles, you play as the "pocket monster". I always thought, games like Pokemon are kind of messed up. You get captured, forced to fight and feel pain over and over. Being enslaved by the monster trainers is horrible... So now, you have decided to escape and find freedom!! I had a ton of ideas, but with the time I was only able to make a simple Bullet Heaven game. Can you survive for 10 minutes and escape??

Good fun game, with a simple easy to understand story and good gameplay. I did not play for the full 10 min tough so not sure if I miss an ending screen or something.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for giving it a try! If you level the same weapon to max in the beginning it makes it way easier to beat :D

Great fun becoming an electrical yellow god :) It might be interesting if there was a unit type that threw balls at you. Maybe they could be deflected by attacks too.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah that would have been a good idea~ I'll add it for sure!

Really cool game with really good graphics! I really like how you made pokem- I mean minimon into a semi rougelike, great stuff! I found the aiming the first attack a bit hard, but afterwards it gets quite fun and as other people said the game gets quite crowded. I also found that the player was a bit slow and I think there was potential for a bit more juice. But overall great concept with great mechanics, good job, would love to see a post jam update! You can be proud of yourself!

(I haven't had too much time to play this game yet, I'll give tommorrow another try, maybe it changes my impression)

Oh hey! I've seen you before (what a coincidence) in snother smaller game jam. Just as great at making as always.

No probs in your game, friend :)

I liked the variety of upgrades, and the story/theming was good too!

A very fun game, you can't help but feel the resemblance to vampire survivors down to the smallest details like the positions of the UI on the screen and the ax upgrade.

But the story and art are amazing and very original!

Very charming and I had a blast

it's like if pokemon became a vampire survivors-like. i like the concept and the upgrade system is pretty satisfying. it's pretty rough trying to survive for 10 minutes haha

Hey nice game, was enjoyable to play!

Nice concept, funny sounds 👍

It was a very enjoyable game in harmony with the theme.

Developer

That's great to hear, thanks for playing :D

Wow great job implementing essentially an entire action-roguelike system in 48 hours! That's awesome.

Developer

Thanks for playing! A lot of the code I knew from previous games~ I learned the upgrade system from a YouTube tutorial during the jam hehe.

Surprisingly fun. I appreciate the upgrades aren’t just “+ damage” but full fledged weapons and specials.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it~ i like it too! it's a common trope in bullet heaven games these days :D

Absolutely adorable! Like the gameplay concept, tough to perfectly balance in 48hrs, but very well done!

Developer

Thanks!! I spent the last 4 hours to try and balance the best I could hehe :D

Pretty challenging, but I like the idea and design of the gameplay, could use some tweaks, but overall good job in 48 hrs. It was pretty gruesome seeing the lil mini-mon get all beat up :,(

Take that tamers!!! soo much carnage... what was the cost....

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! That's why I could never get into Pokemon, I don't want my cat to fight my neighbors cat ㅠㅠ thanks again~

Poor little Milachu... Not sure if I can play a "mini-mon" game again.

Game is pretty well rounded for a jam game (+1 for another solo dev), but feels a little bit slow to me at the start and how it ramps up. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing!  Yeah the beginning weapons needed to be more fun + more enemies at the start hehe.  And yeah~that's why I could never get into Pokemon, I don't want my cat to fight my neighbors cat ㅠㅠ

Very cute Vampire Survivors style game!! Interesting to see the "mini-mon's" perspective of this whole creature collector situation. Haha! Good job!!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, when I thought about it, it must not be fun being the pocket monster~

I made it all the way to the end, the orbiting lightning is OP. Good job on the game!

Developer

Awesome you made it 10 mins!!  Haha that one is strong! Thanks for playing to the end :D

Submitted(+2)

The game was very lovely! Felt very smooth and I dont regret a second of it HAHA! Also, axes are friggin op in the early stages, thanks for the work brother :D

Submitted(+2)

Holy moly! That’s some World War Z gameplay right there

Developer(+1)

Now that is an epic screen shot!! Thanks a bunch for beating my game :D

Hey, it’s you, Yester-Sol guy! Nice to see you again :)

Game is pretty cool! Unfortunately, I’m really bad at it. I thought I had it figured out on my third try (shock zone upgrades seemed so good), but the wave at ~ 3 minutes always seems to kill me.

Overall, balancing feels not too bad for a jam game and collecting the different attack types was a lot of fun. Maybe not the first “Pokemon (I mean, Minimon) trainers are actually evil”-take, but certainly a pretty good one :)

Developer

Hello there! Happy to hear someone knows about YesterSol yay~~ hehe.  From reading the comments the orbiting lighting is the best weapon to upgrade first if you wanna last the 10mins :D Thanks playing!!

Pretty neat game! The concept of playing as pokemon and fighting pokemon trainers is amazing. I felt like game got so easier when i level'd up my first ability and from that moment noone has ever reached my hitbox. I feel like you could've added some enemies who would throw some projectile at you (pokeballs or something) to make game more challenging. Near end there was so many enemies that the game started to lag a bit and i hoped there was a way to somehow heal in exchange of one level or something. But the game felt so satisfying melting through all the enemies. In the end i was at level 40 with all 5 weapons maxed-out. Great entry and good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah some of the final weapons do get too OP hehe.  More enemy types would have been awesome for sure~  If I ever make another game in this genre I'll do that fo sho :D
